The call for the resignation of the Nigeria Football Federation President, Amaju Pinnick was made by former MP, House committee on Sports Abbass Braimah, Today after the Super Eagles failed to pick a qualification ticket for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.Nigeria have now missed out of two consecutive Afcon since the emergence of Pinnick as FA chief a situation the Abbass described as ” very sad”.

2013 Afcon winning Coach, Stephen Keshi started the campaign but was sacked in 2015 and Sunday Oliseh named as his replacement. The latter quit his role last month before Samson Siasia was recalled from the U-23 Eagles to see the team through the remaining games of the qualifiers.

Abbass criticized the handling of the Eagles coaching job especially the appointment of a coach, ‘ who lacked the wherewithal’. The former MP told footballlive.ng that Pinnick should do the honorable thing and resign for his role in the disastrous record of the Nation’s prided team.
