komekn:hmm.....had it been he is British ..and he choosed to play football...with all things being equal....with his present football skills and talent...he will probably make the cut in Liverpool and not be fummed out on loan even many a time some of this English clubs find it difficult going after Africa players and capping those they're already signed like Henry onyekuru because of the work permit rule....not necessarily that they're not good enough.... it is a bit more easier for English citizens to thrive and be given opportunities than non British especially Africans.... also the world class facilities at the academics and teams can hardly be seen elsewhere in Africa.... this sometimes work against this lads when they leave for Europe I remember enyeama during his trials at Bolton wanderers of England... I just comment your point up there....really reasonable. but I think sir goodjoe write earlier from my angle... |

Humility017: You seem to have completely lost the context. Which is the Quality of Efe Ambrose as a CB. Efe Ambrose was pivotal in pushing Hibernian into the Scottish premiership. Hibernian then held Celtic to a draw with his performances central to that result. Efe was dropped from Celtic as he and Rogers do not see eye to eye. His moves to the EPL broke down on work permit issues I suspect he is waiting to complete immigration requirements in order to bypass the work permit issues. The more pertinent question is that is a bench warmer in much better team and higher league who has barely had 10 professional games. Better than a 28 year old proven tested and experienced defender who has played many seasons in the Champions league with credibility. 3 Likes |

komekn:you people should leave Ambrose to continue his work in his club abeg, he has tried for the National Team and vice versa. Awaziem is the second choice CB, we don't need an old guy to back up another aging player. Hian! Before we know it, someone will mention Taribo West for a recall 12 Likes |

Mickael2:All this "Ekong-Awaziem does not work" if I may ask, how many times have they been paired? I think it was only against SA which I understand wasn't cool. So what's the crime of trying that combo again? I think that's the purpose of friendlies. its just like saying what did not work for you can never be tested again.... Bottom line: let's try again and see, but based on outcome from camping. my humble opinion though 5 Likes |

We have coaches here ooo who are better than Rohr oo- coaches who are daring, play beautiful, crisp, all out attacking football a la Barcelona style here on this thread. Pinnick just didn't do the necessary background check, he'd have employed from here. We have Gaurdiola, Sampaoli and the venerable Alex Ferguson here. 5 Likes |

tbaba1234:Do not mind some baseless accusations by some Nigerians on the e-forum. Though its a serious crime that calls for a lot of concern hence, it is not helping to better our already battered image. Maybe elyte89 thinks the picture above depicts the true personality of a 23yr old boy in 2010. Scratches head. 1 Like |

Some people already drafting list on behalf of Rohr.....the way Nigerians are you get the feeling they are used to being abandoned when they have rough times, so, they don't hesitate to abandon others as well. Make una go drag una brothers go Russia, coach without certificate |

Reading through I noticed that there are two camps as regards the old players /new players debate. komekn, mickael2 are in the forefront calling for players like Obafemi Martins, Ike Uche, Efe to be recalled, Humility017 firmly leads the camp for the newbies to drive us into the future. Personally I wish Martins and co happy retirement. The only old player I'd love to see recalled is Enyeama and among the new players I'd definitely love to see Onyekuru, Dessers, Bazee, Tammy and either Uduokhai or Torunarigha in the mix. Once we have Enyeama, Mikel, Echiejile, Onazi and Ighalo that would complete the 'experienced players' plank at strategic points in the team. Martins and the rest have become fans like the rest of us and they should be wishing the team success just as I saw Efe doing before our Match against Zambia. Soja come, Soja go, barrack still dey 5 Likes 1 Share |

komekn: If the player is born in England or make it to the system early, the system is tilted to favor the child. All you are typing there does not disprove my position. Saying Awo would have done this or that is just dribbling. He is a good footballer but denied a chance to develop at Liverpool due to his Nationality. You can not change that fact. Same with K. Nwakali and Chidiebere Nwakali. So it is not true saying Nationality does not matter. It does. |

daveP:our best performers are usually bench warmers, so, no problem....after all, Leon was warming bench in Mainz prior to the Cameroon game and look how great that turned out. As e go play how many games at his return, next thing na injury Make dem dey warm bench o, in case the active guys decide to pick up injury before the World Cup proper, we go see who we go carry go Russia at least |
