Hip hop and rap are often used interchangeably. i think what differentiate both is the sound of the beat and the chorus.

hip hop is a culture where one can truly and fully express themselves in anyway they feel and want like dressing, attitude, lifestyle basically self expression while rap is a genre of song where artistes can express themselves with no limitation.
F the new era of cRap music and lil wayne for ushering the dumb musicians in. Now apart from my old dope cds i only got k. Dot, J. Cole, Lloyd banks and feww dope rappers to bump. Deathrow - shady aftermath era (1991- 2007) the best era.
And if you want to laugh your azz out play Eminem's songs, that white chocolate is the funniest rapper ever or Big L.
