safarigirl: Why would someone still be supporting Buhari? Or are you suggesting that the election has already been rigged because that is the only way he could possibly stand a chance, but now even the people that could help him rig the election are against him. This election solely lies on who PDP presents as their flag bearer |

Kog45:and look at how sharp the attack became with the inclusion of that trio How many goals did Ighalo, Nwakaeme and Samuel provide after their inclusion to the team? Can you beat your chest and say with your church mind that their inclusion gave our attack any sharpness? It is not enough to throw in people to roles, you must ask yourself the result their inclusion has brought. And all these three players have combined since their inclusion is ONE goal. Is that how a serious team should operate? Anyway, I look at Ighalo the same way I used to see Echiejile, an overrated thorn in the flesh that will be phased out with time. The core difference though, is that Echiejile has a legacy far greater than Ighalo's 1 Like |

safarigirl:Madam you are out of the way. My point is simple The two nil lost against South Africa paved way for Ighalo recalled and invitation to Nwakaeme and Aaron. Pls go and watch Cameroon match home and away again and give me vivid report on Ighalo performance. My point is cleared our lost against South Africa turned the team around against Cameroon. |

Mickael2:if there is one thing I always do, it is to look at the stakes and judge. In 2015, I told everyone who would listen that Buhari would win because the voting calculations were favorable to him. In 2019, for all the hate that Buhari has supposedly amassed, he will still win. Really, who does PDP want to field? As of now, the likes of Atiku, Saraki and Kwankwaso are the lead candidates. None of these men have the kind of support Buhari and APC has. I can give you seventeen states that will vote Buhari, mostly from South West and the North. Only Benue might diverge, but the other Northern States are 98% in the bag because Nigerians are senseless people The likes of Moghalu and Durotoye are elite candidates. They will appeal to the social media users and urban dwellers, but this group of people are not voters. The voters are in the rural areas, they don't even understand English most of the time. Do Moghalu and Surprise have campaigners on the ground to sell them to the average farmer in Sokoto? Does the market woman in Osogbo know that a candidate like Durotoye is coming out for President? Does the bus conductor in Afikpo know of Kingsley Moghalu? Social media support flatters to deceive, it is grassroots presence that determines who wins the Presidency and right now, only APC and Buhari have that. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Kog45:He's a clown. Stop trying to reason with him. Ask him to bring proof that shows I always hate on Iwobi - the idiot will just vanish. Funny how I've become an "Iwobi hater" despite praising his performance last week, arguing about him being underrated SEVERAL times on here and even arguing with someone about an article I posted showing Emery rates him. But this is what blind patriotism does to people. It has gotten to the extent that posting a transfer rumor about Lazio bidding 25m Is me saying Emery would sell him. I'm running out of patience with this type of talk and will start insulting anyone that calls me a "hater" when their mumu "patriotism" kicks in. Fool probably doesn't like Iwobi as much as I do. 3 Likes |

Kog45: So, because of Cameroon home and away, we should continue with mediocrity. Let us go back and watch Nigeria vs France to defend Onazi, let us go back to the game against Zambia to defend Iheanacho, and Echiejile is not bad, he had a great game against Mali in AFCON 2013. Let us live in the past to defend a proven failure |

edi287:quote one place where I said I want Iheanacho to start. Stop quoting me to talk rubbish everytime, ask questions if your understanding is poor. Quote one place since I joined this discussion yesterday where I said anyone should start Iheanacho I said Kelechi has better goals-games ratio. Did I lie? I said Kelechi is a better forward, did I lie? I said Ighalo is a woeful forward with abysmal record in the national team, did I lie? I said it is disgraceful that we can't find a better #9 than Ighalo, I even said we don't need a #9 if Ighalo is the best we have. Those were my words, never did I even refer to Iheanacho as a #9 It was you and your cohorts that brought Iheanacho up when we were attacking the inclusion of Ighalo. You people need to keep Iheanacho out of your mouths if you want to defend your impotent striker. It is not Kelechi's fault that Ighalo's village people have put his talent inside calabash. 1 Like |

