[s] zendy:[/s] We are not the only country formed by the british. Others have moved on and prospering. The british colonized Canada, USA and Australia. Today these countries are envy of the world. The problem we have here is leadership. Our leaders are united in corruption while we frustrated commoners hates each other for no reason. Stella odua stole massively when she was a minister. Rochas and other igbo leaders are not clean. Even if you get the biafra, Will Jesus christ be your president? Will you not be ruled by these so called corrupt elites who see no wrong in one Nigeria as far as they keep feeding fat while u go to bed hungry? Ooh you expect Kanu and Uchemefor to become president and vice president of biafra consecutively? They will turn ibo land to paradise bah? Guy stop fooling yourself. Biafra is just a change of name. the corrupt elites remains the same scattered in all tribes 1 Like |

[s] ArodewilliamsT:[/s] Empty threats from a mere ipob yoot You are daring a commander in chief to go ahead and kill kanu? Who d hell is Kanu? even tho i dont support senseless killings, what has happened since the shiites members were wiped out? what happened when biafra protesters were shot dead? Have you guys gone to aso rock to deal with buhari? Do you even understand the power of a federal govt? Can you go to a mere local govt chairman's office in your village to deal with him talkless of a whole president? You think buhari is someone u will see walking on the street of Aba which u can kidnap and beat? Better find something meaningful to do with ur lives. The dead protesters were warned but the never listened. They are alone in their graves now dying for nothing. Kanu is in deep shit and nothing will happen if he is killed. Bola ige was killed in this country. Dele giwa was killed, Ken sarowiwa was killed, Abiola was killed what happened to the rulers of the country when those people were killed? Are they in ICC now? Did gowon and ojukwu go to ICC after fighting that needless war? Dont die for nothing my friend. Even the almighty creek lord tompolo is hiding not to mention the rat called kanu 1 Like |

irunooboo: You even answered your own question in this write up. You said the problem of Nigeria is leadership? It is not leadership. Not even if you make the Pope president of Nigeria, he will not be able to do anything. Do you know why? Because Igbo/Hausa/Yoruba have their own brand of thinking. These three groups do not like each other, they are suspicious of each other and each have their own mode of operation. So how do you think you will get any meaningful progress in such a situation? The reason why an Igbo politician can steal in Nigeria but cannot do the same in Igboland is because that politician can bribe a Hausa man or Yoruba or some other ethnic group to protect him or her. But if he or she does it in an Igbo run country, their is no hiding place. Nigeria is a country of sectional interests and no one really believes in it. It is simply unworkable because we are too different. That's why we should break it up and directly administer our selves. As rich as Britain is, despite the fact that they are the ones who created Nigeria, they were still prepared to break up when they offered Scotland a referendum in 2014. They didn't go and start shouting "one Britain" all over the place and threaten Sclotland with war and treason. Start reasoning, there is no future in Nigeria. The future is economic and political co-operation between Igbos and the smaller ethnic groups in the Niger-Delta.If there was was future in Nigeria, you would have seen a little of it since 1914 that Lugard created it. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

