I just saw this news...

*MAN CITY WILL SANCTION MASSIVE DELE BID*

Manchester City are prepared to sanction a record-breaking move for Tottenham star Dele Alli, according to the Sunday Express.
The England international is seen as the potential long-term heart of the squad as Pep Guardiola seeks to overhaul his team with an emphasis on homegrown players.

What do u folks see to a swap deal that will involve Kelechi going d other way round?.
Don't u think it will be good n nice seeing him work with M. Pochettino?

Cc: Other Forumites.

I do not see Dele Alli as a major target of Guardiola. Some papers are also tipping City to make a huge bid for Isco who seems a better replacement for Silva.

As for the Swap, I do not see Iheanacho getting a good run of games at Tottenham because of Kane.

English media are so stupid, they make massive transfer rumor for their average players. The rumor didn't move me a inch 'cos pep is someone who doesn't fancy english players

Either way, we have exciting times ahead because City will refresh the squad with young and bright talents. I do not see Dele Alli matching those coming in.

Even if he wanna go for home base, Rose is preferable inother to solve our defensive problem than dele. Dele who? No space for him in dat mid-field unless he wan be between the post.

Yes but why was he removed from there? Because he hardly creates any good scoring oppurtunity, I remember you told me this a long time ago and I later found out that you are correct but he was moved away because he really wasn't good there. A versatile player is someone like Azpilicueta that can play RB, LB, CB and sometimes DMF to perfection.

lol.. there should never be fuss really.. what i dislike about threads is when people start resorting to personal attacks. our status in life is insignificant here. People who are really something in life don't reveal it in threads like this, unless they are suffering from low self esteem.
Let's respect ourselves that we would never have to agree. state your opinion, back it up however you can and leave it at that.. at the end of the day, we still learn from each other.

Mikel Arteta was qualified to have a UK passport as at the time of calling, having worked in UK over 5 years.

Rio Ferdinand for all his endvour and status as the most expensive defender and antecedents captained England just 7 times. Mostly as a deputy to John Terry.
Here is the list of all England captains till date. Spot the black players you can find.

You are not getting it!
Arteta wasn't qualified as at that time because he had already turned up for Spain youth national team and didn't have a British passport at that time.

? This guy was my friends senior who finished high school in 2000. Meanwhile he claimed U17 in 2009.

I have quit a few discussions on age cheating with people denying that it's far from rampant and that the MRI scan has largely ended the practice.

One thing I do know is that a 15 year old will not remain the same after 5 years in body or in facial features. Omeruah has remained largely the same physically in facial features and body since 2009.

where and when did he create the scoring oppurtunities? He started the play for 3 good chances no doubt but he didn't create 3 good scoring oppurtunities, he passed the ball out wide in all 3 occasions, I am not selling him short I just want to explain that he didn't create the chance exactly, he created the oppurtunity that led to the chance. But let's look at it critically, why didn't he create any good scoring oppurtunity when he started as a DMF? Ndidi came in and still managed to create a good play from the DMF position, if you play Onazi as the Amf from the first blast of the whistle my brother you are dead

U said all that to agree that he created something. I always tell u that i won't debate this man's quality with u cuz u simply don't like him. Btw he is carrying his normally middle of the pack team to a European spot in Turkey. Ndidi has been doing good since last year and Rohr still opt for old faithful.

Dont know in the case of Onazi, but players can get moved for different reasons apart from performance. Mikel comes to mind (AMF to DMF not because he was a poor AM player). Lauren was moved to RB in Arsenal even though he excelled in the midfield role (was player of the tournament at AFCON 2000). Even Okocha played DMF for a few games in PSG and that didn't work out. Players get moved if there ia a need in the team and if they excel in that new role, they retain their spot

that's true but I was actually specifically writing about Onazi because I checked it

Peter Olayinka reveals Albania national team offer, injury woes

Peter Olayinka (left)

Dukla Prague striker Peter Olayinka has blamed injury problems for his lack of action at Belgian club Gent and so his loan move to the Czech Republic.

The 21-year-old Ibadan-born lanky striker also gave reasons why he couldn't play for Albania after he was contacted.

He also talked about his ambition to play for Nigeria after he missed the last U23 team due to injury.

The full interview:
QUESTION: What can you say about the level of football in the Czech Republic compared to Albania and Cyprus where you played previously?

OLAYINKA: The level in Czech is much better than Albania and Cyprus league. It is higher than both leagues. The quality of players in the league here in Czechs is much better than in Cyprus and Albania.

What do you hope to achieve with Dukla Prague?

I am trying to keep the club in the top-flight league because we are in a delicate situation. And I think keeping them in the league is the top priority, which I can help the team achieve.

When was the most difficult period of your career?

That was at Gent. I got injured on the last day in preparation camp for the season 2016/2017 and I was out for three good months.

It was very difficult for me to come back. So, I was out of the season without playing for them and that brought about me coming here (to Dukla Prague) on loan.

Who encouraged you most to take football serious from the onset?

My coach back then, John Takpe, at Besiktas Academy in Ibadan. He was my motivator and Guardian.

Did you get your parents’ support to play football?

At the initial stage, they were against my choice to play football and didn't support me, but later on they gave me their full support.

You were called to the U23 national team, but couldn't honour the invitation because of injury, how do you feel about this?

Firstly, I thank coach Samson Siasia for inviting me. I felt so bad because I have waited so long for that kind of opportunity but unfortunately I couldn't make it due to injury. I am still eligible to play for next U23 and will be glad to get another chance to play for Nigeria.

How many goals do you wish to score this season?

At least 10 goals.

What is your dream car?

2017 BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz AMG Coupe are my choice cars.

You were contacted by Albania to play for their national team, why did you turn them down?

It was turned down by the football federation President, not me. The national team football committee called me to play for Albania national team, but the president said no for reasons known to him.

Would you have played for them if he didn't turn it down?

Probably yes, because I got no call from the NFF.

When is your career’s best moment?

I have no best moment yet, still on the line waiting for those best moments.

Where is the best stadium you have played before?

Locomotiv Moscow Arena in Russia. It is an amazing football arena.