safarigirl: In 2015 Jonathan didn't cover himself in glory at all, his loss was as clear as the noon day sun even before January of 2014. Buhari merely took advantage of the collapsing ship not this his own ship was the strongest either. The other thing that Buhari benefited from was that coalition and a lot of the top dogs were part of it, rigging wise he had the base, money wise he had the base too and support wise he was there, right now he no longer has that coalition, he hardly has the support base either and we can only say he has the financial base as at now. OK let's say someone like Kwankwaso wins(who I will be voting for come the primaries)Kano and Kaduna would be won easily by the PDP no doubt at all, that would have already put the cat among the pigeons for Buhari and since APGA(the self acclaimed Igbo party) is in an unspoken alliance with PDP, they'd possibly run away with the eastern votes too. The western voters are still there for the taking and I believe Tinubu's influence there has waned seriously. The only reason why Buhari may even smell anything would be if APGA brings out a strong contender(that would split the eastern votes) and maybe another party brings out a western contender too, other than that Buhari isn't going to see anything. Forget all these ALSO-RANS that you are talking about. A few years from now you will see them occupying ministerial and ambassadorial roles and they will eventually retire on a fat pension living in well furnished houses, that's the aim for them. The problem though is that they do not understand that their presence is Buhari's advantage. If all the other parties in Nigeria can merge(or at least the top ones) like they did in the 2015 election and they collectively back one representative this election is done and dusted for them, take that to the bank any day. This is exactly why I love the US' system too. Meanwhile what I want to know is who you will be voting for, who you think will win because you are voting for them, forget who the market women will vote for, that won't reduce the value of your vote one bit |

Mickael2: Do u reside in Nigeria? And u follow d 9ja politics keenly? Except u reside in Uk or Us, den I will accept ur view, since u re not on ground to knw exactly what is going on? Who is lying to u dt,d fate of d next election solely lies on who PDP appoints as deir flag bearer To start with,d PDP as a party is not serious,we av barely 6ixmonths to general election, yet dey avnt agreed on a consensus candidate, even d incumbent President has declared 2months back to show his seriousness Now let's look at d PDP bigwig going for d presidential post @d moment. Critically, dey all av issues even at deir HOME BASE IS IT ATIKU....if dt one contest against him wife self I doubt if he would win d HEAD OF D FAMILY ELECTION ,his electoral value even in his state can b checked Is it SARAKI...who has been rejected everywhere, even in Ilorin and of recent,he was embarrassed at d oju ode oba while making his speech ,d crowd were chanting "sai baba" Is it LAMIDO...no go area,no political clout in d s/w and s/e...and a bed ridden buhari will defeat him effortlessly in d North.. Fact Is it Markafi/Ibrahim shekarau...same lamido fate goes with dem Is it kwankwaso...who ordinarily has a big followership in kano, but after his defection to PDP,majority of his follower ship has abandoned him, anywhere he goes, dey chant sai baba instead of his name, even on eid day,he couldn't withstand d embarrassment he might faced at home(kano),so he decided to observe his eid prayers in EDO STATE. IS IT TAMBUWAL....senator wammako is already showing him where his ppu belong to,am sure by now he would b biting his fingers Havnt said dt,if d election is held tmao,BUHARI WOULD WIN WITH A WIDE MARGIN. Even though I want a change in d GOVT,dt doesnt mean we shld ignore d obvious truth Meanwhile for d likes of moghalu, durotaiye, sowore and co,I want to believe dis guys just want to b addressed as a FORMER PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE in d nearest future Dey stand no chance against any of d PDP candidate listed, let alone of BUHARI,dts d bitter truth,I would b very surprise if any of deir parties get to win a WARD IN d next coming general election Nigeria politics goes beyond gallivanting around world campaigning in Honolulu, Texas,Amsterdam, a style adopted by sowore. this ppu won't vote,d farmers in kano/baruten LG,d market women in osogbo market,d business men in mbaise, d cattle rearer in daura etc re d ones who will give u d bloc vote, ask dis ppu who d likes of moghalu, sowore and co is,dey don't knw dem All dey knw is "BROOM AND UMBRELLA" and we dt knw dem,we support and vote online, while dey get deir PVCs and vote for deir choice. 2 Likes |

Mickael2:I doubt Kwankwaso can pull Kaduna from under El Rufai, and there is a pro-Buhari movement in Kano as well, so, expect a serious tussle there. That being said, I honestly have no idea who I'm going to vote or if I'm going to vote. I am greatly averse to the idea of standing on a long line under a hot sun to cast any votes. I have a medical condition that will not permit that and I am very impatient, so, I am undecided on voting. I like to observe politics, not necessarily participate and I have not seen any candidate that I am passionate enough about to make me go out and vote. Maybe if they would ensure people did not have to wait under the sun, I would be compelled to vote 1 Like |

