Very clear sir.

However my argument on this issue has always been against underestimating the devastative effects of this virus which is being reflected in the people and in the slow reactions of the government.

My brother, here we work with sciences. I have been trying to explain that the spread of this virus obeys the classical bell (Gaussian) curve, meaning ideally the cases will increases very fast geometrically before it evens out.

However, we can bring down the peak of the incidence of the virus by applying strategic scientific procedures.

I said earlier, shut down the airports, now they eventually realize this.

I was telling Danielnino00 a few days back that Lagos is a hot spot for this virus but he didn't think it was that serious.

By now I expect the government to shut down Lagos and roll out some beneficial relief measures to those who will be badly affected financially.

I have faith and I believe that there will be no serious occurrence of the disease in Nigeria. I however want everyone to take it seriously and take precautions effectively.

Peace my brother.

But lagos airport have been shutted down nah

it is difficult to say a country citizens should not come back into the country.

For the woman who went to Benin that is an example of the irresponsible behaviour I spoke about. She came back from Italy where they are seriously battling this thing and she thought it was a good idea to hop on a bus when she should have isolated herself? The only thing I blame the government for is not using the military and other security agencies to enforce this self-isolation because some Nigerians just refuse to have sense

are you for real....so that's the only thing you blamed the government for? ??
you mean this irresponsible government?

how will see quarantine herself are there quarantine centres? to accomodate the large number of influx daily

don't you know that there is an incubation period the carrier won't even know he or she is positive

the government is to be blamed... how about America shutting down flights from Europe... even if her citizens are there...they should remain there for the time being

does it mean they're not loved No...

this government lack the intellectual competence to govern

yesterday some one complained of his friend returning from the UK and there was no one to test him at the airport

does that speak of a responsible governemt to you
why can't you guys just say it..
that the government irresponsible behaviour contributed to this state

below picture is onitsha main market as at today

You want self isolation ba ?

Will the government provide food its citizen?

Hope you know many people in this country is living from hand to mouth?

Bro stop saying what you don’t know. No country would shut down it's border against it’s citizens. Yes in USA an indigene can come in but foreigner, NO
Humility017:

just imagine what you wrote

does the virus spreads with nationality sterotype
why can't this folks stay where there...besides many who are bringing it in now are Nigerians whom I believe contacts this at the airport

in Italy for now my cousin told me you can't fly in
can the Americans in Europe notably Italy fly into the USA at this critical hour??

besides why were there no health personnel to test/screen them at the airport

Hope you can see your president wife asking for a total lock down? e don forget day many nigerians dey live from hand to mouth, not that they are even willing to provide for the citizens, so make people just sitdown inside house and nothing to eat?

Even our stupid president had to wait for his daughter to return from the UK before they lock down the airport, they better go and test her but they refuse and they are isolating her somewhere we dont even know

You can see that atiku ordered his son to be tested, he even sent security to go and get his son, even his son family has been tested negative while atiku son positive earlier, but same cant be said of buhari

Stupid country

This one go hard sha
not hard.

Impossible

Most people think Lagos is Milan.

People that can only feed on what they make each day, no savings, nothing. Let God help them.

They will need to enforce such a law with police, and I can assure you that the police willll not be everywhere. So, those low income households, will maneuver their way through such. Imagine somewhere like Makoko on lock down.

Let us see how far it will go.

I cannot sha waste my stress on top this Corona virus. The theory of natural selection will apply, if you survive it, you survive it. Upon all the restrictions Italy put up, they are still recording hundreds of new cases.

AllforJesus, I hope you are now happy and fulfilled in life, since you have been stalking me for my opinion. Drink water and rest

so you know this things

it really baffles me the way you and some persons here were defending a government that could expose his people to this kind of risks

it is so unfortunate even Kaduna state governor seems to have more sense than the senile old man inside aso rock

the wife even have more sense than him...you too given the support and opportunity you'll rule better than the old man that know nothing about contemporary governance.

So, now that you have finished crying on Nairaland Sports Section, has the country been placed on lock down?

When you live in Nigeria, you have no business panicking. Just dey your dey, anything that happens, happens.

If you have been in Nigeria for over twenty years, you should know that panicking cannot help you in this country. Do your own part and hope those around you do theirs, no be to dey monitor government wey no send you.

The only good thing is that the elite will be as hard hit as the rest of the country, and since a large number of them are old, let us allow the theory of Natural selection occur.

35 cases now.

Still believe Nigeria was doing something better?

The number of confirmed cases may rise to 100 before the end of this week... It is inevitable.. The infected people are already in the country before the airspace were closed .. the best we can do now is to adhere to all protective protocols the government may impose...
Cooperation of every individual across the world will be key to fighting this epidemic...

PS: I never said Nigeria was doing something different... I said the relevant authorities have been doing quite well... Given that the number of infected case in the country isn't as high as some countries that for the virus later than us

to be fair a lot of people in government haven't underestimated the danger of this virus. Unfortunately a lot of our returnees including politicians celebrities religious leaders and so called educated people are just behaving irresponsibly. I mean what is so difficult in staying in your house for 14 days?

This excatly,is the issue... Some people aren't ready to obey the law... They are being selfish.... I saw a news report a few days back about hundreds of Australians on the beach catching fun despite their government advises to stay at home.... If there's an outbreak now, they will blame their government!..
If people aren't willing to cooperate with their government during this period,I'm afraid we are in trouble!
