I like the part that says some people want others to change while they refused to change. That really defined Buhari, the arrogant, proud and self righteous dictator. He knows more than everyone else yet until he came back to power he never contributed a dime in anyway to develop this country. His own was to vow that monkeys and baboons will be soaked in blood. As if those monkeys and baboons would be his children.

In 1984 during the military era, many people died in prison. The court had ruled that those of them should be released but Buhari refused and instead passed his judgement on them. They died. Today in a democratic era, Buhari refuses to release suspects ordered by the courts to be released. He says judiciary is his problem. Will I be surprised if he emerges the next Chief Justice of Nigeria? Buhari is not the only semi-literate person who became president, why is his case this pathetic?

When Mbaka spoke against Gej and his policies, they say he dabbled too much into politics which is not good for a man of God. He was victimized. How is Onaiyekan doing something different from Mbaka here? They say the wish is the father to the thought. Guess he is saying what the whole bunch wants tohear.

Kanu never sponsored any protest.... rather the dullard is indirectly sponsoring it because of not obeying court orders
Ballmer:

To prove your lunacy is out of this world, was KANU sponsoring protest match and blocking the Niger bridge when Jonathan was in power ?

You do not need to answer that, we all understand your answer will be moronic to say the least.

Kanu foolishly led himself into an avoidable problem. He is like a lamb cheered by goats(ipob youths) to take on a pack of hyenas(FG) grin Going by his sober and repentant looks in court recently, am sure he wish he could turn back the hands of time but its too late. He enjoyed the fraudulent fame while it lasted. He wanted to be a rebel leader. A rebel leader with no military background. Which sane rebel leader will go as far as soliciting for weapons on a recorded event? His mistakes are enormous and there are better ways he could have fought his battles without spreading hate and implicating himself. Kanu is just a butter boy overfed with the comfort of london and that pushed him to run his mouth like a tap on biafra radio. After seven months in jail, he is begining to look like a chicken in the rain and Am sure the Dss/kuje prison treatment is gradually restoring his brain to factory settings. Before the previous Biafra war, Ojukwu had a template of what biafra would look like and even presented his demands through the aburi accord in Ghana. He had military experience and a PlanB if the aburi accord was rejected. Despite this, Ojukwu regretted leading his people to a bloody massacre and has since called for a United Nigeria. Kanu's approach was to brainwash innocent youths, spread hate and bile and even instigate war on other non igbo tribes. No concrete reason why they want Biafra other than the Yorubas and Hausas hate us so we have to go. Comparing Kanu to Ojukwu is an insult in all ramifications. Kanu's predicament will never end soon. He will pay for all those hate speeches and instigating wars against peaceful Nigerians. Where are the bombs he threatened to use on Radio biafra? Where are the jet fighters? Where are Ipob soldiers he promised to unleash on the zoo? Pride goes before a fall. Kanu has fallen and all the igbo youths can do is protest. with time everyone will forget him in jail and move on with their lives. I hope uchemefor is learning from this before he finds himself in the same fate. The arc bishop can go and die for all i care grin

God bless Nigeria.

Say no to Biafra

This is exactly the problem with Nigeria. People dabbling into issues they clearly lack knowledge of! What business does the Archbishop have with governance in Nigeria? He should stick to his religious mandate and let the legal system and the government work things out! Kanu is not being held illegally, he was arrested on specific charges, brought before the court and the court threw the case out. He was rearrested immediately on several other charges and will definitely get his day in court. All these religious contortionists from father Mbaka to Onaiyekan should mind their bloody business!

when yaradua was ruling was there boko haram? Jonathan assumed the throne and your brother said he will make the city ungovernable for him which he did.

What do you stand to gain from violence? Sometimes I wonder how people reason here on nairaland allowing sentiments cloud their sense of judgment.

Do you hate freedom? Do you hate love? I don't know why people won't support division of this joke called Nigeria (peacefully).. If it is done, the north will be on their own, same goes to South.

