ChrisKels: All Yorubas in Benin Republic and Togoland migrated from towns and cities in the current Nigeria. Most of them still have connection with their kith in those cities and towns. All they need to do to get Nigeria's passport is to get a letter from their local government with the help of their kith. For your information, those from both Nigeria and Cameroun crosses with ease across the the borders because they still have relatives either on both sides since they are from the same tribes. I also got to know about this when I interacted with a Cameroonian this year. Besides, you can still be a Nigerian while you live in Bakassi by the virtue of the green tree agreement hence a child born in Bakassi after the ceding is a Nigerian by the virtue of his father or mother who still lay claim to being Nigerian. 1 Like 1 Share |

safarigirl: You see what I'm saying? Most countries in this Turney can use Chukwueze and Oyenkuru alone to win this cup. But here a man is hidding his best and most skillful players on the bench just because he feels they show-off too much. My love for this man died after we lost to Madagascar. I mean, just fantasize a starting eleven with chucks and onyekuru on both wings Glory hallelujah. I'm done with Rohr 2 Likes |

But I hope we play 2 strikers today. Ighalo and Musa. I wanted Osimhen to start before but I think it's better he comes in as a substitute. |

forgiveness: Now that makes more sense. * The land ain't theirs. They are migrants and some of them can still trace their roots back to Nigeria. That's a point bro. * Their kiths are still here in Nigeria and the bond is still as strong. Another big point Bottom line, they are not originally Beninoise. Thanks for the info. Please is their population figure available and what variant of Yoruba do they speak? |

Ighalo will most likely start. No way will Musa and Chukwueze be paired upfront vs a towering and physical Cameroun defence. No way and not now at least. If Rohr plans to play a similar team to the one that beat Cameroun 4-0 in Uyo and drew them 1-1 in Yaounde, then the absentees will be about 7 in number: Onazi (not in 23), Mikel (injured), Ezenwa (bench role), Victor Moses (retired), Shehu (injured), Echiejile(discarded) and one of the Oyibo wall (bench role). The only guys that started that 4-0 game that can start today are Ndidi, Simon Moses, Ighalo and One of the Oyibo wall. zayyadidris: 1 Like |

Despite being obvious favourites for this one, the bookies are not leaving anything to chance and I get their pessimism... Rohr has not been the most tactically flexible of coaches.. Not forgetting the fact that most often than not, his decision making as regards player selection leaves much to be desired.... Notwithstanding, despite all his flaws and seemingly stubborn demeanour, we cannot deny the fact that this present crop of eagles are the best assembled in recent years... Only if he can bring his scouting, organisation, and man management skills to bear consistently on the field of play.. With all due respect to Cameroon, we are not on the same level and I expect a first half win here.. They need to win I get it, but we need it more and we have the BETTER tools and adequate personel to grind out a convincing win here... what am unsure of is the MENTALITY OUR COACH WILL COME TO THE GAME WITH as that will affect his player selections BEFORE, AND DURING THE COURSE OF THE GAME.... I am optimistic and I expect a win here,, the players are hungry, but the Coach has the final say... |

ChrisKels: * The towns and cities were founded and built by them. So it's theirs though they migrated from here. e.g Ketu in Benin Republic was founded by them. * Nobody was originally Beninoise or Nigerian. * The ones in Togo told me they speak Ife while the ones in Benin Republic call it Yoruba. * They make up 17.6% of the population of Benin Republic which makes them the second largest group. In Togo, they are 210,000 out of 7.9m population. |
