Gernot Rohr was at the under 17 team training. Rohr takes a lot of interest in the Nigerian players' welfare and the youth teams. Very impressive man.

Na u dey panic. Me I just they observe.

So U guys thought after beating Cameroon, Algeria etc Nigeria had a good chance at the WC? Interesting.

Icon4s:

The bolded just confirms what u imply. Meaning u had to discard their WC qualfiers performances and judged them only based on mere friendlies.

Set targets if you want. Some of us have been following the AFCON for 4 decades and so we have seen the highs and lows of it. I will just advise you to relax, stop pressing the panic botton and enjoy the nations cup. We can only wish the team Success.

I think it is because of the April 1st date. It is normal culture for sites like even goal.com to release "APRIL FOOL's DAY" kinda news. Don't be fooled brother. Lol

Barnes and Maddison are not keeping Vardy out. Nacho is up against Vardy. So you are equating two different scenarios.

If Iheanacho was as good he would have brought him in and tried a 4-4-2 or 3-4-1-2 as he used in Liverpool

Rodgers is not a rigid manager

Why change formation when he was leading and controlling the game? Formation changes is not for fancy but for a reason. Can you give me a reason why you felt he should change formation?

Formation changes are experimental and sometimes good players drive formation changes

If you have a good 25 million SS on the bench your hands will be driven to try a 4-4-2

Keep the price tag aside. Why should he experiment when he was leading and controlling the game? It is not done. With a lead, seeing out the win is priority, not giving any player time. If they were leading with two or three goals, you can talk of sentiments.

Truth be told, I'd be really unsettled if I hear that on a plane and to make it worse, it's coming from a heavily bearded stereotypical looking jihadist.

Man, it's not funny! I don't wanna imagine it.

Truth be told....

This year s AFCON will be interesting...all the stars are coming...baring injuries....Africa have had a tremendous turnover of players in certain leagues and there will be no club versus country row this time...Morocco is reinforcing massively, some big guns in Cameroon are back,Nigeria qualified with a game to spare,Cote D Ivoire is loaded to the tilt...Tanzania qualified after 39yrs...

Leading, controlling a game that's when you try a formation change

Do you want him to experiment when he's loosing a game?

And don't tell me to keep quiet about price tag, football is all about price tags nowadays

Have the group been drawn? If we are not in the same group with them no problem...by the time we meet them in the semi...world cup ticket would have been in the bag...

Leading with a one goal lead and you want a coach to experiment by breaking the shape of the team!

Did you not see the changes? From my knowledge, Mendy came in to fortify the middle and reduce the chances of conceding.

Then he brought in Ghezzal. Before finally bringing in Nacho. There are reasons for the changes. You do not open your midfield when your leading, especially against a pacy side like Bournemouth. Tactically, it does not add up.

As in eh? If he can locate the talents because I trust his scouting ability and then get them to play with intensity and work rate, which is the in thing, then, three years from now, Tanzania can become a force to reckon with.

Football is about getting it right. Not price tag, if not Mahrez will start ahead of Bernardo Silva, Sterling and Sane. It is about what the players offer to help the team win the game.

Secondly, most offensive changes come when the team is losing or in a draw situation. That is, when the team is pushing for a win or draw.

When you are leading, you do not sacrifice the shape of the team to push for more goals. You can tell the team to press on to get more goals but not change the shape. Unless you wanted him to take out his striker for Nacho which was uncalled for because they were controlling the game.

This right here is your own philosophy

Iheanacho playing 7mins out of a possible 380 shows Rodgers has little in his plans for him