DEATH TO NIGERIAN UNITY BECAUS IT IS DESIGNED TO DESTROY THE PEOPLES.NIGERIANS ARE NIGGER WANNABES WHO HAVE SOLD AND BETRAYED THEIR OWN TO GREEDY EVIL FOREIGNERS SINCE 1914. NIG-GERIA IS THE ANUS OF AFRICA. DUMPING SHIT ALL OVER THE WORLD. YES THEY SAY WE SEPARATISTS ARE ALL TALK BUT PEOPLE AT HOME AND WORLDWIDE ARE LISTENING. I COMMEND IPOB AND KANU'S COURAGE. DURING THE SLAVERY DAYS THERE WERE MANY NEGROS ALWAYS WILLING TO CATCH, MURDER AND BETRAY OTHERS FOR MONEY THEY COULD GET FROM JEW AND GOY SLAVE TRADERS IN LAGOS. NOW THE SITUATION IS THE SAME NIGGERIAN HAS FOUND A WAY TO MAKE MONEY OFF OF SELLING THE BREAD BASKET OF MANY ETHNIC GROUPS TO THE SAME FOREIGN DEVILS WHOSE GRAND PARENTS PROFITED FROM SLAVERY. NIGERIA STARTED OFF AS A SLAVE TRADING COMPANY CALLED THE ROYAL NIGER COMPANY ON LAGOS ISLAND. THIS COMPANY KICKED THE PORTUGUESE JEWS AND CATHOLICS FROM THE AREA TO DOMINATE THE TRADE FOR 200 YEARS. THIS COMPANY HAD ITS OWN ARMY MADE UP OF LOCAL RECRUITS AND FOREIGNERS AND COULD DEMAND THAT BRITAIN SEND TROOPS TO FURTHER ITS INTERESTS. THE ROYAL NIGER COMPANY BECAUSE OF ITS THIRST FOR SLAVES INSTIGATED MANY WARS FUELING THOSE WARS BY SELLING GUNS TO THE WARRING FACTIONS SO THEY COULD KILL, AND ENSLAVE AFROS THEN BRING THEM TO LAGOS TO SELL TO THEM. THESE BRITISH COONS WHO SET UP THIS SATANIC COMPANY WITH SHAREHOLDERS IN LONDON TRADING HUMAN STOCK ARE NOW THE HEROES OF THE HISTORIES TAUGHT TO NIGERIAN STUDENTS IN SCHOOLS. THE AFRO PEOPLES HAVE BEEN SO DECEIVED TO WORSHIP THOSE WHO ENSLAVE, DENIGRATE AND SEEK AT ALL TIMES TO DESTROY THEIR HUMANITY ITS APPALLING. THIS ROYAL NIGER COMPANY WAS NOT CONTENT ON ENSLAVING MILLIONS IT STARTED TO ANNEX TERRITORIES SPREADING FROM LAGOS OUTWARD INTO THE INTERIOR IN GRUESOME WARS. NOW THEY HAD ALREADY WEAKENED THE LOCAL YOBA POPULATION FOR AT LEAST 100 YEARS GETTING THEM TO MURDER AND ENSLAVE EACH OTHER SO INSTEAD OF THESE YOBAS BANDING TOGETHER TO STOP THE ENCROACHMENT OF THESE BRITISH COMPANY COONS SOME OF THEM WOULD EVEN JOIN IN BECAUSE THROUGH THE YEARS THEY HAD ONLY DEVELOPED MALICE FOR EACH OTHER. IN THEIR FIGHT AGAINST THE YOBAS THEY WOULD USE HAUSAS LIVING IN EKO-ILE BUT BY THE TIME THEY CROSSED THE RIVER INTO THE NORTH THEY WOULD USE YOBAS AGAINST THE HAUSAS. LATER ON AROUND THE 1880s THE SATANIC GOVERNMENT OF BRITAIN SYMBOLISED BY THE RED DRAGON THAT ANCIENT EVIL SERPENT OF THE CITY COULD NATIONALISE THE ROYAL NIGER COMPANY AND TURN IT INTO COLONY OF NIGERIA NOW THATS HOW NIGGERIA WAS CREATED. NIGGERIA IS NOT THE SALVATION OF THE PEOPLES IT OPPRESSES BUT THE BRITISH DEVILS AND THEIR LOCAL DOGS ALWAYS WANT YOU TO THINK THEY ARE DOING YOU A FAVOR WHEN THEY ARE RUINING YOUR LIVES. THEIR OPPRESSIVE SYSTEM IS DYING. NIGGERIA THE CANCER OF AFRICA IS LOATHED ALL AROUND THE WORLD. EVEN THE BRITISH COONS CANNOT PUT HUMPTY DUMPTY BACK TOGETHER AGAIN WHEN THE EGG FALLS OFF THE WALL. THE FOREIGN OIL COMPANIES MUST LEAVE THE NIGER DELTA OR PAY THE PRICE WITH THEIR BLOOD. CURSES FROM ON HIGH AND FROM THE LIPS OF THE OPPRESSED LAND ON THE HEADS OF THE CRACKERS POLLUTING AND PLUNDERING THE LANDS OF THE PEOPLE. MAY THE BUCKRAS DIE IN MILLIONS ON THE BATTLEFIELDS.MAY THOSE WHO HAVE BETRAYED FOR MONEY DIE IN PRISON. AMEN. 3 Likes |

@ Op, have we (igbo, yoruba & hausa/fulani) ever been One? Would you say we are One presently (after co-habiting for over a century)? Am sorry to say but nigeria will never witness progress under the current arrangement. Even if we stay together for another century we will just be perambulating from one crisis to another. The foundation of this d.umb union is skewed and until we address this fundamental problem, we are just marking time. The only thing that keeps us one is the level of hatred and distrust we harbour for each other. 9 Likes |

