Done Deal: Aberdeen Confirm Signing Of Chidiebere Nwakali On Loan From Man City Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen have confirmed the signing of former Nigeria U20 international Chidiebere Nwakali on loan from Manchester City. The deal will see the versatile midfielder remain on loan at Aberdeen until the end of the 2017-18 season. Dons boss Derek McInnes told the British press: ''He is a player we have been looking at for quite a while and we are delighted to have him on board. ''I am sure he will prove to be a valuable addition.'' Chidiebere Nwakali has linked up with his new teammates at their warm winter training camp in Dubai. The 21-year-old previously had loan spells at Girona, Malaga, IK Start and Sogndal Fotball due to difficulties in obtaining a work permit in England. In November 2017, he earned his first call-up to Nigeria's senior team but was not utilized in the matches against Algeria and Argentina. **Igho Kingsley Source: http://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=26120 1 Like |

Tyronne Ebuehi is a Norwich City target – but no pre-contract agreement has yet been signed By Michael Bailey Norwich City have targeted young full-back Tyronne Ebuehi from Dutch club ADO Den Haag – but reports the Nigerian international has already signed a pre-contract agreement are understood to be incorrect. Norwich are close to signing Nigeria international right-back Tyronne Ebuehi from Den Haag. He was at Carrow Road for the Chelsea game. #ncfc11:50 AM - Jan 7, 2018 12 56 100 Nick Mashiter@nickmashiter Ebuehi’s representatives were at Carrow Road for Saturday’s goalless FA Cup draw with Chelsea, while the player was with his current club’s winter break tour party in the Turkish town of Belek. Ebuehi is actually believed to have taken in the Canaries’ win over Millwall a few days earlier. However, reports in Dutch magazine Voetbal International via Nigerian sources that the 22-year-old right-back has already signed a pre-contract agreement with Norwich – given he is a free agent come the summer – are not true. In fact, Fifa rules only allow pre-contract agreements to be signed by players aged 23 and over – meaning it wouldn’t be an enforceable piece of paper anyway. Ebuehi made his debut of Nigeria last year but his future beyond the summer and the Eredivisie remains uncertain, with Portuguese giants Benfica also reportedly interested in recruiting the defender. Norwich’s own interest also most likely revolves around recruiting Ebuehi come the summer, although something could happen sooner if the respective parties agree and City move on some of their squad in the current transfer window. Ebuehi is said to be able to operate on either flank having made 17 top-flight appearances so this season for Den Haag, who currently sit seventh in the Eredivisie during the Dutch midwinter break. Den Haag drew their opening game of 2018 on Tuesday afternoon, with a 2-2 friendly against a Besiktas XI in which Ebuehi played the full 90 minutes. Dannyxy: you know I can't just tell you you have HIV without beating about the bush na, it's my profession. See my point anyways, against African teams I would go with Ighalo but that chance he missed against Zambia what is the guarantee that we will get two of those chances against Iceland? So against European opposition I would choose Nacho in a heartbeat but there is also no guarantee that he can score that goal Ighalo scored against Cameroon against Iceland. TheSuperNerd said we have no other choice, although I don't want to start another Martins debate but hey he is there, I also added Ik Uche and you guessed it, Osaze in that list. Whatever happened to Stephen Odey? Or maybe we can find a potent winger who can also play as a striker and play a fluid front 3 or front whatever depending on the formation |

BascoVanVeli: Why should I have bashed you because of Rivers United or Rangers? Are one of their board members? You are not even a fan of those clubs. That is the problem. U are taking it personal. And for the records, the Odey debate started before the exit of those clubs from CAF competition. Which gave credence to our low rating of the local boys like Odey and co. Remember? |

The quality of football in the NPFL is way too low compare with what is obtainable from other africa leagues.NPFL and beautiful football are like parallel lines that can never meet. Since our CHAN team is made up of players coming from NPFL, I'm not expecting any magic. It takes patience and humility to watch the NPFL-Icon4s, 2018. Walahi e no lie. |

