charlesemeka85:
Indian Super League side Jamshedpur have officially announced the signing of Nigeria international Stephen Eze on undisclosed terms.

The former Sunshine Stars and Ifeanyi Ubah star arrives Jamshedpur as a free agent after mutually terminating his contract with Tobol in July 2020.

Eze will be hoping to get his career back on track after missing the whole of the 2020 season due to an injury he suffered in a pre-season friendly and he had to undergo surgery three months ago.

The giant center back admitted that former Bolton Wanderers, Wigan Athletic and Blackburn Rovers coach Owen Coyle convinced him to join Jamshedpur.

"Owen Coyle is a top football manager who I have followed since my childhood when he was with Burnley, Bolton Wanderers and Wigan in the English Premier League," said Eze to the official website of Jamshedpur.

"I look up to him and was elated at the prospects when this opportunity presented. He is clear in his vision and that made my decision easy."

Eze has been allocated the number 66 jersey for the upcoming Indian Super League season.

Indian Super League lmao

True. And that would lead to him battling for his place soon enough in the NT. The expected acquisitions of Ejaria, Onomah means serious competition beckons.

Then the rejuvenated rise of Nwakali could even see Aribo tried out as a #10. This is if Nwakali breaks through and is then slotted into the CM role.

The more midfield options we have especially at CM will provide us with a few options to tinker with at AM to keep Iwobi on his toes and if one of such tinkerings clicks like magic... Then Iwobi could be facing NT benchtime.

Anyway, in the end, I am just juggling different scenarios in the event of Iwobi losing his place at Everton and in the event of the other options rising good but I believe he will be fine. I don't see Carlo bringing in a winger... Honestly I don't see him doing it b'cos I also don't want him to do it. grin

Iwobi is a starter in the NT and I hope that pushes him further to fight to keep his place in the Everton XI.

He should indeed watch his back.

Danielnino00:

Iwobi really needs to watch his back..

If indeed Everton get a winger, then it could be over for him...
I really hope not...

Peter Olawale (little Ronaldo) one of our u-17 2019 set has been featured on goal.com's next gen.
That is something serious as a lot of well-rated players like Salzburg's Karim Adeyemi have been featured in it.
Is this boy that good? Is he Nigeria's version of Ronaldo or he is just another Chrisantus Macaulay (wasted talent)
only time will tell

The boy can use both feet. He is predominantly left footed but his first Hapoel Ranana goal was a cracker with his right foot. Lad is really good but let us watch him grow.

We truly have a lot of options in midfield at the moment...it's an exciting time compared to those days when it was mostly DMs we had available..

Anyway,it's almost sure that Rohr will still with the regular old heads for next month game... By November,we will see who will be fighting for his spot...

messi is different even though i may prefer CR7 and troll him from time to time i cannot deny his greatness 6 time world player of the year, 3 time UCL winning top scorer awards left and right almost on a regular. with Argentina at least he has gotten to 3 international finals.

I've never disputed that Lewandoski is world class but their are levels to this thing. some players are better than others and whether we like it or not their trophy cabinet will indicate how great they were.

The point is not that they are not world class, it is your using their international careers as a yardstick in ranking them or putting them in levels. You cannot expect Neymar that plays for Brazil to have a better international career than Lewandowski of Poland or Aubameyang that plays for Gabon to have a better international career than Osimhen that plays for Nigeria

This talk is dust sha.

So Totti is not class because he never left his comfort zone?
Maldini too abi?
Messi also?

smh, I don't know who brought the idea that premiership should be the standard for measuring a players ability. I really don't know.

The fact that players never played in the premiership doesn't mean they're not class!!!

The fact that players don't leave their comfort zone doesn't mean they're not class!!!

Kai, any small thing, premiership. Like sey na there football start and end

Aubameyang despite playing for Gabon once finished as joint top scorer in an AFCON. Gareth Bale inspired a limited Welsh team to the semis of the 2016 Euros so no excuse about quality of national team will fly with me.

Men Football started in England BUT IT WAS NOT PERFECTED IN ENGLAND.
Going down history, Other countries have perfected the beautiful game.
The Brazil world cup team of 1970 is one of the greatest international teams ever.
ALL THE INNOVATIONS OF FOOTBALL ARE NOT FROM ENGLAND.
Read football history and you will know. Italy taught the world how to defend.
Brazil taught the world how to attack. Holland came with total football. Spain tiki-taka. Germany with their German Machine.
England is good but other countries have developed football systems they are now copying.

Ok it's no longer about International Trophies but Semi's, Goals scored in tournaments and whatever works for you cheesy

The quality of a national team is what determines how teams will perform and not a single individual talent

i brought it down to semis and goals scored in tournament to show how influential a player can be. you might be unlucky to not win an international trophy but you must have definitely contributed to your teams little success some way, some how.

sometimes individual talents will bail you out in tight situations. CR7 so many times for Portugal, 1986 no Maradona no Argentina world cup trophy. club football Messi with Barcelona, Aubameyang for Arsenal lately. Even bring it home to Nigeria without Okocha and to some extent Kanu no way would Nigeria have gone past Q/Finals before we start talking bronze.

Players are world class not just because they perform consistently over a period of time but they also deliver when it matters most
