Hello House, please I need you to advice me. I'm working towards relocating to Canada. I have nobody to stay with but I'm trusting God for breakthrough when I gets there. I intend applying for IMM 1295F (Work permit made outside canada). Please this question falls on those who have had Canada experience or knows much about the country. 1. Are there jobs for foreigners (that can sustain anyone and of course keep savings)? 2. What should be his BTA target (since I know nobody there to accommodate me for a while)? 3. Is it a good decision to make (leaving Nigeria for Canada without any work provision or accommodation availability?) 4. What kind of job should I be scouting for that can make things easier for him, as a graduate of electrical engineering with little or no work experience on electrical engineering? Presently I'm working with a Non governmental Organization/ MLM company (a Product officer) 5. Which of the cities should I be directing my plans to? e.g. Toronto, Ontario, Newfound land etc. I'd be most grateful if these questions are made available God bless you all 2 Likes |

Please I need clarification here, in my study Permit application form I put my fees which is 14k, then room and board I put 8k and in others I put 2k, and the funds available is 24k. Please is ok like this or does anyone have anything to tell me? Secondly, my visa office instruction form is really pissing me off, I can't type in it or convert to ms word. Should I print out those pages and fill it with ink/pen? Thanks |

Odinwa: I suggest you make your room nd board 10k while you retain other figure... I will prefer you exceed their 10k expectations as you will be doing so with the other '2k'.. I hope this helps.. My opinion tho... |

justwise: That is at his discretion. I don't remember exactly how the employment section looks but there's a way he can fill it out without specifying he is 'unemployed'. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by justwise(m): 3:13pm On Jun 04, 2016 |
darefestus: This is how people create problems where non exist..is either you are employed or unemployed there is no ambiguity here. The moment you start lying in your application form the next thing is forging paper to support your lies. So unnecessary. 4 Likes |

Temiy: Yes. Your study permit authorizes you to work. You can work before school resumes. However, when school resumes, your work hours must not exceed 20hours a week. |

rheginarh: Your case is different and you can support your situation with papers from the company. Is not the same as somebody who made up the whole work history 2 Likes |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by lawmerchant: 3:55pm On Jun 04, 2016 |
ouchechukwuo: Your are applying for WORK permit? Do you have any previous status in Canada? Do you have any current job offer in Canada? It's important first to find out if you're qualified for a work permit before answering the ?s you're asking. |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by cccxxiii: 5:06pm On Jun 04, 2016 |
Temiy: Well from what I Know, You need to apply for your SIN (social insurance number ) first, after that the job application process may take some time depending on the type of job. Give or take you should be able to, even when school resumes you still have your 20hrs/7 |

I have an admission with University of Regina in Electronic Engineering for September 2016 and about proceeding for visa application. My challenge is, I have just 2million naira in my account and a plot of land. I don't have any rich uncle or rich family member bearing my surname but I have lots of university close friends working in IOC (Total, Shell, Chevron, Exxon etc). Is my 2million naira financial statement of account enough 2convince the Visa officer or what else do I do? Please help, I'm desperate!!!!!!!! |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by Arcayo: 6:15pm On Jun 04, 2016 |
xyoung:If those your friends trust you let them help you build your account to the tune of about 6 to 8m, then you sponsor yourself.....thats if you are working ooo to sho source of the money....but it might be late now to build account. Either you get a sponsor or defer your admission and build the account |

xyoung: N2m is insufficient fund. You must prove that you have resources or sponsor to fund your education at least for the first year without working in Canada. You may use sponsors if you don't have sufficient fund on your own. |

Hello guys, I do not know where to start from. All I can say is Hallelujah to the Most high. My study permit has been approved, I applied March 8, 2016. I don’t know how to start but lemme start somewhere. I tacked my application June 1, 2016. It said processed passpprt has been dispatched from the Canada visa office to the Canada visa office Lagos on the 1st of june. I couldn’t believe it, I was so annoyed and frustrated. I was like the second time again.. I just dropped my phone and continued what I was doing , I started reading different forums because from the usual I know approval mail comes first. I have been downhearted since. I don’t know what led me to my mail this evening, I checked my updates and I saw the approval mail low and behold. It was sent since MAY 28, 2016. Am so so happy. GOD HAS DONE IT I don’t know why I didn’t see the notification on my phone. Am so glad that my app has been approved, this is my second application. I also wish others awaiting their applications speedy approvals. List of documents submitted My uncle is my sponsor, not the same surname Closing acc balance 8million naira CAC documents & tax clearance PAID my tuition fully for two years I submitted my receipt showing it has been received at the university My uncle transferred 9,500 US dollars into my account for my upkeep for a year (I attached my statement of account) Letter of acceptance WAEC and University Transcript and Certificate Birth certificate State of origin for my uncle and I----- to show our relationship Ielts result Letter of consent from my parents Property owned by my parents showing I am the heir apparent since am the only child Letter of explanation( I studied Electrical Engineering and I got admitted for computer and electrical engineering) I graduated 2014 and completed my NYSC July, 2015 AND in my letter of explanation I said I have been taking online courses to prepare me for my Graduate studies. Lest I forget I want to say a BIG THANK YOU!!! To Thesoj, khalesi, team 12, rotex and all others am so grateful. I was delayed once but delay isn’t denial my friends. Never give Up. Thank you once again 26 Likes |
