Orji was better than Eze to me. Eze was rash and he gave away the corner that resulted in the goal when he could have kicked out for throwing. I have noticed that he can get overwhelmed and make silly decisions

He is not great. But so far the center defence has done well overall. I will like to see how they hold up in tougher games.

Orji has been wasteful on setpieces

What a pity Adeleye didn't make it due to injury cos i remember against Ghana in the WAFU final the moment Adeleye got injured Eze was exposed and we conceded four goals.

I watched Orji during NPFL invitational tournament the guy looked okay and so far look calmed than Eze.Eze seems to be overwhelmed occasionally.

I remember icon4s said this about him during WAFU and you are saying the same thing again and i noticed it too but good is going to Europe where he would be polished.

The team is still not very good. Equatorial Guinea is the poorest team in this group and we labored against them especially in the first half.

Okpotu is not a good enough striker even with the goal.

The positives are players like Faleye and Eze.

My brother, we had to endure watching that first 45mins.

I even slept off on three occasions.

The boys play better when they make short passes rather than trying those long balls.

That Okpotu guy had to score today. It was either today or never for him. His goal gave the team the needed composure and drive.

Men... but that team sha. Na endurance person take dey watch o.

I hope they can raise their game at the final stages.

Yes you are right, truly when i heard Bulgaria i wasn't impressed but i think he should use the opportunity to step up just like the way Shehu Abdullahi did in Cyprus.

Shehu Abdullahi was in Portugal before moving to Cyprus. Portugal was where he earned his national team call-up

Eze is a good prospect. He has the size and he is technical enough with the ball. I believe he needs to work on his heading because at his height he should be more dangerous in the air.
To me it just looks like Orji doesn't lose any duels and he goes about his business as the brains of the operation.

The CHAN team are representatives of pur league... winning the tournament will help improve the image of the league outside Nigeria... Again, some people are just following the tournament not because they are fans of the NPFL but because they just wanna support Nigeria.. maybe they will put more interest in the league if we win it .

Bro the benefits are much .. Its our league representing in CHAN

This team is tactically poor and technically deficient.
They are jittery and uncomposed in front of goal
Their ball controls are seriously unconvincing
This tournament should have been a showcase of probables for the WC but contract is the case here.

If these guys should make it to the finals then African leagues are wash!
l totally agree with this comment

Looks epic but how does the pitch look? Are u saying Plateau & Wikki will share this stadia? Is it long term or short?

There's something positive I've noticed about the CHAN EAGLES and that is their good passing rate. I love their short passes. The only thing they lack which is very vital is that killer instinct to score goals. Hopefully they'll improve on that.

You mean flashy passes because E.Guinea had more possession, i believe.

. I still find that possession stat hard to believe. Call them 'flashy' but I'll call them 'clean'. Don't ask me what a 'dirty' pass is though. wink

You're so on point. Kalu Orji is the maim man in that defense. Eze struggles alot to sort his feet out, could be his height. He can be clumsy at times. I think he scored more own goals than any defender last season in the NPFL
By thw way, why have nobody acknowledged Osas Okoro's deadly crossing. Time and time again, he delivered beautifully weighed in crosses. So far, he has 2 assists in 3 games, which translates to 50% of the teams goal , solid stats for a Right back, I would think?
