Bros Bascovanveli, Is Imama a hater for this statement? Does he hate our league players too?

"It is a difficult thing for Nigerian players; based in the Country, to interpret tactics and formation, with due respect even some of the Coaches in the league don't understand tactics and formation, so how do you give what you don't have."

- Imama Amapakabo, Coach

I have said this for the longest time that our problem was coaching so what are you talking about? Time without number I have said we don't have many good coaches in the league but you were so busy trying to win an argument to comprehend what I was saying I guess

I questioned the coach for not inviting his best players not Nwakali. Nwakali was not and is still not active so he wasn't even among those i was referring to.

But when word got out that he was joining the team you queried the coach for not inviting him in the first place. Right or wrong?

You have said that but Imama is also saying that the players themselves lack the ability to interpret tactics and formation. Imama has trained these boys for weeks so he is essentially saying they are not absorbing or intepreting his lessons correctly. Does Imama hate local players for saying that?

I am simply reiterating what i have said before. I could care less about winning an argument.

You make things personal by assuming someone is a "hater" because you disagree with them. At the end of the day, i believe we all want the best for the team regardless of our viewpoints.

I questioned the fire brigade approach of bringing players in after a loss. Orji and Okereke could not join up as a result.

LIONEL MESSI IS THE FIFA PLAYER OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so happy with the award. Placing Van Dijk over Messi was a joke taken too far.

Read Prachi Kumari's points on Quora.

Van Djik wasn’t better than Messi.

People argue that one is a centre back and the other is just opposite- how can you even compare them? Well just read along, and I will let you decide.

So Virgil Van Djik had the best season as a defender in EPL?

28th in the most blocks list
58th in the most interception list
129th in the most tackles list
7th in both the most clearances and headed clearances list
8th in most aerial duels won

Now you know James Torowski? He tops for the most blocks, ahead than VVD in interceptions, much ahead of VVD in tackles (71 as compared to 38), 36 more clearances than VVD- James is 2nd, 26 more headed clearances than VVD-James is 2nd but 12 less aerial battles won than VVD.

Now you know Ben Mee? 2nd on the most blocks, even ahead than James in interceptions, has 54 tackles as compared to 38 of VVD, 3rd in both most clearances and headed clearances list.

Now for last, there is Shane Duffy. Shane is 3rd in the most blocks list, 4 less interceptions and 3 less tackles than VVD but tops the list for most clearances and most headed clearances. Shane has 6 more aerial battles won.

People are all like- “Hey but he was never dribbled past!” To be frank, it is because of his style of play. He remains back most of the time waiting to clear the ball or waits for another defender to tackle so that he could clear the ball. Not to forget VVD was in a team which had the best goalkeeper in Allison and the best right back in Alexander.

Even in the Champions League, Liverpool conceeded 12 goals! Teams to have conceeded more include Athens, Ajax, Hoffenheim, Lyon, Monaco, PSV, Porto, Red Star, Schalke, Shakhtar and Tottenham. So amongst the top teams, Liverpool conceeded the 2nd most number of goals.

Another from Prachi Kumari

Van Dijk won the Champions League, right? So did Allison. He was the runner up in the Nations League? Allison won the Copa America. Van Djik won the PFA Player of the year award? Allison became the first goal-keeper in the history to win all three golden gloves in a season.

In all sincerity, Allison should have won it

He achieved for club and country, but football is rigged against goalies, so.....

Imama that just finished coaching U23 coached the CHAN team for weeks? Imama should look in the mirror before anything else. This much I said after the game.

You don't care about this team so cut the crap. All u care about is saying"I told you they were not good enough" but who is fighting to get anyone on the team? You don't care about this team o

Messi did nothing for Argentina in the same calendar year

If FIFA does not rate the international stage, they should tell us, there is no reason why people should give their all for club and country, only to have someone who only shows up for his club, win their awards.

Players should seize showing up for international engagements, as it holds no importance when it comes down to it

My question is why not Mane? He should have won the award. They only start talking about goalkeepers and defenders when African strikers are involved. Put Ronaldo on Liverpool and give him mane's stats and I bet he would be world best.

this makes no sense and has no relationship to the FIFA award.

EPL is just one competition, the FIFA Award is not or should not be limited to one competition.

Individual performance in what respect? Is it for just club or club and country?

Case closed indeed.

No player came close to Messi in terms of individual performance. To score 51 goals in 49 games no b beans ooo. Coupled with him playing as a playmaker and delivering 20+ assist in all competition. Fear God!!!

Why do the Algerian communities in France hate France so much?

NB: This is why French players of Algerian descent always put Algeria first before France.

TheSupernerd, icon4s, tbaba1234, elyte89, Komekn, junnyjake, TheGoodJoe et al

Algeria had a bitter fight to independence in 1962. They were the last of their subregion to gain independence. They suffered heavy casulties. Although Western Sahara is still being colonised by Morocco after the Spaniards pulled out from that territory.

However, France has maintained a good relationship with it's ex-colonies, Algeria inclusive.

What impressed me most about Messi was that, besides scoring lots of goals, he capped some of his best performances with some magical goals. Like the free kick against Liverpool and the stunner goal against Real Betis.