elyte89: I think you all are underestimating the effect of Buhari's spat with Nnamdi Kalu then. The fact of the matter is that the man managed to gather enough supporters, in fact about 90% of Igbo people scattered all across Nigeria are supporting him and that means they are against Buhari. In this analysis you gave now (although it actually looks correct) you have totally neglected the eastern and western parts forgetting that they too constitute voters and because of the kind of publicity this election is getting, the number of voters coming out from there would be twice as much as it was last election. I guess you are a proper northern resident because you broke it down very well. But let's take Kwankwaso for example, he will win Kano hands down and his support base in Kaduna too which I have seen is massive add to that the fact that Jonathan, the main voice of the South South would invariably be supporting anybody that the PDP presents while PDP's alliance with APGA means probably a clean sweep for any PDP candidate in the East, an alliance with the West is usually quite tricky but can be navigated since Buhari through Tinubu already disappointed the westerners so possibly a strong base in the West too then you will realise that Kwankwaso for example would have succeeded in breaking up the support for Buhari in the north whilst staking a claim in other parts of the federation and that's how elections are won. forget those other pretenders 1 Like |

elyte89:he has no viable competition. The sad thing is PDP gas failed to provide a consensus candidate and that will be their greatest undoing. If at this stage they have no candidate then they simply cannot win. They should have presented a candidate at least by November of 2017 so that this candidate CA acquaint himself with the electorate. It is not because Nigerians love Buhari that he will win, he has been the worst President since 1999 as far as I am concerned, under him, Nigeria became the poverty capital of the world. It is better to be a corruption haven than a poverty capital, but now, Nigeria is BOTH. History will remember Buhari as the man who destroyed this country both as head of state and as President, a man who had a chance to correct his mistakes and only made it worse. Buhari will win because the people are DEFEATED. Because the people have been so impoverished that they have accepted the constant abuse by their elite. Buhari will win because he has destroyed the spirit of Nigeria and the people have no fight in them left Like Favour Onyeoziri said on twitter: "Voters empathy helped Buhari win in 2015, voters apathy will help him win in 2019" 2 Likes |

Did you see me promoting mediocre or siding Ighalo. But fact remains Ighalo delivered against Cameroon so failing in subsequent matches will not stop me from saying the fact. The major discourse was our poor performance against South Africa and how Ighalo was called back against Cameroon and delivered. Generally Ighalo performance in eagles wasn't good enough. |

Mickael2: Buhari has always been winning kano eversince d time of obasanjo, yaradua and Jonathan He won d north votes with ANPP,left ANPP when ANPP formed alliance with PDP under yardua/buhari election,he "formed" his own party called " CPC"...and back to history, buahri has always won d north bloc votes, even d likes of obj couldn't defeat him in north,go and check d fact to prove me wrong,PDP has always won/rigged if I may say buhari with d bloc votes from S/west,S/south and S/east So kwankwaso or no kwankwaso, buhari electoral value in kano and all oda N/west has always been high.,buhari is a "religion" in north forget..less I forget, kwankwaso was even d sitting governor when burahi won kano votes in his first trial under ANPP,and den kwankwaso was/is a PDP member den,so what re we saying And now with buhari as incumbency, rigging/winning him out from swest is impossible, where buharis boiz are,d likes of (tinubu,Amosun(since d days of ANPP),fayemi, aregbesola factor in osun, rotimi akeredolu, ondo state)...u shld knw dt d bloc vote from s/west will be in favour of APC Now let's move to S/S...APC just scored. Big political point in d transfer market by buying akpabio and also Edo gov(APC),rotimi amaechi factor in rivers,(remember he can't be rigged ridiculously in rivers like dey did in 2015),if I am correct self,d 3 present APC senators representing rivers has decamped to APC, and with dis, buhari shld at least get 35/40percent vote.WC I think is better in 2015 when he got 10percent s/south vote.NB..Rivers,Cross river and Edo state vote will b keenly shared. Going forward...S/east buhari will still retain his 5percent @least...but I think with d money bag campaign and incumbency power, d 5percent vote in south east shld rise to 10/20percent vote from south east if dey play d "see and buy votes" and not "buy and see votes.. Infact We don't longer do "buy and see votes" again in Nigeria.and I trust our brodas in d east, dey love money, In d north central....its a 50/50 thing for buhari, its eida ways,d likes of Benue, kogi, taraba, plateau, might not favor buhari, leaving him with nasarawa,abuja,kwara...anyway all he needs dere too its just 45-55percent vote Now north...N/west,buhari will win massively with my explanation earlier, N/east....Same.. And we online voters dt love to analyse,we no get PVC,votes count in ballot boxes |
