I'm trying to access Nigeria's chances at this mundial. Before Poland and Serbia I rated their chances highly after those games I was scratching my head thinking should they have even qualified

What's your assessment nairalanders? I'll be at the England v Nigeria game. Will you be holding off until that game for assessment. I ask because all the Nigerians I talk to, 1 don't know Nigeria has even qualified, 2 don't even know that the game with England is even taking place and 3 do not rate our chances at all

Lemme guess, the Nigerians you spoke to are all in England right?

Just watching some old Vincent Enyeama highlights with super eagles and how magnificent that man was between the sticks for Nigeria and how diarrhea mouth Oliseh humiliated him after the burial of his mother....Enyeama is the greatest Nigerian keeper and one of the world best....go argue with your village people

Pele Oga, Enyeama cousin!
Village too far. U fit arrange transport?

Rohrs instruction was victor moses to take set pieces. The way we make assumptions and jump to conclusions is alarming. The team us going to be together for a while, who gets to take set pieces will be decided in due course.
this is one notion I ha e tried correcting time without number but yet some folks will rather turn deaf ears...

Nothing happens in the pitch without the coaches conscient

Am not against "oyinbo wall" but if we notice any slack of form in any of d pairing, dey can b benched for a better player

It's not a must we use oyinbo wall at d world cup. cool
Did i say he cannot be benched.Pls always read my line very well.

Watching Nigeria vs France right now.

I have to say, Enyeama was brilliant, but was beaten by a corner as usual. The defenders had 80% of the blame for the first goal though. They failed to clear the second shot

It is possible but with all the training, hidden injuries will show eventually.
Yes better for Rohr to ascertain the fitness of Balogun,Ebuehi, Etebo,Joel and Ndidi sure date of return

I'm currently watching the NiG vs CMR again seriously

Moses Simon
Victor moses
Ighalo
Mikel
Ndidi

They're really important to this team i can't imagine simon out for this coming world cup

Ighalo may not score goals but trust me his a bully forget the fine face he can definitely make a defender make Error404 leading to unnecessary card!!!!

Possibly Ighalo's best game for Nigeria. He was really good. Onazi was also on fire that day. Infact in both legs.

I sympathize with Simon Moses. He really deserve to be in Russia. Maybe his enemies and those journalists writing trash about him should be satisfied now. Meanwhile Etebo should be his best replacement for d LW position for now. Etebo played d LW position at d Olympics and was very dangerous there. He has no business in d middle of d field for d SE, LW should be d best position to utilize his energy, defensive n attacking abilities. But if we need a winger that offers something different, then Onyekuru should be invited if he's fully fit. As for Musa, we know he cant start any match, we also know he cant make any positive difference from d bench yet nobody is talking about dropping him.

Ikr
As a striker it not necessary you score goals but if you can be a bully; that will make your opponent lose their head then the team is Good to go because your wingers will surely exploit them cool they will be scared to commit tackles

As a striker, it is important to score goals. That is your job.

Hopeful that Ighalo can score goals at the WC proper.

Forget his goal drought for Super Eagles Ighalo is not just strong but highly skillful and technical.

Simon helped the defence a lot on that game that was where he was mostly useful. He missed a golden chance , created an easy chance for Mr wasteful VicMo to score and wasn't successful with a lot of his dribbles .

Well, I agree with you on your second paragraph. He should be given a fair chance but I doubt he can be what we are waiting for.
You're right to doubt bro. Even me set dey doubt the guy based on the magnitude of league way him dey play.
But the coaching crew get to give am attention and examine am wella because e fit be say the guy achievement no be because of say na NPFL but na him quality.

Sometimes, the low quality of a league doesn't mean a player's exploits were triggered on that premise.

Reminds me of Lewandowski. He was once a local player- in poland. He used to play for a small club in the Polish second division- Znicz Pruzcow. he lit up the league with goals and eventually became the highest goal scorer. He got signed by a bigger club in the Polish first division- Lech Poznan. He dazzled even more by scoring over 20 goals which won the league for his new club.
This made a top class European club Borussia Dortmund snatch him up . Now see what he's become. A world class banger.

Against Cameroon Ighalo could have scored 2 goals if it wasn't for Victor Moses. Ighalo can score a lot of goals if the players around him can understand his style...If Ighalo blends with Nacho as a support striker it will prove deadly. Ighalo will never click with Victor Moses...He needs to be paired with Nacho or Iwobi ,players with more vision and less dribble.

Simon will not be at the World Cup ? Where did you get the news ?

Etebo playing at left wing ? You must be kidding.

Lokosa on the wings. Hmmmm another Uzoenyi

grin

Didn't know much about him though, but just hoping he makes the Final List as a Boost for the NPFL Players.

I wouldn't mind to play Ebuehi on the Wing to be candid. He's technical, pacy and can dribble. Ryan Sessegnon started the Season as a FB for Fulham, but eventually gets converted to a Wing-Forward.

Gareth Bale also started his Career as a LB, but Today he's a deadly Winger. Ebuehi is kinda too light as a Defender. He can be bullied by strong Wingers. I would rather exploit his technicality, Skills, Pace and Brilliance as a Winger.

My point is that he has the ability to operate from the wings just like Ndidi can play CB, Shehu DM.