I want you to let me know just one reason why you think this whole game is worth it. And I shall give you millions of reasons why it ain't worth it.

Onaiyekan or whatever your name is, I put it to you that you're a demagogue. Was the silly Kanu planning to obey the teachings of Christ? Nonsense.

And which silly court rulings? Different agents of government are involved in Kanu's trials. Has the one that was barred by the courts from touching him touched ever since?

Silly hypocrite.
Ur ist line got me thinking. If kanu should be arrested for inciting violence what about Buhari n other politicians who swore hell f they don't win d election. Oh dnt tell me he never said that.

I strongly feel the Cardinal should be non-partisan or ethnocentric.. there are a whole lot of other issues that needs his voice.. How come he hasn't said anything against the religious bill by El-Rufai.. the churches being burnt down in the north.. the extent of looting perpetrated through the dasukigate.. And so on... l hope our spiritual leaders can be neutral in political matters!

Nnamdi Kanu started since 2009 and radio Biafra has always been on air broadcasting but Jonathan ignored it until the pedophile came to power and felt that he can close it down.

You would have gotten the same result if Jonathan had arrested Nnamdi Kanu but Jonathan is intelligent

****
Keep deceiving yourself with your fallacious theories about Jonathan ignoring kanu.

The only reason Kanu wasnt arrested by Jonathan was because he was absolutely irrelevant and unknown. Jonathan wasn't even aware of his existence and 95% of his followers today (including yourself) never heard of him. At that time, we only knew of massob and while massob was largely disregarded by even the Igbo populace (including yourself), security forces under Jonatham was in the business of arresting and incarcerating and even executing massob members. But you didnt care because it was Jonathn.

Kanu only started becoming relevant and popular only when Jonathan lost the election and this was purely because Jonathan lost the election and Igbos were angry. As his relevance grew, his followers multiplied in geometric proportions, his nuisance grew, and that necessitated the govt paying attention to him. So cut that crap about GEJ being intelligent and ignoring him, even while we know massob members were being arrested. No leader of a country would sit quietly and tolerate the nuisance of Kanu and his boys, not even Jona. GEJ never heard of Kanu!

No one is saying Nnamdi Kanu is right in his approach on how he tried handling this whole Biafran issue but if the truth must be told the Self Determination is a right and not a crime. If a group of people feel that they're not comfortable living in the same country or if they feel they're been marginalised or if they feel their rights as human beings are not respected then the have a right to self determination. I stand to be corrected though.

@bolded,

It is smart of you to finish your comment with 'stand to be corrected'. smiley

My question is On what basis is kanu & his crew seeking self determination? From your submission, it appears that the self determination idea is simply born out of mere feelings. As far as I know, the Igbos are not oppressed in any form & they enjoy equal rights according to the provisions of the law.

Guy, there are no concrete grounds for secession & like I always mention kanu's dream was dead on arrival; badly planned, poorly managed & has never been inclusive. Biafra slogan was only rekindled because of political differences but majority of Igbos choose to blindly follow the lead & many have needlessly lost their lives.

The Igbos need to do some soul searching & UNITE cos nothing can be achieved while they are divided.

Peace. cool

If Nnamdi Kanu was questioned, warned and released by DSS as early as October 2015 Mr. Kanu could have been a forgetten suspect.
Nigerians could have gone forward after getting his 15 mins fame.

DSS blew their chance to release Mr. Kanu way before time.
Now they have made the man a world hero and contributed more to the awareness of Biafra.
The world is now watching Buhari and Nigeria justice system. Biafra Republic is all over the news in Asia, Europe and all the continents of the world.

Well, I guess is divine destiny for Mr. Kanu who belived in himself and his conviction about freedom of Ibos from the shackles of Nigeria.
The decision is for Buhari to release the man now that things are cold and warm than allowing a situation he will regret hopefully take to his grave
nnamdi kanu detention might make him get fame bt believe me e will never b great,d guy will end like a smake b4 e could smell greatness
