Why are you Nigerians so quick to discard your players?
So, we now compare Mikel with Ronaldo and Messi.

Surprise
Inclusion In Top
Five Performers
The Super Eagles of Nigeria
have been training in Asaba
ahead of their participation at
the next Africa Cup of Nations in
Egypt and Owngoalnigeria.com
picks five players who have so
far impressed in the three
sessions the team have had so
far.
1. Victor Osimhen – He has
carried his form from Belgium to
the camp of the Super Eagles of
Nigeria. In the three training
sessions the team have had so
far, the forward has maintained
his sharpness level which is the
highest among the strikers in
the camp of the team.
2. Moses Simon – No doubt he
is fired up for this one. The way
he was gliding past his markers
with ease was the main
highlight of his game during the
session. He took it a step
forward with his pin point
delivery when in space and even
in tight spaces.
3. Samuel Chukwueze – No way
is he not going to make the
squad for AFCON 2019. He was
not just sharp and lively but
also very decisive with the ball
at his feet. Another side of his
game he appears to have
worked on is defending as he
won so many balls for his team.

4. Leon Balogun – Despite his
limited game time at Brighton
and Hove Albion he looked very
fit and sharp. During the
session he got his interceptions
and tackles right and didn’t tire
out as expected. The personal
training he had has kept him in
shape for this.
5. Kelechi Iheanacho – Many
criticised his inclusion in the
squad of players for the
tournament, no thanks to his
poor form and lack of game time
at English Premier League side
Leicester City. That appears to
have zero effect on his
performance as he was very
clinical during the shooting
drills and the 5-aside game they
played. He scored with almost
all of his efforts.

Go Super Eagles!!!

corruption has eaten deep into the roots of this nation. Now talented players who deserves it cannot make a team because they cannot pay "acceptance fee" while we have kunu sellers like Tijani leading our lines. That guy doesn't deserved to wear any green cloth.....even if na green ankara or suit....eye sore!

That Soto US guy is on fire!

But someone here said US players can't make Nigeria age grade teams.

If Lateef Omidiji can make US team, he can as well easily make Nigeria's team.

Guys, should we not be expecting more poor showing from the national teams? Corruption is fighting back at us. Why should players for the national teams not selected on merit rather on "who you know or cash & carry basis". See players protesting seriously over unpaid bonus & allowances. The only country so to speak of all the countries in Poland. It is really a disgrace from our FA! The guys must have seen this as leverage against the FA for the bribes allegedly paid to make the team. Just too sad.

Corruption also exist in the SE.

Why ate you guys quick to compare Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe et al to Nigerian players. Where is the wisdom in that? Which of our players are at their level currently? Its a misnomer comparing Mikel to either of them. And as for the younger ones like chukwueze, onuachu, Osimhen etc. They have potential but they aren't there her

See how the Malians are balling. They have matched the Argentines in all aspect.

It seems the best players have left the shore of our land.they've got a good goalkeeper and a master set piece taker in Koita...

One of Mali and Senegal might end up lifting this trophy.

Shame we paraded a poor squad.

Let me enjoy the second half jare

Please guys, can anyone pair two teams for the Super Eagles in a 11 vs 11, with all the players in their normal position. Because its one of the u20's coach shortcoming. Using players in wrong position. For example, the rightback is a DM in his club. And he had no solid rightback substitute for him in the team.
