i concur remember saying something similar some years back

my criteria for being world class:

1. be an exceptional performer in your role which all and sundry will acknowledge (not just club fans and country men)

2. personal awards won (best goalkeeper, top scorer, team of tournament etc)

3. churning out consistent good sometimes great performances over a long period of time for club and country

4. trophies won club or country

now if a player ticks all the boxes in the above mentioned criteria then i would consider him world class

The criteria you said is fact

That's what I was saying about victor valdes

Won the Zamora trophy in Spain for about 5/6 times

Was in FIFA team of the year 4 times

I don't know the rest

Utaka was quality then but he did not maintain consistency for a long period of time. That is what he is pointing.

Utaka was 32 then ,you know what that means when utaka with white hairs is 32,I am not sure if he is even making eagles team then

3 vital players for montepieller then was

Yoanes balhanda ,Oliver giroud ,utaka

E no mean

Yes he was good at Lille ,but world class ? Hello No

Old and washed John utaka won the French league with montepellier and was very vital ,they won it ahead of a psg team with zlatan .

No one said Hazard was World class. There is no need hanging on a false narrative. He was insanely brilliant at Lille and for Hazard to be operating on that level until now, shows Hazard is a World Class player.

Finito.

I wish them the best.

Manu Garba has been a window of blessings to Nigerian football and we owe him a lot for his dedication in churning out quality talents for us.

Praying for their success.

For two seasons, he was the best young player and in another two seasons he was the best player in the French league. How you want to equate that to average beats my imagination.

initially before i would have argued against victor valdes being world class but based on my criteria and the list of achievements you have listed for valdes no sentiments he's world class

For a player to be tagged World Class, the player has to be performing at the highest level for at least 10 years.

Most of this players tagged World Class are top quality players, not World class.

Even Van Dijk isn't. He is a top quality player. If he continues with this form for at least a decade, then we can tag him and the others World class.

Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Xabi Alonso, Ribery, Robben etc. Players who dominated the game for a decade or more. That is playing at the highest level for a long time.

With this, Aubameyang and the others are not World Class players. Certainly, top quality.

When you say a facility is "world Class" what does it mean? undecided

Highest standard. However, when it comes to judging footballers, a season wonder is not enough to class him in the league of World class players like Scholes, Giggs, Henry etc.

He looks brilliant and tactically sound. However, I wish we saw more of his ability on the ball. Either way, looks so promising.

I wonder where you got that from.

Hazard is World Class and has been a class act since 2008 until today.

Neymar from 2010 he was a class act. By 2011, he was the best player in the whole South America and is a class act until today.

So, Neymar, (All though I will wait until the end of next season but clearly World class) same with Hazard.

Mbappe, Salah and Mane, not yet. Top quality players, yes but not World class.
