Here's another who's seeing it all....

Fact is I am certain Pep trusts and believes more in Nacho as regards his playing philosophy more than he does with Aguero.

Nacho is far better fit for this Man City side under Pep than Aguero.

It's funny because Aguero is so highly rated.... Pep has a decision to make going forward:

Start giving Nacho a run of games and order your players to always seek out Nacho (like he did with Messi at Barca) OR

Keep playing an Aguero who doesn't fit in and not complain about the results that come in be they good or bad.

joseph1013:
He thrives like that because the whole team plays for him, which is one of the problems Pep has with him. When he's on the pitch, Silva, Bruyne, Sterling and the rest look to give him the ball. Contrast that with when Kelechi gets on the pitch, it is then that everyone of them starts playing like a striker. Aguero doesn't look for anybody. He gets the ball and always looks to score forgetting the players in better positions. Look at how that cost City the match today. Perhaps Pep will wise up.

City had its best games this season when Aguero was out. Kelechi, Sterling and Bruyne combination was explosive.

Aguero is World Class. I doubt that is even a debate. He looks troubled but we can not criticise his play in the recent past years. This is not Ronaldinho who had two to three years at the top. Aguero is over five years at City. He won the WYC golden boot and ball in 2007. This is almost nine years after.

There is a challenge but his work rate and dynamism over the years is not a debate. He is world class.

Ronaldinho went to the 2002 world cup and he wasn't bad either, He played for PSG for several seasons and he was great for them, so he didn't just have four good seasons, you can argue that Aguero WAS world class and you might have a good debate there, but since last season he has been very very close to average for me. Scholes said he is.great? he is an Englishman and they hype their players a lot, not surprised one but

It is better we cap Tyronne and Ehizibue now before Holland does it.

They are aware that we want them.

I don't think we should use Moses as a right back because he is better for us at the RW and I don't think he can play it.

Exactly. There is an obvious case of 'pass the ball to Aguero' when he's on the pitch. He's used to being the sole goal scorer, but that ideology defeats the essence of football as a team game. This isn't tennis where you ride solo.

Notice City played their best when he was out, everyone got on the score sheet and they were executing Barcelona-styled tiki-taka.

There was a time even Barca was all about Messi, but since Suarez and Neymar came, he has learnt to pass the ball and racked up more assists than goals last season even. Aguero needs to learn too, no wonder Pep told him yo watch Suarez.

He cost City today in both halves. First, with the John Stones goal and then when he should have passed to Kelechi or Sterling

you are there. he was the person that cost them that first goal. you know your position isn't okay, you also know that the ball is beyond you that even if you manage to get to it you will head it over and you heard your teammates shouting to you and yet you jumped, selfish selfish play. then the second chance, that was a cutback, there are just a few players who know how to finish from a tight angle and Aguero isn't one of them, you have a Ayer in the middle who has smartly pulled back from the defender who is lost as to what he should do, if he should cover the empty net or mark his man, why not pull the ball back for the free man to tap in? you are not Messi, even Messi would have passed that ball to him, that isn't rocket science and that's what Pep's football is all about, creating tap ins for the freest player, simple and short

If the debate is the style of play not fitting our philosophy, I can understand. Calling Aguero average or not top class is not true. He is far from average and he is World Class. I doubt there is a top coach in the world who will say Aguero is not World Class.

3-4-3 caused City problems today. We had balance with four at the back. It is a system that takes time for the players to adjust and with smart tactical approach, it can suffer.

city does not have the parts to use that system. For one no wing backs. Pep only used 3 defenders that is not how the 3-4-3 works.

Legendary English Striker Lineker Explains
Secret Behind Iheanacho Goal Scoring Act
After Goal Against Southampton

Legendary English forward Gary Lineker has
explained the secret behind Kelechi Iheanacho
goal scoring act, following his latest goal in
Manchester City 1-1 draw against Southampton.

Iheanacho came off the bench for Manchester
City and finished off a brilliant team move in the
55th minute to draw City level, after Nathan
Redmond had given Southampton the lead.

