AndSunGorilla: I wonder why he didn’t start from the bench like his colleagues in Fulham, the coach should have done better. These boys have been playing too many games in days! 2 Likes |

9JAMac10:You and Yinkeys should not misunderstand me so it won't seem as if I tried to diminish the efforts of Mba and Emenike. Emenike,Mba, Onazi,Efe and Ideye were all instrumental for us winning the 2013 AFCONs. But if I want to single out the 3 most important players that gave our team the edge, that we wouldn't have done without, there were Mikel,Enyeama and Moses. By the way, the Atlanta '96 and USA '94 teams were full of excellent players but I only tried to pick just 3 or 4. |

AndSunGorilla:Nottingham 1-Man utd 0...watched the match cuz of Awo and something got cleared to me,scoring or not, only Awoniyi can deputize Osimhen, his pressing damn good and always keep defenders on their toes, reason why we need him to close the game anytime Osimhen is tired. Hope to see Aina back soon 1 Like |

Mujtahida:Do you want to hear Koko our LBs were very average and to be candid talking modern tactics they are not better than Aina as LB.....the only mistake he made was not substituted tired Osayi for Bruno which would have made Aina to switch but guess what Aina gave us the beautiful assist, meaning he got it right. Drew that match was just the only minus 2 Likes |

Kog45: Nah I won't agree with you on this The few minutes Burno played against Rwanda he was better than Aina at LB Aina made some defensive errors against Rwanda But played well against Zimbabwe I feel Burno would have given us much more at LB And Aina would also have given us much more at RB 2 Likes |

Samueltemi337:Well I maybe wrong but I will not pick Bruno,Sanusi and Collins over Aina as LB if I have solid RB...I don't see what Sanusi,Collins and Bruno brought to the table that made them special, fact they are the lowest LBs talking about LBs in eagles history. As I said that drew against Zimbabwe messed things up |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by elyte89: 11:06am On Apr 02 |
Kog45: Come to think of it.. even with d deduction of 3points ,even if we had won d game against Zimbabwe 🇿🇼,we would still need to win all d remaining games ,to qualify straight as d group winner,at d end of d day,d result against Zimbabwe doesn’t really have much effect 1 Like |

semid4lyfe:I watched the past and presently am not satisfied with what we have as LBs,is there anything wrong with it. If a coach has natural LB but played right footed player twice in the same position, meaning what?can Aina as LB bench Iroha,Babayaro,Taiwo,Echiejele and even Udeze? I should not be fondness of the past that gave us 3 Afcons and 6 WC appearances. Pls who told I don't appreciate the present....okay rate our LBs in eagles past and presently. |

elyte89: Not only about winning the group. If we had won against Zimbabwe, we would have moved to second place in the group table, putting us in contention for the best four runners-up. 1 Like |

elyte89:look at this situation. If we had won against Zimbabwe, we would have been on 9 points. 4 more matches will bring the total to 21 points taking us straight above south Africa who will have 19 points. Right now we are on 7 points add 12 points we would have 19 points. South Africa winning 3 of their 4 games with the deduction of points will put them also at 19 points. Would you prefer a scenario where you qualify based on points or the one where you qualify based on goals. We don't even know if south Africa won't turn to barca and start scoring 4+ goals in their remaining matches. If we had won the last match, even just a draw against south Africa would have been enough. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Kog45: Presently ….i fear our fixture against Rwanda 🇷🇼 and Benin 🇧🇯 at home Dan our away fixtures (SA AND LESOTHO 🇱🇸) …I even feel SA would be our easiest fixture out of d four |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Napoleon55(m): 3:00pm On Apr 02 |
Kog45:The only reason people are complaining is because we lost,if not they would have overlooked it. As for me,I don't trust Bruno as our left back,I don't know what some fans saw in his performances why they keep hailing him. I don't mind the coach playing Aina there over Bruno while he sort out his left back problem though Aina at right back would be more utilized . My problem with the coach is playing only Ndidi and Iwobi in our midfield, two players that are no longer what they use to be ,and again playing all our wingers all at once. He should find a way to accommodate other midfielders and balance the team,he should not let our history with 442 blinds him,Ndidi is no Oliseh, nor Iwobi Okocha. 1 Like |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Napoleon55(m): 3:13pm On Apr 02 |
Kog45:Taiwo,Echiejene to an extent were the last super eagles left back we had. Having two reliable wing backs are always crucial to any successful team, the coach should keep scouting for a better left back |

AndSunGorilla:Bassey & Ekong make a lot of mistakes though Either Eric Chelle changes the both of them by trying out new personnels like Igoh Ogbu, Ifeanyi, Ndah etc since he likes 4-4-2 or we switch to 3-4-3. The formation that hides our defensive lapses I’m okay with the wingbacks though Aina, Osayi, Zaidu, Bruno |
