Kayode did not pull out of the club. Girona terminated the deal.

Kayode forced his way out of Girona by refusing to return to the club.

According to a report on Spanish daily, L’Esportiu, the former Austria Wein striker has his head turned on after receiving offers from several teams during the January transfer window and he is also concerned about his chances of making Nigeria’s Russia 2018 World Cup Squad.

But Girona are not willing to allow the striker leave until the end of the season despite, the Nigerian failing to score a goal in 12 LaLiga Santander games because they believe he is still capable of regaining his scoring form for Pablo Machin’s team

Another Ela!

Former England youth international Jordon Ibe has turned down a fresh approach by Nigeria to represent them at the World Cup 2018 in Russia.

Ibe has been in fine form for English Premier League side Bournemouth, and according to the online version of English based news outfit Sun, he has turned down an approach to team up with Nigeria for the World Cup in Russia.

Eligible to represent Nigeria through his father, Ibe who has six assists in all competitions this season grabbed the headlines on Sunday, when he netted the winner for Bournemouth in their shock comeback 2-1 win over Arsenal.

22 year old Ibe believes he stand a chance of playing for England, as present coach of the senior national team of England Gareth Southgate picked him regularly during his stints as U21 coach of England.

According to the Sun, the former England youth international will prefer to wait for his time with England than jump at the chance of representing Nigeria at the World Cup.

This is the second time in 18 months , that Ibe has turned down the chance to represent Nigeria at senior level, as he did same when he was first approached by former coach Sunday Oliseh while at Liverpool.
this looks like a false news

first thing I thought too, but on the flip side, against this same Fleetwood about 2 weeks ago, the boy came in with about 10min to the end of the game when there's nothing meaningful he could have done, some people here criticized him like he's the source of their poor game. so bros celebrate his two goals for today

What we the supporters of Iheanacho see while sitting down his haters won't see even when they climb an iroko tree.. Lol grin

I mean check out this guy's stats and compare with any other Nigerian plying their trade in football world over currently, his game time to goal ratio out beats everyone else yet haters will be on his case day in day out.

Nigeria u-17 kelechi was scoring, in Man City Youth reserve team, dude was scoring, IN Man city senior team under Mancini kelechi was scoring, even under Pep's Man city where he had less playing time - he was still scoring, In Leicester under this demon of a coach called Puel, Iheanacho is still scoring.

Even in Super Eagles Iheanacho is firing on all cylinders yet people won't let him rest. Calling for him to be dropped from the world Cup squad.

My question is: if you drop him from the squad who do you replace him with?... Is it this lad at bournemout who has scored just one goal since January 2017 that the NFF is disgracing themselves begging with cap in hand to come play for us?...

Or is he to be replaced with one of these other overgrown, overfeeding and over pampered "init" boys?

Or to be replaced by Kayode that have been firing blanks even when he has seen more playing time?

The truth here is that form is temporary while class is permanent. For many football players in the world, the more time you seat on the bench, the more your confidence drops, the more your performance drop... But as for kelechi Iheanacho, even with more time spent on the bench, he delivers most times when called upon.

To me that is class, to most of us his supporters that is raw undiluted talent. You are only blind if you decide not to see it.

Most of Nacho's goals for the SE came when he played as a SS. Even yesterday's goals came from that position.

Based on this, Noah Bazee, Sone Aluko etc can replace him perfectly but our prayer is for all of them to do well

Besides, Nacho has played for more than 500 minutes while Kayode only played 400 minutes.

Olarewaju Kayode Shuns Amiens, Agrees Loan Move To Turkish Side Yeni Malatyaspor

Manchester City summer signing Olarewaju Kayode has turned down the chance to join French Ligue 1 side Amiens in favour of a move to Turkish side Yeni Malatyaspor.

Per the last report on Kayode by this portal, the 24 year old was putting finishing touches on a loan move to struggling French Ligue 1 side Amiens, but latest report suggest he has agreed to join Yeni Malatyaspor of Turkey.

Kayode who was linked with clubs in Turkey before talks started over a move to Amiens is looking for a new club to spend the rest of the season on loan, after struggling to impress at Spanish LaLiga side Girona.

He joined Man City in the summer after impressing for Austrian side Austria Wien last season, where he scored 17 goals and was also voted the best player in Austria last season.

The Nigeria international is searching for a club where he can get regular game time in order to help him stay in the senior national team of Nigeria ahead of the World Cup in Russia.

A former junior international with Nigeria, he has struggled to establish himself as a regular in the Super Eagles, no thanks to the options available to coach Gernot Rohr in attack.

Leicester City Coach Puel Gives His Take On Iheanacho History Making Brace In FA Cup Replay

Manager of Leicester City Claude Puel has showered praises on Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho after his brace helped them to a 2-0 win over Fleetwood Town in the FA Cup replay.
The Nigerian who has been a bit part player at Leicester since his move to the Foxes, scored a goal in each half to send Leicester through to the next round of the FA Cup.