A beautiful floated pass from Fernandinho was
well met and held by Leroy Sane who in turn lay
the ball across goal for the rushing Iheanacho,
who slid home ahead of a tackle from Virgil Van
Dijk.

Lineker responded to the Nigerian third goal in
the English Premier League this season with a
post on social media, explaining the myth behind the 20 year old lethal nature in front of goal.

“How to score goals: attack space and when the ball goes in the area you gamble on you’ll have an easy chance. Perfect example from Iheanacho”

He posted on twitter.

Red Hot Gbolahan Salami Extends Goal
Scoring Record For Finnish Side With 14th
League Goal Of The Season Against PS Kemi

Gbolahan Salami fine run of form in front of goal
continued for Finnish side KuPS with the 25 year
old scoring the lone goal in their 1-0 win over PS
Kemi.

Salami struck in the 13th minute. His 14th goal of the season in Finland, and it ended as the match winner for his side, who are now up to 7th on the Veikkausliiga.

Already he has surpassed the club goal scoring
record of 12 league goals set in 2001 with his
goal in Monday’s game against HIFK. A feat which earned him a giant trophy from the club.

The striker who has scored in his last three games in a row, is now only three goals away from top scorer Roope Riski who has 17 goals for SJK.

Despite his fine form, he is still not under
consideration for a recall to the Nigeria senior
national team, ahead of their game against
Algeria as manager Gernot Rohr prefers Brown
Ideye and Odion Ighalo ahead of the former
Nigeria League top scorer.

It is not only today. Van Gaal, Mancini, Gasperini are coaches who tried to work with the three at the back set-up and encountered challenges.

Super Eagles Striker Gbolahan Salami Ends
Season On High Note With 15th Goal

Gbolahan Salami ended the
2016 Veikkausliiga season on
a high with another goal for
KuPS in their hard fought 1-0
win over PS Kemi at the
Kuopio Football Stadium on
Sunday afternoon.

The former Warri Wolves
frontman scored the
important goal after 13
minutes to take his tally to 15
goals across all competitions.

Three Nigeria internationals in the shape of
Salami, Azubuike Egwuekwe and Paul Onobi
completed the full shift against the team from
Kemi.

The three players signed one year deals with
KuPS before the start of the season and it remains
to be seen if they will extend their stay in Finland,
with the club failing to qualify for the Europa
League.

KuPS occupied the seventh position on the table
after the last round of matches with 49 points
accumulated from 33 games.

We both know city didn't use the same system.
Sterling and Sane are not wing backs and they were not expected to perform that role. Pep normally goes with 4 at the back but it changes into 2 or 3 becos the fullbacks perform the duties of a midfielder, this is how he played in the derby. He went with 3 out of need not want, he didn't organize his team the way Conte or Mazzarri did theirs. Victor Moses is playing like a world class wing back we should not waste that becos it would give us a chance to put more impact players on the pitch.

What of Van Gaal, Gasperini who started using the system before Conte. What of the Mancini at Manchester City.

The three at the back was popular in the 90's. Later people abandoned it. It is too risky for us to create that confusion with our defenders. It takes a lot of work to pull it off. The coaches of the National team do not have that long with the players

That Reece Oxford lad is a true pearl... Can play CMF, DMF or central defence. A super talent.

Adelaide of Arsenal... Arsenal fans on this thread know this lad so well.... smiley I like the lad. He's really talented.

Osimhen on the list is a no-brainer... And at no.3... That's an indication of how highly rated he is in the eyes of global pundits. Lad's another super beast in front of goal. Can't wait for his Wolfsburg senior debut in January/february next year.

Locatelli of AC Milan... Scored a beauty of a winner against Juventus yesterday. Lad's really gifted.

Christian Pulisic of USA and Dortmund... Lad's a wonderful attacking midfield talent who's so versatile upfront. Played in Chile 2015 against Osimhen and K.Nwakali.

The other names are also known by me... Just wanted to comment on some. smiley

Rohr Set To Release Eagles List, To Drop
Five Players From Last Squad

Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr is expected to
submit a list of 25 players to face Algeria in Uyo
on 12 November in a Russia 2018 World Cup
qualifier, Complete Sports has gathered.

