Starboytwo: You perceive the matter as being CONTENTIOUS but why England and Nigeria are not in contention. You have completely gone into a path not in discussion. Let me remind you, core question, why do Nigerian "exceptionally talented youth players" fade away and or don't in commensurate numbers progress to higher levels of the game. And your response is U17 Nigeria will beat England U17. I explained my definition of talent and the limitations of so called talent without nurturing and development. I did not add the issues of age cheating at youth level as a factor. |

Starboytwo: I like to hear this because it is the pure truth. If u are not from West Africa or Brazil u can't talk to me about U17. Cus u might be good once in a blue moon but we are good all seasons. Imagine our last set making the second round of the world cup and still get looked at as failures. A lot of countries would be proud of that result. |

andrewbaba44: All our players get that. When u are not playing these things happen. Iheanacho has dealt with this for 3 seasons now. Balogun, Osimhen, Nwakali even Chukwueze. I think it is more a popularity thing. More people check for these players so when they are not available everybody notices. |

BascoVanVeli: At least we know nacho was struggling for some time then But judging iwobi just because he isnt on the match day squad doesnt make any sense, and to make it worst iwobi wasnt fit ,if iwobi is fit and he hasnt make everyon match day squad for 7 games then thats the time we should be afraid Many people here just follow the bandwagon . |

komekn:They just didn't measure up to the rest that time(or other factors like that of ejaria that took excuse himself because of his education)just like some other 9ja born that later work hard and now doing better than those ones picked e.g ejuke, awaziem, terrim, etc. More so, if the like of yakubu Alfa, osikel, Raphael ademola, etc had the same platform like ovie, ademola lookman and others, l believe they will be balling well than them. 1 Like |

andrewbaba44:You are missing the gist! Ancelloti is trying to build his own team at Everton, and there's a possibility that Iwobi may not be part of it... Making the match day squad is one thing, playing games is another.. This has nothing to do with love or hate..just the truth! ..Iwobi is terribly inconsistent! ..that has been his biggest undoing! . 2 Likes |

andrewbaba44: A whole season also counts as a while for Alex and add that to the new signings. So when u don't make the match day squad it is obvious to hear concern. I personally think he will soon be out of there. Crystal Palace is a likely destination, been hearing whispers of a Zaha swap(maybe 40m + Iwobi). Palace just signed another winger for 20m so that deal might just be on. |

Dude was below average in his forward passing, good in closing up but short on confidence in that role Ndidi needs to start working on zipping passes on the grass unlike the uncomfortable passes he made mostly in that match. He was not grossly exposed cuz he met a sloppy opposition nairalandankrah: 1 Like |

nelszx: Amd all those bunch of players from Mexico.. IMO, our lack of good football infrastructure is one of the major reasons why a lot of our u-17s waste away... After every u-17 tournament, greedy agents will be lining up to snatch the players to get them deals in Europe that would mostly end up benefiting them and not the players.. 1 Like |

Danielnino00: Things are changing. I believe that the 2019 under17 set will make it. Allready olakunle olusegun is scoring goals in denmark. I think some reforms are being made in the area of agents. Samson Tijani was caught up in Agent problems but he overcame it and went to red bull in a fantastic deal. Things are definately improving |

Osimhen benched for Napoli opener 18 hours ago Gennaro Gattuso will reportedly leave Victor Osimhen on the bench to begin with in Napoli’s Serie A season opener with Parma. The coach was expected to test out his starting XI during a friendly against Sporting CP last night, but that was cancelled at the last minute after the Portuguese team had several COVID-19 positive tests. According to Radio Kiss Kiss, Napoli will initially leave record-breaking signing Osimhen on the bench against Parma on Sunday. Instead, it will be a classic 4-3-3 formation with Dries Mertens flanked by Matteo Politano and Lorenzo Insigne. Osimhen requires more of a 4-2-3-1 system with more players fanning out in support of the Nigerian striker. https://m.allfootballapp.com/amp/news/Serie-A/Osimhen-benched-for-Napoli-opener/2439195 |
