both the nff and sport ministry dont have enough money to pay a coach 2m dollars per year. That's around 3 billion a year.
Let's even assume they have such money. If they ever have an ion of sense, they better not ruin such a huge project with silly interference as they usually do. Na dem sabi sha grin grin

CAF politics
The year 1998 after the world cup
Okocha was ripped to win it
But Hadji got it even to is own surprise

Against Etoo CAF president choose is country man twice ahead of Etoo

Another year Drogba was to win it but because he didn't attend it was given to Kanoute of Mali

So it's based on sentiment
Yes against Hadji I agree but Eto I disagree cuz Eto record was phenomenal. He won three UEFA champions league, won two Afcon and played very significant role for Barcelona and Inter Milan success…..Okocha moved to Bolton was a career mistake

The amount alone is enough proof the news is fake (at the very least the amount quoted is). Where will NFF get €2M from?

For context €2M will make him the 7th highest paid coach in the Euros and Copa America. €1M is more realistic.

Exactly. Don't divulge the information before owngoal goes ahead to leak it and then your detractors will come out from the woods.

He is not better than what we already have, so don't expect him to come add something extra.

I agree. He's error prone, easily dribbled and get's beaten for pace often. However, he's 25 and experience has taught me not to write off any active footballer.

Case in point, is William Troost Ekong who I never rated and considered an Isaac Okoronkwo v2.0 but has now developed into a very solid defender.

Gabriel Osho could still come good with regular game time and more exposure.

This current spanish side does not play tiki-taka. I prefer spain to win it rather than England although I know England will win.
