If you want to start from somewhere start by signing young talents not has beens

A club signing 35yr old former star is going down instead of moving up, ask QPR
Yet they've come 2nd in the last two seasons? They're clearly doing something right.

Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen continued his brilliant start at Lille, scoring his third and fourth goal of the season in a French Ligue 1 match against Saint-Etienne on Wednesday.

The 20-year-old started from the bench but came on for injured Loic Remy in 19th minute.

He gave his side the lead in the 37th after receiving the ball from Domagoj Bradarić.

Lille doubled their lead in the 69th minute as Jonathan Bamba scored from the spot.

Osimhen recorded his second goal of the night as he put the ball into Stéphane Ruffier's net in the 74th minute after an assist from çelik.

It ended 3-0 in favor of the home team and fans across the world took to Twitter to shower praise on Osimhen's goalscoring prowess. Here are some of their comments:

@MarcClimpson: "#footballindex That Osimhen is a proper player. Both feet and a real threat in the air. Taking up good positions and will score lots this season. Loic Remy off injured too".

@oliegend: "Victor Osimhen is the real GOAT".

@DieLigt : "Osimhen goal! 3rd in 3 matches. starting spot should be his next week".

@Predictionhq: "He's Done It Again Victor Osimhen comes off the bench in the first half to put @LOSC_EN in front of @ASSE_english Behold Your New King @Ligue1_ENG"

@Samdoe22: "Victor Osimhen scoring? Water is wet."

@freehitZ: "Who needs Pepe when You've Got Osimhen ?"

@iamOkon: "As predicted. Victor Osimhen puts Lille ahead and goes ahead to dance Shaku Shaku. Beast form! 3rd goal of the season. #Ligue1".

@MikeThePundit: "Victor Osimhen strike once more. This time, it's against St Etienne. Baller."

@Jollofricejim: "God is Good. Victor Osimhen has found his level and its the French Ligue 1."

@PoojaMedia: "Victor Osimhen is lighting up Ligue 1."

@FABIANOFLAGOS: "Osimhen with 3 goals in 3 matches. He is definitely going to light up the Uber eats league this season"

@Gibney_A: "Victor Osimhen has no right to score this. What a joy it's going to be to watch him this season. I'm in love #losc ".

@deejayfaremi: "Another goal for Victor Osimhen ! It's his world and we are all living in it. #LOSCLive".

@ZachLowy: "That's 4 goals in 3 games for Victor Osimhen at Lille. With Odion Ighalo retiring from international football, Nigeria couldn't have asked for a better successor."

Atletico feed their strikers

That would not be a bad place for him

Good...Lille have some quality in the midfield...Yacidi or what, then Ikone the warrior, then Bamba...their only problem is THEY ARE NOT PASSING TO OSIMHEN WHEN HE MAKE A DASH AND THERE IS SPACE IN FRONT OF HIM...They cut the fuel.....if not... goooosh.... i watched the match till the end...When Osimhen begins to run into space...instead of passing in front of him....they pass sideways..a lot of passing goes on in that midfield...but LILLE IS A QUALITY TEAM FULL OF YOUNG LIONS

If he's the main striker that means he's consistent

We lack consistent strikers at the moment

So many 33/34/35 years old will beit quality to many teams

Hope you saw how inter Milan fought to buy Dzeko but it didn't work out

Hope you saw what 35 year old huntelaar brought to the Ajax team last season

Leave age ,you can't tell me Ajax is not ambitious by mixing old and young

Clichy was not bought when he was 35

Clichy rejected many offers from Epl before he joined that club ,you your self know clichy will not lack teams in the Epl

The team have no ambition according to you but they always have done better than ambitious fenerbache and others who have younger players ,so please define ambition for me ?

I will rather have a team with old players that will do well in the league than a younger team

Sarri of juventus is still playing his old man defenders ahead of a 20 year old de ligt

A certain Arsenal wenger won't buy a Christian Ronaldo for 100 million ,he will rather go for younger players ,that's why he hardly won trophies .

Spanish Laliga side Leganes now have three Nigerians on their books after beating their rivals to the signing of Nigeria U20 star Success Makanjuola, Owngoalnigeria.com understands.

Scouts from the Laliga side have been monitoring his performance at the ongoing Africa Games where Nigeria are through to the final and after yesterday’s game they official approached his team and an agreement was reached.

Makanjuola will have his medical in Morocco with the club set to announce his signing later today to swell the number of Nigerians at the club to three with the duo of Kenneth Omeruo and Chidozie Awaziem completing the list.

The Water FC starlet has so far impressed for Nigeria at the Africa Games following up his performance at the U20 World Youth Championship in Poland where he stood out for the Nigerian team that crashed out at the round of 16.

A five year deal that will see the former Nigeria U17 player start from the B team of the club before making the step up to the first team will be made official in the coming hours.

Nice move for Success, he has the attitude..

I don't really think it's a good move for Awaziem though.

We (incl I) may not like Rhor's style but it's been getting us result. I love attacking football but an all attack team is not good. Balance is the keyword.

In actual fact, I don't think we were very poor at the world cup. We lost to a better Croatia. We lost to Argentina bacause the coach delayed making changes and because an overhyped Moses refused to follow the scorer - I think Rojo. We won Iceland.
Bottom line is that we didn't match our previous record at the world cup and we didn't play quality football to savour even if we didn't get the results.
Don't forget we lost to Madagascar ranked outside the top 100. It's not like we were on a roll with the limp footie.
