Me too oo.. Those South Africans (players, coaching crew and fans) know Akpeyi like the back of their hand... They know how jittery he is . even the fans of his club are happy he is our first choice....
They will try and put pressure on our defence so Akpeyi will commit mistakes...

Make we start Ezenwa abeg..

You are right.

Akpeyi is already a Jittery GK.

He is aware they know his weaknesses and he (Akpeyi) make take his nervousness to another level

in keshi's team we had players who were steady hit in the ucl and uel. the likes of musa, efe, emenike, moses, mikel, onazi, echiejile, enyeama, ike uche etc were steady performers in europes biggest club competitions which are the ucl and uel.

in the current super eagles can you boast of such quality anymore?
Didn't you notice the guy finally found that we had the lamp shining on his lowered pant? See how he started evading grin

There's nothing these guy's won't bring up to make themselves (no be us) look bad

It was after the afcon

Evading now? grin
You were told there's no such luxury in a competition, but you brought your usual weak argument of time.

Now, some NT all over the world have had coaches for a good period of time, name one NT that has experimented with such fantasies.

grin knowing you, you'd tactically retreat into other ramblings

Their selective amnesia has taken over. Making it look like the 2013 set were anything as bad as the Zambians of 2012

You dey mind dem. Though some big players were still dropped from the team.

I confess that it would be nice to play attacking football

E.g. Brazil, Holland, Portugal (more balanced offensively and defensively), Mexico et al

However, we must also commend Rohr for stabilizing the defence a little bit. Although, I am no fan of his and wouldn't want him with the team for much longer, you have got to agree that our defence has gotten better under him

Akpeyi has been playing in South Africa for 4 years now.. Almost every player in that South Africa team has played against (and with) him..
It's a well known fact that he is jittery... He has been saved by our defence this tournament... There's no way Ezenwa is worse...

If u wanna know how much the South Africans know about him, visit these pages on Facebook
Soccer Laduma ... Bafana Bafana South Africa and SAFA.net ...They are talking about him there....

Nobody says Ezenwa is error proof but just as a precaution, it seems wiser to start a more confident Ezenwa in goal than a Jittery Akpeyi who also plies his trade in the SA league.

Yet, with his crappy players he got to second round of the world cup and won the nations cup . However, Rohr, with all the ballers he parade his team cant play simple passes....Now, who is better?

I have recently seen replays of some of our matches at the 2013 afcon, all the group matches and the final menh to be honest our play was crappy.

Akpeyi as GK should be considered as a blessing. Akpeyi is also very familiar with their style of play because he plays there. Why can't you think positively.

Setting up the team in a conservative manner is no way stabilizing the defence. Stabilizing the defence is to be able to attack and still keep it tidy at the back. Not sitting deep and making it look like if we are doing something extraordinary.

I am not evading anything. Your question does not add up on any way. Lots of teams have gone past playing conservatively in the manner we do. So I wonder why you are asking the question.

So the question is, are you saying all National teams play in a conservative manner? Let me get your reasoning for the question.

You have a point but as GK, there is little he can do from his knowledge of how they play unless he shares the tactics with the coach (Rohr)

azin He tire me.....how about we turn the table and infer Akpeyi should snitch in them, their players, coach entire modus operandi....if you think they know about Akpeyi's weakness, don't you think Akpeyi might have one or two on them also which is a plus for us....but no y'all won't think like that....only Akpeyi get weakness, Dem be Superman....

Senegalese attacked Nigerians/Nigerian property in Senegal because of this game.

Aghahowa also became a household name in Senegal till today because of this game.

They got a revenge in 2002 CAN sha. Another game that pained me. Worse, they finihed with 10 men and still defeated us.

Ok Good

Akpeyi sharing tactics with Rohr: Advantage No 1

Rohr starting Ezenwa who is quite unknown to the SA unlike Akpeyi: Double Advantage

You see what I mean now? cool
