So cuz he missed one on one he should be cut off...
Aren't you saying Boniface should be cut off because he didn't impress you in two matches he started 😒

This is your comment I replied to
Saying Boniface is playing nonsense after two matches he started is absurd
When we also saw the Dessers you are calling on against Mali and he didn't impress
Oh using word "nonsense"is your issue, yes I repeat it he is playing trash for eagles based on his performance for Leverkusen and if he comes good in eagles color I will be damn happy for him

Then I can also judge Dessers base on the Mali match
And say he's not the guy we should be calling on

In all fairness Boniface has been given ample playing time facing the likes of Lesotho, Sao Tome, Rwanda, Zimbabwe and he's still yet to find the back of the net so Egbon Kog45 is within his rights to criticize him.

Dessers for all his limitations hasn't enjoying an extended run in the SE yet has goals to his name against solid opposition like Mexico and Ghana. Yes he missed a chance against Mali which forward doesn't? At least he was even in a position to score something I've not seen enough of from Boniface. Yes Victor is obviously more talented but if you can't bring it when it matters most what's the point?

Yes if he fails to impress in subsequent call up.He can't be getting call ups and not performing and someone would be telling me he has the immunity

Yes there is open camping based on recommendations.I remember we had this discussion on open camping with different views.
.

If player don't get connect for open screening forget it bro......you don't just carry your bags and said oh am going to Under 17 camp for screening.

Manu Garba and Emma Amunike open screening was based on recommendations so there is different between open screening and recommendations for open screening, players like Victor Osimhen, Kelechi Nwakali, Iheanacho,Success,Awoniyi and others all made it to eagles camp on recommendations for open camping,in fact Awoniyi made it based on Olofinjana recommendations after UK under 15 coca cola summer camp in London.

1980s-90s youth teams successes are on well rooted grassroots systems, picking players from principal cup,Manuwa Adebanjo cup,National sports festival and states YSFON teams.

Nigeria now have pools of football academies as an advantages now, from Lagos,Anambra,Imo,Jos,Kaduna,Oyo and other states there are enough talents in those academy schools to pick from to form open camping and mind you there is no real street footballing again cuz they are all attached to one academy or the other.

The major issue with our youth teams is more than open screening but poor developmental programs from NFF and the same system is affecting the senior team but our Europe based players always giving us the confidence that no matter what we will manoeuver our way but when reality set in like WC qualifying standing now we are realizing that wahala dey .

Absolutely not true. I know a player at Mgbouba that got into the U17 camp without recommendation or money. He got far before he was dropped.

Also, Amunike and Manu Garba screened thousands in each zone. Are you saying the thousands came with recommendations?

I did not say open screening is the only solution. I said, no one should worry themselves if we do not do it the Maigari way of holding open screening and the coaches rolling their sleeves picking the best.

I have told you before, the recommendations is for looking.

We were following some of the screening processes, the locations were publicly announced, and times for open screening.

Yes there are other ways, but under Maigari's NFF, we had what worked. We won the U17 back to back and provided stars that were eye appealing.

Yes, we have academies over the place but, we are yet to get that raw flame we had under Maigari.

No one says the academies are not doing fine but, go back to what worked. Hold open screenings. Let the boys from the streets, and the boys from the academies, and school boys all battle. Screen and select the best.

Finito.

Ola Aina has won possession more times in the defensive third this season than any other player in Europe’s top five leagues this season (87).

Destroyer and Possession winner/initiator💪

More than 4000 talented players from all over the country thronged the pitch of the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja, Nigeria’s political capital, looking for a chance to make it into the team.

Amuneke found a way to see many of them play. He would group the boys into teams with a 30-minute time limit.

https://soccernet.ng/2023/02/the-15-minutes-that-handed-victor-osimhen-a-life-changing-opportunity.html

Are you saying the over 4000 players were recommended?

I repeat, if we don't go back to open screening for U17, and even improve on it and make it even more thorough, with more time and even more zones. Until then, people should not worry themselves with our U17 programs.

Finito.

Some people are seriously calling for Boniface to be dropped after just a few matches? Dude has not even had a poor match, but has just been unlucky with goals, yet all these noise? Make una dey calm down.

By the way, I would love to see what Arokodare could bring, because he seems aggressive.