Humility017: English football is essentially Kick and Rush according to you. So Tottenham, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City …United. All Kick and rush Bottom section of EPL, Swansea, Crystal Palace, Watford are all playing Kick and Rush Championship Wolves, Derby County, Aston villa, Fulham, Burton Albion, Hull are all playing Kick and Rush. English football has evolved and has fused the technical astuteness that was found only in La Liga Seria A into the fabric of thier game. But without loosing the physicality, speed and intensity that reflects the traditions of the English game. Benfica is still a big club as well in a much higher standard league and unless you are the outstanding RB in the Eredivisie you will have to fight for your position in the Benfica team. Or they may use you to further the business model, cover you with the Benfica brand after giving you a few games. Then sell you on or do a loan move. Ebuehi is not 18 the time to prove yourself has arrived develop yes but as continuous improvement. Coming to the Championship is not a step below Benfica. Because if he is outstanding then he will be on the, to buy list of most EPL clubs. |

Elder Kog45... I am tempted to place a bet with you but lemme calm down first. And you are right, the highest a Nigerian player has ever scored in a world cup tournament is two. In fact, by all time scorers na Musa, Amokachi, and even Kalu Uche dey lead sef... lol Yekini is on one. KANU has no WC goal. Emenike? Nope. no goal. Osaze has scored too. But this current team? hmmm... our goal threat is not vested on just one individual. We score in a lot of ways and it would be interesting because the way this Super Eagles team function with the fast counter attacks and eye-catching fast passing style, we actually can blow away even top heavy teams like Croatia or England or even Argentina. But time will tell. I can tell you this. The Super Eagles will score goals... and I mean Goals... but if that will throw up a player with three or more is what I am not yet sure about. So make I calm down first.... lol... Let me set my cards right before I throw it in. Bottomline, Nigeria is taking a super goals-scoring system to the World cup and most teams, even Argentina, will not find it funny against us. This team can blow teams away on their day. Kog45: |

AIG07:Then we should scrap the league cos if everyone is losing faith in NPFL then I fear for Nigeria football, whether we like it or not the league is the root of our national teams. On CHAN,pls what are you expecting from those boys,is it to win or have a good performance that two or three players can be discovered for the main team not necessarily this WC but for the future. Hope you remember the same league produced Abdullahi Muzzam(Austria Vien)Stephen Odey(FC Zurich) now i heard of China Akas and Afeez Aremu. 1 Like |

Rankings of the most followed African Football Stars globally using Twitter, Facebook and Instagram Unsurprisingly, Salahmania rules! Victor Moses is the most followed Nigerian Star with 2.6 million followers across twitter, Instagram and Facebook. ranked no.17 in Africa on the popularity list across social media. Alex Iwobi, under a lot of scrutiny from the media of late, boasts 1.3 million. He is ranked no.34 on the popularity list. Kelechi Iheanacho is the next big star from Nigeria with 580, 675 followers. He's ranked no. 51 on the popularity list. And one more thing, It is clearer even to me that the north Africans live more on social media than their west African brothers Those guys can be united on Social media ehn!!! To even vote Ounnejem ahead of Victor Moses in the CAF best XI. Chaaiiiii... North Africa I hail una!!! Courtesy of Goal.com Results compiled by Result Sports account on Twitter.

Icon4s: U are trying to dwell on one word so as to forget the situation at hand. Bashing in this instance means giving me flap. When both teams exited the CAF champions league and were to play in the confed cup I got so much crap just for announcing their next games and it was u for the most part. By the time these team were getting kicked out of the champions league u were implying to me that Amunike should have dropped Osimhen for Odey. We had not gotten to u guys bashing Odey yet. |

TheSuperNerd:No need to take a bet cos you just help me analyse the point. During your sabbatical have made this point cos a lot beleve that Ighalo and Iheanach are not good enough but forgetting that most of our goals came from all our frontmen. Honestly with your assertion my question is why are we still looking for potent striker than Ighalo or Iheanacho cos i don't see any better ones. I watched Nwakaeme critically but is not the answer and i won't take a bate on Onuachu cos have seen strikers scoring more than 30 goals in Scandinavia leagues but they are flops in better leagues. I agreed with you wholeheartedly. |
