Early observation:
The Super Eagles team now look as if they are being coached. Nice to see the players communicating tactically.

Also like our build up play but we have a huge draw back with long balls. Either faulty placed long passes or poor retrieval. Either way, this is just the first phase and it is looking better.

NFF had better give Finidi the full coaching job, he's already a core part of this system and the boys will look up to him and respect him as a legend...they had better not bring another foreign journeyman "genius" and ruin this system.

Another observation is our pressing looks better and the zone pressing looks better organized.

However, despite Iwobi putting in an impressive shift, we look weak in midfield to attack transitions.

Another thing the coach must work on fast.

We need to score one or two more to quench their moral oo

Besides from the little I watched , our back line to remain attentive and calculative

Pressing better relative to AFCON?

I never see anything when impress me yet except the penalty goal.

Tianimu and Awaziem are the weak links, especially Tianimu. I no know weda dem use back pass swear for those two.

Omo we need a left back. This Bruno Onyemaechi is no upgrade on Zaidu.

A breath of fresh air when it comes to stamping out what I call "Maradona spirit". Finidi has quickly stamped his authority against individual play. Would like to see how Chukwueze and Chidera Ejuke will fare in his system.

That is actually the instruction from the coach. Their key duty is to make sure they don't lose the ball in critical areas during build up. I think they are doing that well.

The instruction is to pile pressure on our goal keeper with unnecessary back passes even when they have space and time to make a forward pass or run with the ball? O di egwu

Half time thoughts
- An impressive performance so far
- Loving the high line, high press and one touch football. Very deserved lead
- Ndidi been so good. Dessers and Iwobi also
- Benjamin Taminu looking like a revelation

Let's keep this up second half please
