Iheanacho's role as an AM/SS is more important to me than as a CF. Attacking Midfielders and Supporting strikers do more damage these days than the CFs.

You think so? As Suarez. Then say, "One of the deadliest strikers in Europe. That is damage.

That was like two years back men.
When last did u see Aluko play?

Let the camp judge. He plays as a forward now, does not mean his skills died. He played on the wings in some games at Rangers, that did not stop Aluko for putting a good shift in the ten role.

Mikel played for ages in a defensive role. When Keshi put him as a creative playmaker, he did not fail.

Similar manner in which Agbonlahor was highly rated.

Anyway, the waiting game begins.... smiley

**checks timeline** It has already began sef...

tbaba1234:

He is very highly rated in England right now and they will leave no stone unturned to get him if he keeps improving. It will take a lot for him to play for us.

The line-up was 3-4-3 as shown seconds to game's kick off on match day live.

I noticed that mix up. When the game started, Fernando was certainly in the right back role all through the game. Not midfield. It was a 4-2-3-1. There was same mix-up on Flashscore. It happened because of Fernando never played the right back role for City.

Are the likes of Messi, Ronaldo, Coutinho, Hazard, Ozil, Walcott CFs?

Tick off Coutinho, Hazard, Ozil, Walcott. These are not goal superstars. Iheanacho is a goal superstar and just like Suarez we need him scoring braces and hat-tricks. He can not achieve that in the attack midfield role.

Anyway shaa.... As game went on, I also noticed Fernando playing deep from the right too.

But my mind was also on the man utd game and others at the time.

4-2-3-1 suits Man City... And Funnily Rohr plays such system with the Super Eagles.

Pep berra utilise Nacho to the fullest as he got a real goals monster in that kid. People think they've seen it all with Messi and C.Ronaldo... Well, here comes Iheanacho... And I'm not kidding.

If Iheanacho is taken away from the number 10 role then we have options like Iwobi and Etebor. Simple. We are building a team that can stay on top for long. So unfortunate that Aluko was dropped when he was at his prime. Just like Oshaniwa. But we have to move on. I cant vouche for Aluko's current form.
Let us see him play football first before we invite him to camp. The 24/25 slots on Rohr's list are so precious that we cannot afford to waste one jst to see how the player performs in camp.

Pep Guardiola's switch to a back four rewarded as Manchester City's footballing globetrotters overwhelm West Brom.

The three at the back, used last time out in the Premier League in a 1-1 home draw with Southampton, was gone - replaced by a traditional back four with an unfamiliar right back.

Fernando may not be most people’s idea of a full back, but this is Guardiola, and thinking out of the box is a way of life.

Those are the AMs that do the damage in their respective clubs. That is my point.

What else do you want to see from Aluko? He is one of the best players in the Championship. He made the Championship Team of the week earlier this season.

Echiejile is 28 and he is on the squadlist. Same goes for John Ogu. So how can we use age to restrict a 27 years Aluko.

He has done ebough to merit a call.

I agree. We looked tidy. Few missed passes and the defence played with balance. Let us see if Pep maintains the four at the back against Barcelona.

As for Nacho, I had no doubt he would excel up front in the formation but it seems he might play a part against Barcelona. Pep wants to use his off the ball speed in that game. Although Nacho might not start but he has a role to play. A big one.

I still believe the ALIEN is in safe hands.

U first look at the position u are recommending a player for. Are there other players hu are more suitable? Iwobi and Etebor are better options for the number 10 position.

Ogu u know is nt likely to start against Algeria. He may not even make the match day squad.

Echiejile u know is ahead of other LBs.

We can not write off Aluko without trying. He is playing well and regularly now. There is no guarantee that these guys are ahead. Just like Esiti (who I feel sad for), invite and see. I doubt any are close to Aluko on skill level. He is sharp and creative.

Nacho's best game in his professional career is his four goals against Villa. That was as a top striker. Had the City players chanting his name and dancing Alanta.

Copy when Echiejile plays without leaving gaps at the back.

I am disappointed in his play, it does not mean I do not want him to have good games and become our left back solution. I really do want him playing better. That is why I watch Echiejile closely.

Ask Nacho.

I dare to challenge u that Alex Iwobi is better than Omatsonne Aluko.

Invite them to camp, let the Okocha wannabe (Aluko) teach the Kanu wannabe (Iwobi) some footballing skills. Lolllll.

The fealing u have for Echiejile is similar to the feeling Michael2 has for Onazi. U dnt jst see anything good in them.

Hate them or love them, Rohr sees them as our bests in their respective positions and that is what matters most.

I see good in Echiejile but he lacks in some areas he should have polished by now. Especially his crossing. He is easily skinned. These are things I expected him to correct by now.

However, he is well conditioned. Looks a guy who works very hard in his fitness. Has good stamina. Which shows he trains hard. He can run the wing but his judgment let's him down.

I see his good. He packs a powershot in his left foot. His decision-making lets him down and I feel we can find better options than him. That does not mean I do not see any good in him.

Aluko is far from mediocre. A mediocre player can not make the Championship Team of the week. Excerpt from a report of his last game.

the star performer was Sone Aluko, who created three of the goals with his pace and skill.
