Dominic Toretto? When did he leave cars/fast and furious franchise and came into football coaching? grin

Odunayaw:
I misinterpreted you by thinking you meant he should be assistant to Finidi. Sorry about that.

Nothing concern me with Amuneke. I don't even have an opinion about him.

Dominic Toretto's time at Gala and Flamengo saw him get fired o

We share the same feeling on that game. Mali really proved they are a cursed football nation at senior level. Haba.

I still de pissed at them for succumbing to CIV at AFCON

Finidi's emphasis on ball retention through passes, and quick ball recovery when not in possession of the ball, should see Alhassan Yusuf and Ralphael Onyedika starting ahead of Wilfred Ndidi and Frank Onyeka Because the first mentioned duo are better at press resistance, passing, and quick ball recoveries.

The agenda against Benjamin Tanimu is crazy, the boy had a solid debut all things considered.

Under Finidi, Tyronne Ebuehi might fare better than all our fullbacks because he is the most tidy in passes of the ball.

While i appreciate the improvements in our play under Finidi.
Finidi's system and interpretations of the game are not as intelligent and mature as that of Amunike.

You might argue that Peseiro compiled the list of invited players, and that this is just one game under Finidi, but i don't need a lot of games to ascertain a coach's ingenuity.

And on what basis did you assess Amuneke? I hope it isn't his u17 stint cause that will be laughable.

Ebuehi interprets the fullback role better.
His execution of long passing and crossing of the ball is better than those of the two you mentioned.

I see Aina and Osayi as wingers who can also do well as fullbacks.

Contrary to what most of you think, Aina is not a better fullback compared to Zaidu.

Thank you Bascovanveli for sharing the highlight of the friendly match between NGA and GHA.

Dessers did well in such an important game. Most people here forgot that we played Ghana,an arch-rival. Irrespective of the nature of the match, it will be keenly contested.

I remember Ghana defeated the Super Eagles 4-1 in a friendly match played in London years ago. We were outclassed and outplayed that very day. It took luck for the SE to get a consolation goal witch came via a well dispatched spot kick by Taye Taiwo.

From the shared video, Dessers ball awareness, off the ball runs and timing were absolutely spot on. He brings a different game to the table.
I saw him drop dip to pick up balls, linked well with his team mate, his positional awareness are top notch and calm dispatched the penalty kick. He will only get better from here.

I await the match against Mali to draw conclusions on the wide players.

You can't throw his achievements at the U17 level to the trash can. It wasn't just an African competition, Amunike holds a world record to his name.

It wasn't just that he won the competition at the world level, his ideas and how he implemented them was what stood out for me.

We have very good indigenous coaches.

Finidi's ideas and the implementations of it, are superior to that of Rohr and Peseiro. What Rohr and Peseiro has over Finidi is just CV.

Do you know why Favour Ofori is not participating?

Do you mean Favour Ofili?

If yes, she's gone pro and signed with Adidas. She's at the beginning stage of her professional career as an athlete, she'll therefore have to prioritise. Worthy of note is the fact that she just came back from injury. Onwuzurike also turned pro and wasn't at the All African games.

Ideas he's not been able to scale at the senior level? Don't act like he's not got other jobs after his u17 triumph. Judge him by that. How did he fare in his subsequent jobs?

I am not against Amuneke and at some point was very pro giving him the job. But we shouldn't shift change the goalpost because of him. By your metric Manu Garba also deserves the job since he won the u17 world cup and had a good system there too.

I’ll gladly throw it to the trash can, the fact that he couldn’t replicate it at U-20 is enough reason to judge him not to talk of his poor record at senior football

Very very worse, because they are currently on 67th, by losing to us, they've dropped to 68th.

If they won they'd have gotten more points if we do the subtraction of both sides' points, and the points they gain will be subtracted from our current point 😁 Problem grin
Glory Glory 🙌
