Exclusive: Nigeria Coach Rohr To Run The Rule Over Dele Alampasu In France Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr will start running the rule over Cesarense goalkeeper Dele Alampasu in Corsica on May 24. The former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles netminder is among the foreign-based professionals named in the provisional squad for the training camp in France. Alampasu has yet to debut for the senior national team but has been invited to the squad in the past, most recently for the World Cup qualifier against Algeria in Uyo. The 20-year-old was a non-playing substitute against the North Africans, with Chippa United's Daniel Akpeyi getting the nod of Rohr and goalkeeper coach Alloy Agwu. Wolves star Carl Ikeme is in a race against the clock to be fit for the African Cup of Nations qualifier against the South Africans, bearing it in mind that he has missed the last eight matches contested by the Championship team. **Ifeanyi Emmanuel Source: http://allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=22894 1 Like |

TheSuperNerd: That is my view too. And as I have said before he is my 2nd choice striker after Iheanacho. He's got eyes for goals but not as talented as Iheanacho. Besides also he has got plenty of game time in his bag. *Winks* 1 Like |

Exclusive: Success, Osimhen Handed Another Opportunity To Make Competitive Nigeria Debut Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that ex-Golden Eaglets sensation Isaac Success and Victor Osimhen have been handed another opportunity to make their competitive international debut for the Super Eagles. Both strikers are among the 19 foreign-based professionals called up to attend a training camp in Corsica, France, starting from May 24, ahead of the African Cup of Nations qualifying match against South Africa. Watford wonderkid Isaac Success made his long-awaited international debut for Nigeria's senior national team when he was introduced in the 61st minute of their 1-1 draw with Senegal at the Hive Stadium last month. His international bow might have come against Zambia six months ago, but he pulled out of the squad at the last minute citing injury. As for Osimhen, the Wolfsburg starlet was first invited to the Super Eagles squad for their African Cup of Nations qualifier against Tanzania but didn't make his debut. **Ifeanyi Emmanuel Source: http://allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=22896 2 Likes |

Hmmmm..... well time will tell..... .......................................................................................................... Exclusive: Austria Vienna Striker Kayode Left Out Of Nigeria Squad For AFCON Qualifier Vs South Africa Austria Vienna striker Olarenwaju Kayode will not train with the national team in Corsica this coming month ahead of the African Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa in June, barring any last minute changes. The former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles star may be in the form of his life but this has not impressed manager Gernot Rohr and his assistants one bit. Kayode and his camp embarked on a media campaign after he was left out of the Super Eagles squad for the international friendly against Senegal in March, before he was handed a late call-up by the Nigerian Federation just to keep the peace. The 23-year-old failed to justify his invitation during the training sessions and the match on March 23 against the West Africans, and has been omitted from the latest roster. He tallied his 19th and 20th goal of the season in Austria Vienna's 4-1 rout of Sturm Graz on Saturday. **Ifeanyi Emmanuel Source: http://allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=22893 1 Like |

terzurum5: Haha haha I never rated Ighalo highly. please find out. I never saw him as 'goals king apparent'. To the surprise of many I tagged him as a flash in the pan even in the season he scored 14 goals in the EPL. In that 2015-2016 he was ahead of Iheanacho for obvious reasons. That's all. 2 Likes |

TheSuperNerd, In your post, it seems that Osimhen will be invited to the SE camp. I am perplexed a player who hasn't played a competitive game for Wolfsburg and is returning / recovering from Injury. What is Rohr's criteria I don't want to believe that his preference for all things Dutch/ German is at work. All coaches at one time or the other will be subjectively sentimental. Just like Moyes liked possibly the lowest achieving player in Everton, Phil Neville no matter how poor his performances were. Are we devoid of options that we now rely on past glories and hopeful potential. 1 Like |

(Photo) – Nigerian Forward Moses John Makes Match Winning Debut For FC Porto FC Porto Nigerian forward Moses Agoh John played his first official game for FC Porto U-19 in their 4-0 win over their FC Braga counterparts in the Portuguese youth league. John was introduced in the 70th minute in place of Xavi, for his first official match for the U19s since his move to the Portuguese giants in the summer from Mutunchi Academy. Kaduna born John was recommended to the Portuguese outfit by one of their scouts, who watched the forward during a scouting tournament organised by Geelec Football Academy. Since joining the team he has only featured in friendly games, and despite making their squad for the UEFA youth league, he failed to make a single appearance for them. His future at the club is equally in doubt, as exclusive reports gathered by Owngoalnigeria.com has it that Porto will let go of some of the foreign players on their books in the summer. **Daniel Martins Source: http://owngoalnigeria.com/2017/04/30/photo-nigerian-forward-moses-john-makes-match-winning-debut-for-fc-porto/ 1 Like |

Well, first of all... I am not Coach Gernot Rohr. And also, Osimhen is the youngest striker on the list yet to be unveiled. It is important that he is constantly exposed to national team environment. Rohr has eyes on the present as well as the future I believe.... And again.... what options do you suggest if not that Martins will be brought up again and again? You people should leave Rohr to his "sentimentality" abeg.... he hasn't lost a game with such "sentimentality" just yet.... And the team is bonding just fine. When Keshi took an Obiorah Nwankwo, Nosa Igiebor, Sunday MBA, Egwuekwe, and even an Agbim to Afcon 2013, sebi he still came back with the trophy? I think Rohr should be left to plan this team and steer the wheel as he pleases... So far he is doing good. But yes... there are other players he should have to look at also which I hope he will do.... But if you talk of martins as regards your "options".... then I must say... " Rohr ride on" komekn: |

