The pinion shaft and steering rack are the most sophisticated and widely used, it interprets turning of the steering wheels into a directional shift of the car tire using the pinion shaft and the steering rack. The rack and pinion shafts are designed in a metal case that is surrounded by seals and when the seals are worn out, the steering fluids leaks. Causes of leakage too include contaminated steering fluid.