Competent sources at the Nigeria Football
Federation secretariat revealed that the Rohr
delayed the submission of the list because he was checking out some Nigerian players in Europe and meeting with their club managers to get assurance on the availability of the players for the duel against Algeria.

“Rohr has demanded for 25 players for the game against Algeria and we have obliged him his request and hopefully he will submit his list to the federation to invite them latest by Wednesday this week,” the highly-placed NFF source told Complete Sports.

“We will not interfere with his selection for the match because we know he wants result.

“I think he intends to invite only two home-based players this time around because the Nigerian league is on break and these players will not be at their best for the game. Rohr also wants to bring back the core of players that beat Zambia while those who did not measure up to his expectations will be dropped for new ones.”

The source also divulged that the coach wants
the likes of Odion Ighalo, Leon Balogun, Victor
Moses and Isaac Success back in the team and is also going to drop those who see the invite as a vacation from their respective clubs.

Asked what the invites will look like our source
said the 11 players that started in Zambia and
the substitutes who played in Ndola are in the list but added that “at least five of the 23 will not be in Uyo”.

Scan Results To Determine Availability Of
Watford Striker Success For Algeria Match

Watford striker Isaac Success is doubtful for
November’s World Cup qualifier against Algeria
in Uyo, allnigeriasoccer.com can reveal.

The Hornets number ten did not train all through last week after picking up an injury in his team’s 1-0 win at Middlesbrough on October 16, in which he was named Man of the Match.

This website can specially reveal that Success
started feeling pains when a Boro player used his leg to hit him on the lap and had to play through the pain barrier until he subbed out in the 89th minute.

Because of a blood clot, the former Granada
striker has undergone a scan to determine the
extent of his injury and an estimate of how long
he will spend on the sidelines.

The 20-year-old was called up to the Super Eagles for the World Cup tie with Zambia, only to be ruled out with an injury.

The Nigeria international has promised not to take his feet off the pedal after netting his first English topflight strike for the FoxesAhmed Musa has promised to keep working hard after scoring his first goal in the English Premier League on Saturday.

Musa’s 20-yard effort in the 42nd minute set Claudio Ranieri’s side for an emphatic 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace at the King Power Stadium and the 24-year-old noted the impact the goal had on the game.

“For me, it’s a very good beginning scoring a goal like that,” Musa told LCFCTV.

"I will keep on working very hard with my teammates and the coach and we will see what is going to happen.

“Yes, I think the goal was very important because we were still on level terms and that goal gave us the lead before half-time. The goal gave us confidence.”

Goals from Shinji Okazaki and left back Christian Fuchs made Yohan Cabaye’s late effort a mere consolation and the former CSKA Moscow applauded the strikes.

"It was a very fantastic goal from him (Okazaki) and scoring the second goal made the team more confident.

“It was very good; good shot, good goal. I think it was a very fantastic goal from him,” he admired Fuch’s strike.

The victory over Alan Pardew’s men saw the defending league champion climb to the 12th position with 11 points from nine games.

He further drew the wrath of the coaches when he was almost mobbed after he gave away cash to fellow worshippers after Friday Muslim prayers, all these before a crucial World Cup qualifier in Zambia.

The 24-year-old forward, who finally opened his Premier League goals account on Saturday, sensationally lost his first-team place to Gent star Moses Simon in Ndola with the official explanation being that it was because he has struggled to play regularly for Premier League champions Leicester.

However, it has now been scooped he was really in hot water because he did not seem to be focused for the all-important match in Zambia.

A top official opened up: “The Eagles coaches led by Gernot Rohr were very unhappy with Ahmed Musa before the match in Zambia because they felt he was not concentrated for the game by what he was doing off the pitch.

“He drove into camp with a 30 million Naira car he had just bought.

“And for Friday mosque, he almost got himself badly hurt when he was giving out cash to other worshippers around the mosque close to ICPC office in Abuja.

“Bystanders said he had to run into his car for his life when the crowd became very uncontrollable.

“It was very comical because he had to tear away from the crowd, like a common thief running away from an angry mob braying for blood.”
