I don't understand this comment. The boy is verifiably young unlike some other players in the under 20 team. His youth is verifiable meaning it can be proven.

I am simply advocating for including genuinely young players not the uncles in the team.

It only takes one match to decide if a player has quality or not. You don't need to watch training because it was through his performance in training that he got the start.

Former Super Eagles defender Efe Ambrose scored his second goal in the Europa League as his Scottish club Hibernian battled from two goals down to beat Asteras Tripolis of Greece 3-2 in the qualifying rounds of the Europa League.

Giorgos Kiriskopoulous scored in the 12th and 35th minute to give the Greek side a two zero lead going into the half time break but four minutes after the hour mark, Efe Ambrose started the comeback with the first goal for Hibernian.

David Gray levelled matters for the Scottish side in the 76th minute and he almost snatched a dramatic win for the home side but the shot stopper of the visitors from Greece denied him with a fantastic stop.

Two minutes into time added on Florian Kamberi netted was ended as the winner for Hibernian to complete an amazing turn around for the modest Scottish team ahead of the return leg tie next week.

The goal was the second goal Ambrose who plays as a central defender has scored in the Europa League Qualifiers this season as he was also on target in their last game against NSI in the previous round.

29 year old Ambrose is still hopeful of forcing his way into the international set up once again as he has not been considered for selection since Franco-German coach Gernot Rohr took over two years ago.

Unai Emery has revealed that Alex Iwobi will sign a new deal at the club.

While Arsenal are yet to officially confirm the contract extension, it’s thought the Nigeria international, as reported the other day, will sign terms that keep him at the Emirates until at least 2022.

The 22-year-old has 98 appearances for the Gunners to his name and last put pen-to-paper on a deal back in 2015.

Asked about Iwobi while in Singapore, Emery replied: “I have the information, he is near…my information is he will sign to stay with us.”

Iwobi, like fellow World Cup returnees Mohamed Elneny and Mesut Ozil didn’t feature in yesterday’s 3-1 penalty shootout defeat to Atletico Madrid but could get a few minutes on Monday when we face Paris Saint Germain.

“Mesut, Elneny and Iwobi are working with us – my first impression is very good,” added the Spaniard.
