76 farmers in Ebonyi were arrested by soldiers an detained for over 2 weeks because they protested the raping of their women and killing of farmers by herdsmen. They paid stiff bail to secure their freedom.

The charges were that they posses weapons. None of the herds men has even been questioned, talk less of being arrested. Meanwhile, the cattle herdsmen are walking free with their AK47s.

Prominent elites from SE, SS and SW are keeping a deafening silence on this herdsmen menace.

All these attacks has one aim and that is to beat nigerians into surrendering to the establishment of grazing areas for cattle herders (traditionally fulani's) all over nigeria for peace to reign , this will create a fulani government given settlement all over Nigeria. In the coming years the descendants of this herders will agitate for creation of LGA on the ground of marginalisation thereby making them indigens. This is a subtle move to keep nigeria one which is not bad. However the million dollar question is will the Ibos be given area for trading in every state too, will the yoruba's be given nationwide farmland, will the isoko's, urobos,efiks, tivs and over 260 tribes get same treatment nation wide.
