This is the height of deceit. The tough fuel crisis under GEJ was caused by the same Buhari and Apc when they said that Subsidy is fraud and they won't pay. The importers simply refused to import product. So it was due to Apc and Buhari.GEJ is far better than Buhari. We need him back. It isn't only about fuel but everything. Nigerians are really getting what they chose! 2 Likes 1 Share |

ocloud81: So Buhari is your Jesus, your own lord and personal savior? What even qualifies a man that threatened to soak dogs and baboons in blood, said a fight against boko haram was injustice to the north, allowed the killing of armless protesters, allowed the massacre of several hundreds of Shiits, allowed his kinsmen to run amok and waste lives on daily basis but will have 76 people who stood up to protest such killings arrested with a bail of 200k placed on their heads, a man that according to his scam budget will feed fat off our wealth, a man that chose to tax the masses to death, a man that allowed several scams to happen under his nose (even while serving under OBJ - N2.8billion went missing and while serving under Abacha - most of the money stolen under Abacha was stolen thru him), to be tagged Jesus? I know you're no christian because if you were, you'd have been more guided in your statements but to think a supposed human being would produce this tanker load of watery faecal deposit, leaves so much to desire.. Little wonder the white still regard Nigerians as black monkey niggers.. 1 Like |

At the end of the day when Nigerians decide to gulp another man's opinion, you have a situation where people are suffering because of flack governement policies, we are called wailers. I guess its because some of us are still doing "dady give me money" "mumy give me mony" is why we can afford data to spew ignorance. 2012 when they removed subsidy, and told us the economic benefits, our elders dem incited Nigerians to go to Ojota that Obesere, Daddy Showkey, chris Brown were going to perform for us and told us to fight subsidy removal that its our "fundamental human right". This is the price we'll pay for our rights o! Need I remind you that a new government was coming in and subsidy payments aren't made upfront. You're meant to bring in th product, provide evidence of your import allocation and get paid. Didn't the current governement receive their handover documents? Are we forgetting the paramount long standing and often ignored rule that government is a thing of CONTINUITY. When in 20008, the wory went through recession, we had a foreign reserve and and excess crude account created to cushion those effects. And oil at that time was $38. Inflation held strong at single digit. When the boom started and Okonjo Iweala save for rainy daysand start investing in a Soverign Wealth Fund what did the Governor's Forum do? They told her to ShARE THE MONEY. National Assembly questioned her competence and told her to halt those directives. When the constituion provides for a minimum of SSCE to contest for electoral office. Lest we forget also that 21 of the governors saying they are agents of change were formerly of the PDP. They jumped ship not for you and I but to line their pockets for the future. The same set of people that fought against policies that will have sereved as cushion to this shock are the ones crying blue murder. The Justice League of Ministers he was trying to assemble, what have we got to show for it. No economic direction for a period of 5-6 months and you expect serious minded people to pump in money into your economy? The stock market has lost 26 percent of its value, inflation has hit double digits, the black market is the official market for foreign exhange the CBN, SMES are suffering, power hit 0MW nationwide, his MDAS will want to act on something and Baba will shake body and say its "body language" and move in the opposite direction and Nigerians end up being the ones to pay the price for economic ineptitude? I've tried so hare to believe that this governement will stabilise our polity but what happens where the no.1 person meets a problem and resorts to de-marketing his own country and resorting to blame when they came on the platform of change and promising to fix the problem? And he has people around him who were part of that problem? Nigerians should resort to being constructive in criticism and not hauling insults on people who are still struggling to make ends meet wasting productive man hours queing to get PMS. This current scarcity began in the 4th quarter of 2015 and someone puts up a post of a situation that was bad notwithstanding but didn't go past a week? It will only get better but until then, PMB has disappointed me. 1 Like |

