Modern cars are designed to give comfort and pleasure to the driver. The power steering feature of the modern cars was meant to add to this. The pinion shaft and steering rack are the most sophisticated and widely used, it interprets turning of the steering wheels into a directional shift of the car tire using the pinion shaft and the steering rack. The rack and pinion shafts are designed in a metal case that is surrounded by seals and when the seals are worn out, the steering fluids leaks. Causes of leakage too include contaminated steering fluid.
It is recommended that a periodic check and change of the power steering fluid should be conducted.