In essence, we are both saying the same thing. Oh well, i wish those minorities whom you have been interacting with, for donkey years, all the best of luck for they surely going to be needing it in bucketful, as you turn their region to another "No man's land". Fellow Biafrans I have come to see and believe that you people have a lot of time to waste, whenever you see posts like this one or threads, or whatever, do not stop by to answer them, they are not worthy of your time, energy or resources, you do not have to show them the reason for your faith, it is like throwing pearls to pigs, or a gold ring on a snout of a pig, water on fowl, and water on a piece of rock. However, al you can say to them is sit, relax and watch the zoo your country collapse like a pack of cards. 5 Likes |

@Op, It's either you are evil or you have mental illness. How do you force yourself on other people? You are probably suffering from low self-esteem in real life, and it's your type that would refuse to leave abusive relationships until killed. You wrote this trash because you can't think properly. The reason Nigeria is the way it is, is because we are too different and nothing will ever get done to move the country forward. Everything is viewed through tribal lenses, 'our daughter/son' alone will keep us where we are while the rest of the world leaves us behind. You have nothing to be afraid of, you can also move with any other tribe to their new nation, just as we will always have some Hausa and ibos in Yorubaland. We don't need to stay together, what we should be working on is how to be good neighbors. We are are better off apart, and yes we can do it. We owe the future generations to leave our nations better than we met it. 4 Likes |

zendy: When you decide to live your life without the education Lugard brought the rest of us might then consider doing away with the confederation "Nigeria" lugard established. It is just so baffling why so many ipob youths argue without reasoning at least if you argue to the left you should be able to decipher someone against your motion with go to the right but your insistence on being right when your argument glaringly come short or flawed is baffiing and am left to wonder why so many of you do write like graduate, reason like one too but are always one dimensional, most sentimental to the negative side of every argument ? Is the brain of most you programmed to play the devils advocate ? Can the brain of most of you not counterbalance previously flawed argument that science n time exposed it's shortcoming and deduce your own notions etc ? Just wondering or how do you explain justifying doing away with Nigeria brought by Lugard "British" without deeming it fit to demand doing away with education / Christianity also brought by the same British ? 1 Like |