Excellentmind:scarcity is always caused by one thing or another. During the end of gej's tenure, it was caused cos the marketers felt pmb won't pay then their subsidy owed as you stated above. Why did Jonathan owe them? The fact that he owed them is enough to tie him to the blame of the difficulties experienced then. He Prolly looted the money. |

obailala:No. the protest was because of the outstanding subsidy money owed them, and buhari and his party believe there is no subsidy or that its a scam. Buhari on assumption, directed all subsidy from january to stop, and nnpc to take over importation of all pms while supplemented with a part from local refinery product. they oil marketers had just sat back to know how long nnpc can shoulder that responsibilty and look at where we are now. the last I know is that govt wants to resume subsidy again and allow the marketers to resume import since nnpc isnt up to task alone |

tomakint: So suddenly they stopped giving aids because Obj was out of government? That shows the level of confidence they have in him being able to manage the nation. Even without any intelligence gathering, every common man can see how Gej's goons were butchering the economy on daily basis. If you are the president of the US, France, UK will you put your money into a business being run an ineffectual manager and his voracious croonies? The aids got during Obj's reign that were left as foreign reserve, why was it depleted even when GEJ didn't experience this level of drop in oil price ![]() GEJ turning blind eye towards the wanton rate of corruption sole-handedly finished him besides other insensitivities. 1 Like |

MosakuAW:The simple and only solutions: 1. Removal of subsidy 2. Refurbishing our existing refinaries 3. Building of six or more new refinaries for local consuption 4. Banning the sale of products to jerry cans 5. Constitution of a special task force to ensure that products are not diverted and that filling stations sell at approve love-vendor prices. |

bloodyBLOGGER:op..let's be honest ..some of us are not PDP or APc ...if there is one area GEJ scored 90% or above it is in fuel supply availability and affordability. what u posted was at tail end after his defeat...it is not as if it was d norm in his adminstration.. never.. that one can testify.. here within first one year of PMB we have had unprecedented recurring fuel scarcity of national embarrassment. so posting a one episode of fuel crisis in tail end of a five year tenure smacks of nothing but pure attempt to label a dog bad name... Nigerians know better.... we cant be fooled by such pure mischief.... if Yorubas were not part of this govt, hope you know Soyinka, Falana, Bakare etc would have mobilised protest against this current situation.. however. because they sold PMB to Nigerians as Messiah, they are too ashamed to do it.... so the onus is on paid agents like you to write such stupid stories as this.... am ashamed of you..really ashamed.... 2 Likes |

Nigerians are amazing people. Reviewing the comments on this thread, shows how shallow Nigerians think. Not backing any administration nor favouring Buhari either, I fail to see why we should engage in an argument that is based on comparing administration's successes and failure. The hard truth is that we haven't had any form of progress in this country for more than a decade now, regardless of whom was at the helm of affairs. Jonathan was a colossal failure, it will be saddening if you think otherwise. Buhari just started his regime let's see how far he goes. If we have any sense at all, we should know that it will take more than just over 9months to eradicate the rot in the Nigerian system. Because fuel affects the common man, that is why we have so much out cry, but this is just the same level of retardation that is experienced in all the sectors of the economy. Because of the level of illiteracy even amongst so called University graduates we fail to see the bigger picture but do not relent to open our big mouths to shout when fuel is in shortage of supply |

Inova: Do you share the same brain with that dude? You are also unintelligent. I work in one of the sectors he mentioned and we knew what happened, as we are close to the top guys in the downstream sector. I insist that putting up such simplistic posts in an attempt to justify the fuel crisis for political sentiments is shallow and unintelligent. If he could research on his post. He should at least mention the FX differential issues, and the "who is subsidizing who" posture of GMB after the elections. That was even for PMS. You and the dude should go and research why the other products remained in the waters and were not available in May last year. You should know one of them was already deregulated. I would have told you, but I'm really not interested. I want to believe your education rant was an accidental discharge. |

Bakley:pls stop talking with your tongue in cheek.. what are the very signs to show that PMB is going the right way.. the right way is that no single road is tarred after one year? the right way is that PMB is not holding regular meetings with his ministers? the right way is that investors are leaving the country? is this the first time we will have a dip in crude oil prices..this dip is a recurring event since 1970. go read history what was crude oil price when OBJ came in? 12$ or so ..but nothing close to 30& ..though later rose ..was OBJ blaming past rulers or he set about working .. the truth is PMB is achaic and his methods ineffective... dats all.....we can argue till Morrow..but the earlier we all know he is not in the right path..the better for us all |
