Was watching the match with someone who said the S.E are not playing with a formation.

I asked him if he is aware of Finidi's statements regarding how unimportant of Formation to winning games, his retort was a no.

The below was on the 7th June 2024

dijon:
"Allow you do your job" has cost you a win in your first real official match. This mentality will not take him far in SE.

You dumped a very top player in Boniface that is ability is not in doubt on the bench and started a Onuachu that fans have never liked his football with SE and you have the temerity to tell fans to Allow you do your job. Nigeria coaches and that statement is like 5 and 6.

You started kelechi that is terribly off form...I can't remember if Kelechi has played upto 4 matches this year 2024 with Leicester City.

You took Tanimunu to play central defence, and Bassey to play left back so as to please your bosses that want to sell players and when it boomerang on you, you switched Tanminu ro right back, Osayi to left back and turned SA to prime Brazil in the first half.

Finidi is not the manager that will qualify SE to the world cup. Directionless NFF should relive him now before it's too late...too many elementary decision making in playing selection and formation.

I predicted maximum 2 point in the two matches because of all what I have seen and observe from the end of Afcon mid February to the 30th of April 2024.

SE will not beat Benin with Finidi in charge...he does not have it all...too inexperienced. He is already cracking.

Benin were gifting us balls left and right to come attack them and tiaminu was busy passing to Nwabali

That right back Omo he deserves to be locked in jail

THE RETURN OF THE ERA OF CALCULATOR IN SE QUALIFICATION MATCHES.

Observation: Bafana Bafana has always been a tough juggernaut for the SE of recent. It has always been either they beat us at home or we barely escape with very slim margin/victory in competitions played out of Nigeria (Afcon).
Coupled with this abysmal preparation( inexperienced gaffer, withdrawals and debutant call ups) and playing a prepared, tested and refined SA team, its going to be a very long night for SE in UYO.

My verdict: This two matches came too early for the gaffer and there is nothing he will add to the playing style of the SE but only a disjointed, chaotic display and SE will only take one point from six maximum point in the June matches and this will be the albatross not qualifying for the World Cup.

Prophet Dijon

The same man who drew against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.yes him.
We all know we were lucky
He had no clue and the Final game showed that clearly
He was tactically empty in that game

We were a goal up and watched Cote d'Ivoire kill us in slow motion

No answer totally clueless performance
Final ?? Second is the first loser
Keshi did better with worse and scornful treatment from NFF

beating the same Ivory coast who had a much better squad then
How did we treat him

I stopped reading your statement when you said we were lucky. The fact that you're willing to blatantly deny and ignore Peseiro's defensive masterclass at the just concluded AFCON is enough for me to ignore every other thing you said.

If a local coach had done what Peseiro did, you would have praised him to the heavens and totally ignored how he did it. Make una abandon this una racism oo. It's not healthy for the human mind.

Ajayi is not even good enough to make our bench, I don't know how trained coaches fail to see that he isn't good. Don't they watch ball??
The fact they are inviting him over the likes of Leon and Torunarigha is weird.

Guy, we have the players to win this match. Finidi is not a capable hand. Blame the NFF. Now ,they will return to foreign coach and Amunike will never get his opportunity. Very sad

Their players would not make our bench

But football and sports in general is more than name

Determination and hardwork beat skills all day everyday

We look on paper the match is a walkover but e be is like film

Fat headed goalkeeper shears shouting and losing focus when it matters

He did that against Ivory coast in the final and conceded just after that.

I can't wait for Ekong and Leon to be back in the fold. Backline needs experience and leadership.

I talk am.... Na next thing we gonna be saying be that. We forget the pressure that comes from not having a win on previous 3 games. The damage was already done before Finidi took over. He only made it worse. Imagine going into the match against SA with 2 wins. The pressure would have been a little less. But now 4 games 3 draws and a loss? How do we come back? We can't even afford to draw any match anymore let alone lose 1. It is freakin precarious situation right now

No damage was done sir.

Peseiro only reverted to defensive formation because of our ekuke defenders. NFF that instead of going for peseiro upgrade.
They pick their own. End grin

Finidi should be sacked asap. No urgency from the players at all. Just passing the ball around as if they re playing a practice match

Which coach can help Nigeria now? Either we go back and beg Jpes or Amunike to come back or go for Pep Guardiola's assistant. Finidi na wash.....

There is a bad air flowing around any player of Nigerian origin....the feeling of being a demi-god once they start earning big, which translates in underperformance. This will only be curtailed by a foreign coach. A local manager can never have a say, except he's a Steven keshi or probably dan amokachi