irunooboo:In as much as i would like to applaud the 'patriotic' fervor that the op tries to whip up in this piece, candor would not permit to give props to a write up that is plainly at its best an ode to ignorance or at its worst a litany of calumny. True patriotism is not glossing over past injustices or the sanctification of evil acts; rather it is the acceptance & taking responsibility for wrong acts carried out by our forbears if they are not sensible enough to do so & seek lasting solutions. Yes, kanu preaches a message of hate and intolerance which i detest but the question you should ask yourself as an individual capable of minimum rational thought is " are his accusations baseless? Are the southern easterners not marginalized in nigeria today? the brutal truthful answer is yes. He questions the oneness of our nation. Now ask yourself "are we really 1 in this country?" the truthful answer is "no" of course . If you think otherwise, why is it that in most nigerian family setting, marriages to certain ethnic groups is met with stiff resistance? Why do we remain suspicious of other tribes? If we were really 1, we would not have any qualms with someone from another part of the country contesting for governorship in our states as long as they are integral & responsible members of that state. A prime example is barrack obama of the USA who was born of a kenyan father & american mother in the state of Hawaii, grew up in the state of Arkansas & contested as a senator from the constituency of Chicago, Illinois state before running for president. If it were nigeria, it would have not been possible. The fact is that the nigeria as you know is a british contraption established for the sole purpose of exploitation. We had no say in the matter of amalgamation. Hausa didnt sit with igbo & agree to come together to form a nation neither did igbo agree with yoruba. The british knew that in forcefully joining these groups some of whom have never known of the others' existence would create strife & tension in their midst & further their interests because it would be difficult for these groups to truly unite & fight their oppression. You further cemented the pathetic state of your piece by trying to label ojukwu as the instigator of the civil war. If you truly believe this, i deeply sympathize with the abysmal depth of your ignorance of our nation's history. It could be likened to the depth of the mariana trench. Why do you think nigerian history isn't compulsorily taught in schools? Because anyone with a well calibrated & functional moral compass would see that the biafrans were the wronged party. Here is an excerpt culled from Wikipedia about the build up to the nigerian civil war "In the meantime, the July counter-coup had unleashed pogroms against more than 50,000 Easterners throughout the Northern Region. Hundreds of Eastern officers were murdered during the revolt, and in the North, as commanding officers either lost their control of their troops or actively egged them on to violence against Igbo civilians, it did not take long for Northerners from all walks of life to participate. Tens of thousands of Igbos were killed throughout the North. The persecution precipitated the flight of more than a million Igbo towards their ancestral homelands in eastern Nigeria. Lieutenant Colonel Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, the military governor of the Eastern region who did not allow attempts by Northern soldiers stationed in his region to replicate the massacres of Igbo officers, argued that if Igbo lives could not be preserved by the Nigerian state, then the Igbo reserved the right to establish a state of their own in which their rights would indeed be respected. There arose tension between the Eastern region and the northern controlled federal government led by Gowon. On 4–5 January 1967, in line with Ojukwu's demand to meet for talks only on neutral soil, a summit attended by Gowon, Ojukwu and other members of the Supreme Military Council was held at Aburi in Ghana, the stated purpose of which was to resolve all outstanding conflicts and establish Nigeria as a confederation of regions. The outcome of this summit was the Aburi Accord." SO why do you call ojukwu greedy why? because he tried to prevent further massacre of his people by northerners? Because he refused to recognize gowon as head of state because there was another officer who was senior to him in rank ( gen adeyinka adebayo,a yoruba man). Do you know that till date, not 1 person has been brought to book concerning the massacres or if i am to call it by its proper name attempted genocide of the igbos? & u expect them to smile & forget about that? If they forget about that, what about the over 1 million igbo women, children & civilians that died during the civil war largely due to starvation caused by the blockade instituted by federal forces? Again culled from wikipedia "On 30 May 1967, Ojukwu responded to Gowon's announcement by declaring the formal secession of the Eastern Region, which was now to be known as the Republic of Biafra. This was to trigger a war that would last some 30 months, and see the deaths of more than 100,000 soldiers and over a million civilians, most of the latter of which would perish of starvation under a Nigeria-imposed blockade. The war saw a massive expansion of the Nigerian army in size and a steep increase in its doctrinal and technical sophistication, while the Nigerian Air Force was essentially born in the course of the conflict. However, significant controversy has surrounded the air operations of the Nigerian Forces, as several residents of Biafra, including Red Cross workers, foreign missionaries and journalists, accused the Nigerian Air Force of specifically targeting civilian populations, relief centers and marketplaces. Gowon has steadfastly denied those claims, along with claims that his army committed atrocities such as rape, wholesale executions of civilian populations and extensive looting in occupied areas; however, one of his wartime commanders, Benjamin Adekunle seems to give some credence to these claims in his book, while excusing them as unfortunate by-products of war. The victims of air force bombings, and those who starved to death during the blockade, were brought again to popular consideration in 2014 when Gowon was declared the tenth most lethal dictator of modern history in an internet meme which was stated by viral meme hosting website imgur to have gone viral on the internet.[8] Gowon has always denied the charges of being a violent dictator. The end of the war came about on 13 January 1970, with Colonel Olusegun Obasanjo's acceptance of the surrender of Biafran forces.[9] The next day Obasanjo announced the situation on the former rebel radio station Radio Biafra Enugu. Gowon subsequently declared his famous "no victor, no vanquished" speech, and followed it up with an amnesty for the majority of those who had participated in the Biafran uprising, as well as a program of "Reconciliation, Reconstruction, and Rehabilitation", to repair the extensive damage done to the economy and infrastructure of the Eastern Region during the years of war.[10] Unfortunately, some of these efforts never left the drawing board. In addition to this, Gen. Gowon's administration's policy of giving 20 pounds to Biafran who had a bank account in Nigeria before the war, regardless of how much money had been in their account, was criticised by foreign and local aid workers, as this led to an unprecedented scale of begging, looting and robbery in the former Biafran areas after the war." What were the gains of the civil war? "The postwar years saw Nigeria enjoying a meteoric, oil-fueled, economic upturn in the course of which the scope of activity of the Nigerian federal government grew to an unprecedented degree, with increased earnings from oil revenues. Unfortunately, however, this period also saw a rapid increase in corruption, mostly bribery, of and by federal government officials; and although the head of State himself, Gen. Gowon, was never found complicit in the corrupt practices, he was often accused of turning a blind eye to the activities of his staff and cronies.[11]" You recommend & applaud the killing of unarmed IPOB protesters by the nigerian govt. Is it that you are unaware of the right of nonviolent expression of views & protest contained in the nigerian constitution or do you delight in impunity and disregard for law & order as exhibited by numerous leaders of this country past & present? So far IPOB has been nonviolent & its members whilst talking tough have not carried out any hostile act on nigeria. My final verdict is that you are just an ignorant bigot completely unaware of the history of this country & therefore incapable of anything closely affiliated with commonsense. I recommend you carry out an in-depth study of the situation before broadcasting your ineptitude & gaucheness. 10 Likes 4 Shares |
