AC Milan in on Danjuma

looks like Chukwueze deal not happening

Chukwueze still preferred choice. All of the options are in case Villarreal doesn't budge. They have a €25M budget for chuks which they already offered, Villarreal however wants €35M

Yes they are. As it is they'll likely lose him for free except Chukwueze is a dunce and signs another deal. AC Milan however too is stingy. In today's market 35M isn't much for Chuks but Italians don't like spending money.

Best time for him to leave is now quite frankly. You can't predict what will happen in one year.

If you’re not named juventus you can’t afford to sign any player above 40m twice

Or else you’re risking bankruptcy

unless you are a wealthy club you can't afford to be throwing money on players anyhow. We need to remember that not all clubs in Europe have deep pockets like their UK brothers. It's tough for chuks but then most of these clubs are trying to stay afloat and they need these funds.

I agree with you. I was however speaking in generic terms with respect to Italian teams. They rarely want to spend even when they have the funds for it. Inter for instance sold Lukaku for €130M just a year ago, but want to buy back for €30M. AC Milan just sold a player for €70M, they can afford to pay €30M if they want to.

His career is done and dusted, highly unlikely that the lost years could be recovered unfortunately.

a player villareal signed for mere 500k euros and one year to the expiration of he’s contract they got an offer of 25m euros to sell but they refused

The Spanish club management re just greedy

Good for him if he can get first tier club in Europe than wasting in second tier division and from reliable source Nwakili is avoiding second division teams to boost his chances with Super Eagles.

I said it here that only first division will give him real opportunity in eagles.I hope Chaves deal materialized than all these average Segunda clubs.

I hear what you say however qualifying and doing well in the WC is a huge sporting project that any serious sports minister can't afford to overlook.

When I say give support it doesn't mean interfering in the coaching setup or player selection of the team but helping ensure the logistics like training facilities, stadium pitches, hotels, bonuses etc. are all sorted so that the players can have maximum focus to deliver on their assignment.

A proactive minister would also help nip in the bud any controversy that might want to destabilize the team. For instance look at the current situation with the Super Falcons where the NFF and Waldrum are throwing shade at each other just few days to the commencement of the Female World Cup.

JohnBullMySon:
Please no. That is interference and FIFA doesn't joke with that. The feds should indict those corrupt people within NFF and the rest will sit up.

vindicated cus em join lowly rated Chaves wey fit relegate next season? In the portuguese league if u don’t play for porto, benfica, sporting and braga u re more or less in the same bracket with 2nd tier players in England,Spain,Germany and Italy 🤣🤣

Also aside the 4 top Portuguese clubs I mentioned others don’t pay well

At Chaves Nwakali is highly likely to earn below 10k euros weekly

truth be told he was golden in the u17 World Cup

A direct replica of John Obi Mikel in our youth teams but too light weight and lazy which I believe slowed he’s progression since he moved to Europe

Even one of the academy coaches in arsenal when Nwakali joined them said he doubt if the lad will make it to men’s football

He is technical and intelligent on the ball with good shooting and passing ability but lack that grit required in midfield by coaches of this era and that hv been he’s major issue

Ronaldo early on was told the same thing
So he had to bulk up
It’s not yet late for Nwakali
As professionals I think they know what to do especially when it comes to their weaknesses
