Hope you know this is kelechi not chidiebere, kelechi is basically a CM not a winger, cut the guy some slack.

Moreover that game yesterday was inconsequential, it does not carry any weight.

Kelechi played several games in Holland on the right.

For fringe players, that game was important because it was a chance to show the coach what they are capable of. Nwakali might not get the opportunity again any time soon.

Am I the only one here that think Rohr doesn't rate the Belgian league? That might probably be why Desser,Bonaventure and Ajagun haven't been called up..

When Ndidi was in the Belgian league he and Anderson Esiti were among the best midfielders there... In the SE,they weren't regulars but still got some playing time.. After Ndidi joined Leicester he became a regular while Esiti was dropped... Kalu and Onyekuru didn't get their chance in the SE despite their standout performance in Belgium. same with Uche Agbo.. Even Peter Olayinka was overlooked..

Simeon Moses was the only player from the Belgian league who was a regular in the team and that might b because he has been in the team before Rohr took over..

Just my theory sha... But who else feels the same way??
You are making real sense here

I hope it will not be too late by then.

We should start asking questions now?

You can if you want but the answer will come in the form of results against Libya.

Are u implying something like this?:

................Musa
Simon.....................Kalu

Iwobi......................Etebo

.................Mikel

Collins...Balogun..Ekong..Ajayi.

O boy who is going to cover that big hole you have created at the Middle. No box to box midfielder? Who plays in the hole behind the striker? Plus there is no way Rohr is going to start both Ajayi and Jamilu. You are duplicating roles for your wingers. 4 wingers?

Or is it that I am not getting the structure of the team. Please represent it in the above form let's see.

Well,on Ajayi and Jamilu: Yeah, Rohr is not going to start both. Probably a 3-5-2 with Balogun,Troost and Omeruo as the centre backs.

On playing the role behind the striker, that is optional. There mustn't be a define 10 position na. Must there? It's only in our national team I see a tendency to always play a defined 10 behind the striker. Spain didn't play it yesterday. Niguez and Ceballos played RMF and LMF respectively and the they walloped their opponents notwithstanding.
I'm not stiff on playing 4-2-3-1/4-5-1 to accommodate a 10. If it's that formation Iwobi/Simon will lose their place.

Kayode is injured.... This has been established already

He has not played a game so far, that is like asking us to look towards Sarenren Bazee who is in a similar position to him.

You and this your boyfriend will just be doing "I support you" without verifying anything, talk about prejudice and emotive bias
It beats me how he can boldly claim people are biased and accuse them of being illogical and adding sentiments when he is prolly the most biased on this thread, meanwhile he changes Senarios at will to defend his players, talk about hypocrisy!!

Ok na. Make we just sidon dey lukuku until me miss out of the AFCON.

The Libyans are no push over. Hope he gets things right.

Didn't anyone tell you Joel Obi already broke into the first team of the SE before those matches?

He was outstanding with the national team before injury blocked him for years.

Joel Obi was with the national team before yea I know.. But how many games did he play? Even with him having been with the national team before he couldn't do better on his recall despite his club form.. Now u want us to throw new players into the mix just like that....

I'm not scared of Libya at all. We heard better things about Cameroon last year....

The game against Liberia was an insult to all the young chaps in the team, looking to create an impression

Rohr and Pinnick ought to apologise to the players and the entire country for such a waste of time. If I was fielded against men old enough to birth me, I would be livid. What kind of nonsense is that? Couldn't Pinnick find some less busy oldies to field? How do you make young men fly all the way from their various clubs to come and play Weah? That is pure nonsense. And the publicizing of the match is even more ridiculous.

I feel bad for all those boys who got on that pitch expecting a game

Well, this is a completely different formation from the one you described earlier. And I must say it looks a lot workable.

Now on the issue of a number 10. I never said there must be a number 10. I only mentioned it as a possible option for u to play one behind your striker. And u also needed a box to box midfielder. Well, from the formation u posted above you selected a number 10 in Iheanacho.

In a typical 4-5-1 formation or any variant of it u need the number 10 player behind the CF. But in a typical 4-4-2, u only have an SS and a box to box midfielder. No recognized number 10.

I only watched little of the Spain vs Croatia game. What formation did they play?

Ghana came from behind to beat CIV 2-1 in the other semi final. We have to do our own job against Niger.
