Blueelf: I have checked his stats for the season and compared it with Collin's. He is no where better than Collins... They are both poor crossers of the ball though, but for some other stats, Collins is better than him... I don't see the point of inviting him if he can't offer something much better than Collins... 2 Likes 1 Share |

Subzero047: I think Musa and Iwobi are decent enough... But when it comes to long accurate crosses, can't think of anybody... Moses's cross to Musa at the world cup was probably the last decent cross a super eagles player ever gave in a match... And it wasn't exactly accurate... 2 Likes |

Starboytwo: Five stars comment. Been following your posts and find it so refreshing. I will do an immediate check on Adli. Think I have watched some of his game but can't remember. By the way, I hope Nwakali gets his mojo back but I hope a young cat comes into the scene with as much swagger as Mikel had as a youngster. We really need a midfield general that will orchestrate our plays. 1 Like |

Blueelf: Ndidi needs to keep working on it but the difference is that the Brazilians are trained from small to influence the game offensively no matter the role they play. It has been there over time from Roberto Carlos having a threatening shooting presence even though he was a left back to the multiple runs of Lucio. You can see the offensive addition Ederson brings to City. It has to do with us changing our orientation to a more possessive and offensive style. |

I will add by saying when the majority can win the league when about 12. to 15 have 50 percent chance of winning the league can the so called first five top leagues in europe boast of this? there are tens of better competitive leagues in the world without money and media courage! there are leagues where one club can't win the league twice in a roll due to the thick competition! media and propoganda eh! |

JayromWrites: Its not that easy. Valencia will crumble under the intensity the epl has .injuries and all inclusive. We love to say they are tactically better than most epl teams but if in epl, they might just struggle with small teams that are bent on tackling hard and rough, plus officiating again. 2 Likes |

somehow:"Competitive" in English football can also include finances... There are more than 10 clubs in the EPL that can spend up to £100m in one transfer market.. and they don't depend on selling their players to raise money like it's done in some leagues.. 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe: You are looking at football from one perspective the Spanish style of football. Things have moved on you are being too nostalgic. A style that sees only two teams dominate in thier league consistently. But two teams with the best 2 players in the world. Take out Messi from Barcelona and l tell you they will not have the same over riding dominance. Look at Real M.since Ronaldo left and they are not the same. Most top quality teams are not entirely reliant on just one player. Now to mitigate against the technical possession game of Barcelona. You simply bring in pace, more physicality and go more direct. And don't worry about possession. Chelsea did it with Drogba. Football has moved on and spending time on the ball with possession only is no longer the killer tactic. Pep has evolved the system with what he has done at Bayern and Man city. Liverpool did it and gave Barcelona a football lesson with a crazy defeat right in thier backyard. If it worked Carzola would still be in Arsenal but he has dropped to insignificance in Villareal. The system also requires that everyone plays the same way. Look at Seria A and see what the combination of speed, technical ability with physicality has done for Lukaku at Inter. Although for me irrespective of the league Lukaku is a proven tested World class striker. Paul Scholes would not find it easy now the game has changed. Midfielder are box to box and they score goals. Even with that you are still very wrong and not being balanced with regards to English players. Let's look at the current young English midfielder who are killing it. Mason Mount, Maddison, Winks, Grealish, Ruben Loftus, Barkley, Bamidele Alli, Todd Cantwell, etc to name just a few. These players will walk into any top club in Europe. So again you seem to be out of touch with times the game has changed. Look at Liverpool where the Wing backs are recording more assists and even goals than top midfielders in the top leagues. You need to drink the new wine, you are still drinking old Wine. De Bruyne does not waist time doing skills and never ending possession football. But is arguably the best attacking midfielder in the world, look at his END PRODUCT assists and goals. 2 Likes |

Blueelf: sheyishemba: I think Liefering is a feeder club of RB Salzburg, when they get a youth player he will start from Liefering before moving to RB Salzburg, after that if he is really good he can move to RB Liebzig another club owned by the Red Bull Company. I think that might be the pathway of Tijani, but I just hope he starts from RB Salzburg, instead of their feeder club 1 Like |
