emma4eva:That agent could be thinking of his pocket by telling you to apply for PGD while you have a master admission. Your case is simple, use your master admission to reapply after addressing the concerns made by the Visa Officer. Please don't complicate matters for yourself. It is simple. Tell your school you were denied visa and ask them to defer your admission to next session, also ask them if you can pay your school fees (subject to full refund in unlikely event your efforts to address the concerns raised by VO didn't result in successful visa decision). 2 Likes |

Good day house, I hold a B.Sc in Industrial Chemistry and M.Sc in Oil & Gas Operations Management, and I was denied visa some days back having been admitted to SAIT for the BAPT program, reason was "purpose of visit". However, I intend to settle for PhD and I was hoping I can get suggestions with regards to schools good in research, with less tuition and probably scholarship opportunity. Also, do I need to write GMAT in order to be considered? Thanks |

meekmk: @ meekmk you like money oh, you are talking of your wife working, i was expecting you to talk how your wife will take care of her baby first before you talk of working, or do you want to go to school while your wife go to work and the little cute baby girl stay at home? Unless you are considering day care which is very expensive in Canada. You will have to apply for visiting visa for you cute baby girl while your wife apply for SOWP. The duration of the SOWP validity will be the same as your study permit. 1 Like |

favour0011: I am in the same situation as you are. I really hope it wont have any effect. In my own case my school does not give a deferral letter because my admission letter is valid for 1 year. I hope we get a response for this. Any one who has advice, please kindly respond. Thanks |

meekmk: Congratulations bro.. How many years visa was given to you? You can apply SOWP for as soon as u land Canada.. Apply for visiting for ur daughter.. She can work for 40 hours a week.. By the time u calculate how much u will spend on ur daughters day care.. It will be better for u to be coming to Nigeria to visit dem anytime u are on holidays. The day ur visa expires.. That's the same day her SOWP will end.. They are tied together! Good luck! By the way.. Congratulations on your baby! Welcome to Fatherhood! 4 Likes 1 Share |

meekmk: Congrats meekmk on your successful TRV application. Thanks for also giving hope to those of us going for a PGC/PGD. Your wife's sowp will only be valid for the duration of your study permit. Also she's eligible to work full time. The gurus in the house can correct me if I'm wrong.. 3 Likes |

lekan282:Get all necesary documents down. You can apply for sowp, u would just av to put in detailed info as proof, but if u still intend to study, you would still have to get a study permit. 1 Like |

burrytee: I'm only aware they changed the fee for study permit app so weather online or paper it's same amount though your financial institute may even charge you more when using your credit card. |

Just use d required documents neccessary for sowp application, then ur wife would include your marriage certificate, photocopy of your wedding invitation(thats if d name correlates with what's on ur passports) and if she has changed her surname to urs let her add the change of name page from a newspaper publication. I tink that's it. lekan282: 1 Like |