His second goal was given after the referee made use of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) to overrule his assistant who had raised his flag for offside against Iheanacho.

Iheanacho’s goal went into the record books as the first to be awarded using the VAR, and manager Puel has expressed his delight with the brace scored by the Nigerian.

Puel who ruled out any plans of letting the Nigerian leave the club in January, once again spoke about the quality he possesses that helped him in scoring tonight’s brace.

”Kelechi showed a good attitude, worked hard for his teammates and got between the line. His first goal showed a lot of quality and the second was a fantastic move between him and Riyad Mahrez”, Puel said at the post match conference.

Amuneke bullish of Sudan success

Coach Emmanuel Amuneke has told SCORENigeria he is confident he will succeed at Sudanese club Al Khartoum.
Ex-Flying Eagles coach Amuneke has signed a two-year contract and praised the quality of players he met on ground, although he retains hope of improving certain areas within the team.

He told SCORENigeria: “Work has begun already, we are mapping out strategies ahead of the second round of the league.
“It is my responsibility to nurture the team to gain a continental ticket and although I am not promising a continental ticket, I remain resolute ahead of the task ahead.

“I have a goal as a coach which will be my source of inspiration. I have been training the boys for about two weeks now and their response has been quite impressive.

“As regards the language barrier, I am constantly improving and having some of them understand English has been very beneficial.”
The former CAF African Footballer of the Year added: “As a professional coach, I should cope in any given environment, having played and coped in Spain and Egypt, I believe Sudan will be no different.”

Exactly. At least that way we can can be sure some of the broadcasts will be okay. NTA will always be NTA.

somehow:
Signing a deal with NTA is the worst decision ever taken by LMC, makes no sense. It would have even made more sense signing deals directly with one private station per state to air their home matches live in each state. This should be possible or don't you think so?

bristol is in the championship, Fleetwood is a non-division side. Lemme make it clear, we have Epl(Leicester), Championship, League 1, league 2, national league, conference and sunday league(this is where Fleetwood probably reside grin). So that is like 7places down, just like Iheanacho scoring against a secondary school NNPC/Shell cup team
was it the reason his first touch came good too??

I didn't actually watch the last night's match although I watched the first leg.

Yeah, Fleetwood may not be a Powerhouse but we as Nigerians have to be proud of Iheanacho that he still has his scoring boots on. Honestly, we will not gain anything by discrediting him.

I think the pressure of Iheanacho's move got to Puel and he had no choice than to play him yesterday. And Iheanacho did what we have always wanted him to do. That is grab the opportunity with both hands.

But I hope Puel did not just use this game to give the young man some little hope only for him to confine him back to bench once the transfer window is closed.

If that Bristol move is still open, I prefer he still makes that move.

Iheanacho feeds off confidence. His performance improved considerably after scoring the first. The same thing happened against Argentina.

The quality is still there. At his best, he could be an amazing asset at the world cup.

When we said Iheanacho should stay and fight for the Shirt at Leicester City, Some Dudes nearly got us lynched, coz they believe Bristol City has the best Manager in the World, in fact - Puel is a worse Manager comparing to the Bristol City Manager.

Also when we opined that Iheanacho is better off as a SS, that he would conveniently and confidently thrive in the Position, some Dudes believe he has been drilled to play as a lone Striker, hence he should continue his development as a lone Striker.

Iheanacho had a good Game because he's ready to fight, he ain't wanna run to a lower League. He knows the Match is like a Trial to him; had he played badly, he would have been on the Plane to Bristol City this Morning.

I'm really happy for him, but we need to be patient and see if he's gonna replicate the form and be consistent with it. Form ain't permanent, but class is. However, the combo of both makes you a world class Player.

Iheanacho ain't a world class Player, not even close to, at the moment. He has the potential to be, but truth has to be said; he's not and far to it for now.

Finally, to those mocking Kayode because Iheanacho had a good Game last Night, I guess you Folks have never pointed Fingers at Forgiveness as a Tribal Bigot.

Shalom.

Something must lead to termination of contract. It could be due to injury, financial problem etc but in this case Kayode forced his way out of the club by refusing to go back to Girona after his Christmas break expired as stated by that report.

Or do you know the reason his loan deal was terminated?

you're right Sir.
He has the quality to thrive. But his major problem is his own lack of WILLINGNESS to play. He seems to have found it.
I was pleased and smiled when I saw him getting is a.ss up and made the dash to the 18yard box.

So many positives from last night game. Atleast he is improving. It's just a matter of time he'll come good and better. All he needs is PATIENCE as I have always said. Both on his path and the fans.
