AwonPalaba: Exactly. The fact he was the one forcing his way out of the club meant he had to be considerate. Unwanted Sterling accepted wage cut to move to Arsenal. Unwanted Sancho secured a move to his boyhood Chelsea only because he took a significant wage paycut. Napoli had already accepted a paycut on his transfer 135m to 65m Osimhen could have done same. 6 Likes |

JohnBullMySon: You're just spewing for the sake of it. The whole footballing world went on a sabbatical in 2020 due to covid for 3 months. Not just any break, a recess where no contact training was possible for months. Only in-house workouts. In fact Mourinho was almost fined for personal training with Ndombele Ligue 1 was 5 months because they ended their league. And guess what, PSG who went on the longest sabbatical made their first UCL final this century. Osimhen is out for only 4 months, and has access to team training. He also has 6 competitive games to boost his morale and keep his mind sharp . 6 Likes 1 Share |

TheLoneCitizen:It’s a loss for all parties involved Napoli, Chelsea and Osimhen. You think Osimhen can demand for huge wages after 6 months of non active football? He will likely end up in that same Saudi Arabia he’s avoiding now with huge pay cut. I feel sorry for the man. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Mybettingtips(m): 1:10pm On Aug 31 |
TheLoneCitizen:Not the same scenario here. Covid paused football worldwide took a bit of time for everyone to readjust. This one is affecting only Osimhen, world football is going on. How do you stay relevant without active football when club football is going on. Bad for a professional footballer |

TheLoneCitizen:I wish I could like this 100 times!!! Well said. Let me add to the list, Kanu had a heart surgery and was out for several months and still dazzled with Arsenal after that. Neymar has been out for too many times injured and he still remained Neymar each time he came back. Diego Amando Maradona was banned from football because of cocaine use for 15 minutes even when he don dey old, yet he showed us pepper at the US 94. Infact he carried Argentina on his back at the 94 world cup till he was banned again for failing a drug test. With what Osimhen did to rise from his Wolfsburg horrors, don't count him out yet. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Some comments on her can be very frustrating. Guys have clarity of thought for once na. I'd like to clarify a few thoughts and hopefully people will stop saying them moving forward 1. Osimhen should have gone to Saudi Arabia Osimhen literally gave the go ahead. The Saudi folks have been in Naples since Thursday, had agreed 100% terms with both Napoli and Victor with the understanding that should Victor not reach an agreement with Chelsea they will sign him. Victor gave the go ahead Thursday night/Friday morning, and Napoli immediately renegade on earlier agreement, requested 5M extra and killed the deal. So Victor not moving to Saudi Arabia wasn't a fault of his at all. 2. Osimhen's value will drop cause he'll stop playing. First of all, Osimhen has at least 6 competitive games with Nigeria before December. So there's no scenerio like many have painted, that he'll be off football totally. Also, Victor is a mentality player, if I were a betting man I'll bet on the street boy from Olusosun who against all odds made a name for himself to become a top striker in football today. Victor just needs to work in himself and I'm almost certain offers will come at the right time. What's worst case scenario if going by the argument here clubs in Europe don't come? He gets another offer from Saudi Arabia and still makes all the money in the end. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

TheLoneCitizen: That’s the point. I’m not saying Osimhen will never get to play top flight football again. I’m simply saying. Sitting on the sidelines will make things worse. He won’t get anything better in Europe in January. 1 Like |

JohnBullMySon: He may. It depends on perception. A clever manager may quickly realize he could get a good player for 60 million or less and not bother about summer. Not every coach is stat crazy. A good olayer like that going for a cheap prize is a big opportunity and there is no point waiting fir Sumner. Psg could get him for 50 million in the winter if their strikers are not playing well. Some managers love issues like this. A player having problems with his manager who is supposedly not too good again. If am a manager I will go for him in January at a cheap price |

Some people are just so weird. When the Saudi offer was made to Osimhen you didn’t want him to go there. The young man refused to go and try to remain in Europe but Chelsea couldn’t meet up with his demand. Instead of y’all to be impress with his determination to remain in Europe rather than wasting his talent in KSA, y’all lots are castigating him for not accepting peanut from Chelsea. Osimhen is a fighter and he will surely come out of this situation successfully. It is better to be inactive than to waste his talent in a shitty Saudi league. 9 Likes 1 Share |

ChrisKels:We have this fake notion that the Nigerian spirit is one that beats all odds so much so that we believe that we can still qualify regardless of our dire qualification stance. The Nigerian spirit is rather one where with all the rich resources and opportunities, still produces negative results. |

ADL will want to sell Osi ASAP. He’s one of their highest earners at the club and it makes no sense to pay him to sit on the sidelines. If a decent offer comes in January, they’ll sell. For Osimhen, he should just focus on training and his NT duty. Players have had 8-9 months on the sidelines and come back well. Toney was training in the US during his betting ban. Your footballing instinct doesn’t just leave you overnight. The main thing is to keep physically fit. You still see guys like Zizou and Romario with the touch and skills even until today at some of their charity matches. It’s just they don’t have the legs to keep up the physicality 5 Likes 2 Shares |
