House please assist with my request. I am 16 weeks preggy and my EDD is in Nov.

I really want to know when I am supposed to contact the embassy and whether to mention my change in POE.
My hubby and I planned to go on a vacation this month in the States, so we applied for a B1/B2 visa and the Visa was granted. The trip has been cancelled because my hubby has some official business issues to deal with. I am preggy but it was not visible at the time of the Visa interview. We are now thinking of using the visa for birthing. Our POE during the interview is different from the State we are planning to have our baby.
At what point do I need to inform the embassy about our change of intent? Do I need to b this explicit in the mail including the POE change?
Thanks in advance for the assistance.

How many weeks gone are you?[/quote]

Hmmm. Annotation from my understanding means the purpose is limited to a particular thing. Its usually given when u state u wish to use the visa catergorically for the purpose u filled.
So what was your purpose? Did u declare/misrrepresent about pregnancy? If u did then you are the best person to advice youself on the best course of action

Good afternoon everyone.. I have a few questions for the house.. If anyone could answer.
1. What benefit is it to have your child born in the US apart from the citizenship?
2. What legal status is conferred on the Nigerian parents of US born children?

I'd appreciate insight on these two questions.

Just the word Annotation below M (entries)

I think you are mis-reading it....if im not wrong

If you have annotation, it is written under the word annotation. E.g my F1 visa had the name and address of the school I was attending under the annotation section. My subsequent B1/B2 Visas just has the word annotation but nothing written underneath.

@Sugah, I think you r right, if the Annotation is standing alone without any statement after it mean the visa is open to any thing under the visa category not restricted to a particular thing but if the annotation comes with a statement after, like : ''To attend a conference 5th march to 10th march 2016'', it means the visa can only be use for that purpose.
from the little research i made online.

As the time of my application in June I was not pregnant and our intension was to go for our annual vacation in new york ( although he asked if i had a relative in america and i said yes but will not be staying with him since it was a familiy vacation). Due to some issues at work my leave was recalled and we didn't travel. Took in in October and I didn't want to go for vacation anymore knowing fully well I needed 2 start saving.

Madam, Kaiii...i would not be here and allow you to make the same exact mistake i made 2 years ago. I made this same mistake before i discovered this blessed forum guess what Maami, my visa was revoked one week after i go it. I listened and took advice from #God have mercy, i dont want to use a bad word, anyways, the same people came back and told me to inform the embassy which i did and my visa was R-E-V-O-K-E-D...You know what, forgellllt about USA pikin this time,(if you no get liver to face POE due to unforseen questions and circumstances for fear of being turned back, but if you can brave it, ngwa nu jisie ike), jejely give birth here, use ur visa for the purpose you got it and plan for a USA baby next time. I MADE THE SAME MISTAKE SWEETHEART. DONT DO IT, I BEG YOU, LISTEN TO THESE WOMEN. . I HAVE TRAVELLED TO 2 SCHENGEN COUNTRIES, I JUST RETURNED FROM DUBAI LASTWEEK YET FEAR NEVER GREE ME TO GO BACK AND RENEW THE USA VISA..#my2cents..

egariyi:

You just got your visa yesterday and you want to write to the embassy!! Sometimes, we use our hands to cause problems for ourselves. Why didnt you declare that you wanted to have your baby at once instead of vacation. Its obvious you have lied about your intensions. Your visa may be cancelled if you write to them. I suggest you travel for vacation first before going for birthing if time is on your side. Gudluck!

I think you don't have an issue,i just went into my strong room (according to LadyG) now to check my own visa,it has the "annotation" below the M also, and so does my last expired visa too, so i sincerely think you are good to go.

On your visas, under your passport photograph, are there asterisk(s)/star(s) therein? How many of us really have a clear picture of what those represent/connote (as different people have them on their visa in different shades and types)? Still researching though.

Hi mama's and papas, sorry i've just been very lazy to type. My journey was super successful. My baby arrived on 10th of April. God was with me all through. VBAC didn't work for me so I ended up with emergency Csection. My budget of 2.5m couldn't work either due to the high exchange rate. Well, I'm back home with my bouncing son...which is most important.
Thanks to everyone who advised/contributed to my success.

This Madam with annotation issue if I catch you! Thats how I left the system and went to get all the passports in the house, both current and old looking with eye glasses and microscope for annotation. They called me to come and do something and I dropped my Mother's passport only for my toddler to grab it and attempt to drop it inside the mop bucket that was filled with soapy water.

Anyway, I checked 6 visas and saw the word 'Annotation' only, just as people have said, once nothing is written under it no issue.

My first US visa was for a conference and it had the name of the conference in the annotation section...I got it in Barbados so I thought that was done to me as some form of discrimination..I know better now smiley....
I attended my conference and returned back to school..I don't regret using the visa then for the intended purpose cos I made some good contacts there in DC smiley smiley smiley

Folks, try to be honest in all your dealings and pertaining this issue of cutting yam in half, I feel it should not be promoted here cos this thread advocates honesty in everything and sneaking in contraband items into the United states deliberately should be a NO option

Congratulations to all the wonderful mamas in the house with testimonies..All those in need of Gods help in one way or the other, don't fret, but encourage yourselves in the Lord and He will help you all

Yam is not allowed for the same reason seeds are not allowed, they dont want individuals to go planting it in their country. When you cut both ends off they know you cant plant, and theres nothing wrong in doing that!!!

If I were you I will use the visa for the holiday it was issued for then child birth late.

This issue of contacting the embassy shortly after getting a visa for change of intent is getting far too common here.