Stanley Amuzie Opens Goal Account With Winning Goal For Sampdoria Out of favour Super Eagles left back Stanley Amuzie scored his first goal for the U19 of Serie A side Sampdoria as the Primavera side of the team ran out 2-1 winners over Trapani Amuzie scored the vital winner on the dot of regulation time to hand his team all three points, just when it seems they were going to settle for just one after coming from behind. The goal will no doubt boost the confidence of Amuzie, who aside making the matchday squad for the first team has spent most of his time with the U19, who are campaigning in the Primavera Youth League in Italy. Injuries have also played a part in stifling his progress at the team he rejoined in the summer after a six months stay at Olhanense, from where he represented Nigeria at the Olympic in Rio. Already he has been lined up for a loan move to a team where he will be able to get game time and grow to his full potential that made the club give him a second chance at the club, after picking up a serious injury when he first arrived at the Serie A side. **Daniel Martins Source: http://owngoalnigeria.com/2017/04/30/stanley-amuzie-opens-goal-account-with-winning-goal-for-sampdoria/ 1 Like |

I was only being very open about your points.... You said we should try him and if he fails, we should discard him... Then I asked.... What if such failure as in the "if" costs us a qualifying ticket to either the World Cup or Nations Cup? That is not me being conclusive... that is me being as open as a book on matters like this. Looking at it from all angles as presented in your comments. .............. Bottomline.... Kayode will get his chance again to impress I believe... he did okay in the game against Senegal when he came on. So let us watch and see.... because for now, He is behind in the pecking order in that role in the team. terzurum5: |

Transfer rumor: Liverpool linked with Porto defender, Chidozie Awaziem Jurgen Klopp has decided to go beyond Europe to scout for new talent, as reports emerge of him eyeing Porto’s Nigerian defender Chidozie Awaziem According to a report by The Sun , Jurgen Klopp has his sights set on FC Porto’s 20-year-old central defender Chidozie Awaziem as the transfer window gets closer. The Merseyside club have been tracking the Nigerian player in recent weeks, as Klopp is looking to boost his defence. In the report, it is said that a Liverpool scout contacted Awaziem during Nigeria’s friendly match against Senegal at Barnet, where the defender was an unused sub as both sides drew the match 1-1. Media reports from both Nigeria and Portugal claim that a move to Anfield is likely to be on the cards for the youngster. Although Awaziem’s agent has not confirmed the meet yet, he did mention that it could happen, given the 20-year-old’s potential. Awaziem broke into the Primeira Liga club’s first team last season. He has made 33 league starts for FC Porto’s B team so far this season. The Nigerian international joined Porto way back in 2014 from a club called El-Kameni Warriors, and has made 10 senior appearances for the Portuguese outfit. Porto’s Chidozie Awaziem: Move on the cards to Anfield? (EPA/ESTELA SILVA) Another one of Awaziem’s biggest triumphs is when he featured in the UEFA Youth League, which resulted in a victory over Real Madrid for his team. He also put up an impressive defensive display when Porto played Benfica recently, which is touted as one of their biggest games this season. Liverpool’s defence has not impressed much this season, and as Klopp gears up to take control of the club for the second full season, he is likely to make some changes to the back line. Liverpool have also been linked recently with Mattia De Sciglio , Elsied Hysaj and Ryan Sessegnon . The club recently lost to Crystal Palace 2-1, and will be looking for a victory against Watford as they get ready to fight for a Champions League spot. terzurum5: Bros, even in those friendlies he cannot start ahead of Iheanacho. Except Ihenacho is not fit enough to start. Now, difference between Rohr and his predecessors is Rohr knew his starting 11 just after a few games. He is building a team and he understands that consistency is very vital. We have watched Kayode for many years, Rohr too has watched him. We know he does not have Iheanacho's capabilities. So no need for any experiment. Kayode is in the team already as a second striker. |

Could this be true? ......................................................................................................... World Exclusive – Chelsea Loanee Omeruo Offered To Napoli In Deal For Kalidou Koulibaly On loan Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo has been offered to Napoli by Chelsea as part of their bid to sign Kalidou Koulibaly, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal. Chelsea’s coach is a big fan of the Napoli defender, and tried signing him last summer when he took over as coach of the team, but Napoli were in no mood to sell. However it appears Conte will get his man this summer, after Omeruo was added as a sweetener to the deal, aside the huge amount of money Chelsea are willing to pay as transfer fee for the tough tackling defender. Omeruo a senior international with Nigeria, who was at the last World Cup with Nigeria has spent the last four seasons on loan away from Chelsea, but he has progressed a lot since moving to Turkish side Alanyaspor this summer. Napoli reportedly accepted the Nigerian as part of the deal after positive reports from their scout who watched the 23 year old on behalf of the club last month. A deal is far from been reached between both parties, as talks over transfer fee and other conditions are yet to be agreed on according to Owngoalnigeria.com contacts in Italy. **Daniel Martins Source: http://owngoalnigeria.com/2017/04/30/world-exclusive-chelsea-loanee-omeruo-offered-to-napoli-in-deal-for-kalidou-koulibaly/ 1 Like |
