Osimhen is our anointed one. Deal with it. The level he plays at right now, the company he stands in currently in world football, no other Naija player currently comes close.

Blueelf:
There should be no anointed player in this team

If you mess up, you should yansh down on the bench

Offside in how many games??

An european player should have basic understanding of positioning
I agree with you on this. The offsides have been too many. Truth is, we never know good could have come off if he wasn't caught offside too many times.

Even the strikers with the basic understanding of such still get caught offside more than once in some games. Chill. This is not how to be a manager.

Bro, do you know how many times he has been caught offside in the first half of last game alone?

Well, its his career not mine

He has failed o score against a much weaker opponent in GWG colors

What of if he comes against senegal, morooco or even Ghana

Now I see why many say the guy disappears in GWG

Abeg, players wih questionable passion in the GWG has no place in the team

But who will be bold enough to take such decisions?

He is a striker

Ask yourself how many ball don touch him leg wey e misuse

Him been offside often makes passes to him useless and wasteful. He needs to drop deeper than the opposition defenders.

I am well aware. And I should throw him to the bench because of that?? Our most inform player? Our biggest gun who never slacks when on the pitch in the GWG?? Naah... you don't seem to realise who we are both talking about here.

Come up against Senegal and Morocco with our rubbish midfield?? With our nonsense imbalanced team selections?? Ofcos he will suffer.

Onyeka has made a couple of poor decisions and the second cost Omeruo a yellow card. The first could have resulted in a goal. Bright and Iwobi have been brilliant. Simon too hasn't done badly but I have not been impressed by Zaidu on the left side.

Osimhen needs to calm the heck down too. He can't stay onside to save his life yet he will be gingering as if he is Ronaldo. As for Chukwueze, the less said, the better. That guy's footballing IQ seems to be dropping everyday.

Really?

Where has he been in the last 3 games for GWG? How many goals?

Bros, don't bring Napoli form into this

All your european exploits is for nought if you play nonsense for your country

I maintain my position, Osimhen will not smell that CAF player of the year. He should continue

A desrved moroccan should win it - Hakimi or even amrabat

Just watch. You'll say I told you so

Coach needs to switch to 4-3-3. Our midfield is too scanty. If not for fear, those Guineans would have overrun us already.

Bring in Ndidi and move Iwobi to AM.

Apart from Ground duels battle, Onyeka hasn't done much in terms of progressing plays quickly and intelligently. His recovery has been good but his ball-playing in the recycling phases have been just mehh.

He is playing safe coz he knows he doesn't have the skillset to ball play as we want him to.

His poor press resistance showed in this half when he was robbed of a ball that he could have done better to bring under control after scanning his surrounds.

Zaidu Sanusi that some are criticising has made the most interceptions in this game at 5 and made more passes into the final third than any Super Eagles player.

It is just his crosses that haven't been accurate. All 4 of them.

see, osimhen is used to players with quick transition. If you watch napoli you will notice this. However, our players are too slow in decision making except iwobi. Take for instance chukwueze, robbing the ball when he was supposed to pass. However, osimhen is doing well. Omo na hunger for goal dey do our boy. Is better offside than being late ( joking though). All these things boil down to understanding. Another thing I like is the way moffi is defining is role. No positional clash with osimhen.

The first half highlights my point about certain players

Osimhen is our star boy but his lack of positional awareness is frustrating, always running into offside positions...I know you want to score so bad, but my goodness...

Osayi Bright Samuel is a new born star for Nigeria, solid player who knows how and when to overlap with his intelligent and purposeful runs, he's turning out to be our best player.

Omeruo is a rock of Gibraltar, this guy hardly puts in a wrong foot in the national colors, way better than Bassey and Ekong in my opinion, Omeruo and Ajayi are our most reliable yet overlooked players in that defence.

Chukwueze...how does this guy play so well for Villarreal yet suck so bad for Nigeria? I just don't understand the guy, needs to be dropped.

Simon Moses might not be a fans favorite, but he's a reliable player who works his socks off for Nigeria, you can't fault his tenacity.

Iwobi remains our best player when it comes to doing the creative duties, he also tracks back and helps the team in defending, he's not JJ Okocha, but you can't fault his efforts, Iwobi deserves to have another creative midfielder to relieve his burdens (Eberechi Eze should step up for Nigeria).

This team definitely needs more

He has been caught offside too much in both legs.

7 offsides in both legs so far.

That's poor.

4 in the first leg and 3 in the second leg.

We love him doesn't mean we shouldn't say the truth.
