domex007:Ok sir. I just put together this one. As e de hot. Hint: The answers here are comical but the questions are serious business. ............................................................. I got to the embassy at 5:5am, Oga Paulinus was sweeping. Later, he started praying. I was like today go better be that. After documentation, paid 21,500 visa fee (egbon, hold your change o). I went in for the proper interview at 9:05am. As I picked up the phone, the chat began. The questions include; VO: How did the interest to study Germany come about? Me: shoo! Ok lets go there VO: How did you apply for the programme? Me: Through uniassist. VO: What documents did you send? Me: I de list, she de help me remember. Lol VO: How much did you pay to uniassist or no money was involved? Me: free ke. €75. VO: Why MSc. in Bleep? Any specialisation, practical internship? Me: because, blo blo blo. No specialization, yes, internship. VO: Explain the structure of your program, core and profile modules? Me: I actually explained 6. Why not MSc. in your BSc programme? Me: I elaborated 7. Why Germany? Why not Nigeria, US or UK? Me: I dissected VO: Name of secondary school and University, and time line? Me: I did. VO: What was your BSc. thesis title? Me. Answered. 10. Which books/resources did you use during your BSc. project? Me: I named + authors VO: What was your graduating class of degree? Me: I yarn VO Why didn't you consider lecturing after your bachelors? Me: shoo! Ermm...I still talk why VO: When and where did you serve, including PPA and duties? Me: na gist we just de gist for this one VO: What have you been doing post NYSC? Me: I de do ok. Lol VO: Who is the German Vice Chancellor? Me: I know "Him" his name is... VO: German states/capitals? Me: I think she wanted only capitals, but I just de rain every... VO: Who do you know about the university town? Me: a lot o. My future abode.hehe VO: Where lies Germany? Me: central/western Europe. 19. Which countries border Germany? Me: na the 9 I drop o...she de count them. VO: Which year did German celebrate/ had their reunification? Me: I just say 3rd Oct. 1990. VO: Who is your sponsor, who does he do? Me: I talk o VO: What preparations have you made towards your stay in Germany? Me: ah...enough prep. VO: What happens after the end of your program? Me: you know na. The chat was as interesting as it was lengthy. About 50minutes. SideGist: VO asked for O'level scratch card, I said I could not find one, she giggled. She didn't ask for any SOP, I didn't table one either. It appears that they don't stamp passports anymore. You may be required to provide additional passport photos...she collected three (3). Lastly, If you can, buy your prepaid envelope before the interview. Yes, I recommend...you no go like wetin happen to me This is by no means the whole story...but the picture is there. Good luck to the next batch/es of interviewees. I hail everybody. 13 Likes |

Money transfer service to Nigeria suspended Dear customer, As you may have seen in the media, almost all international money transfer operators have been forced to suspend transfers to Nigeria. Unfortunately, WorldRemit and Azimo are among them. This has happened because of drastic and unforeseen action taken by the Central Bank of Nigeria. Our local partners have been told they can no longer process transfers to bank accounts. There was no advance warning that this was going to happen and the money transfer companies affected had no opportunity to appeal. WorldRemit believes this action to be unfair and we are currently contesting it. In the mean-time, we are not able to accept new money transfer requests to Nigeria. We are working to complete all pending transfers. In the limited number of cases where this is not possible, we will communicate with you and arrange a refund. Our mobile airtime service is unaffected. If you have previously sent money to Nigeria with us, we will provide updates on the situation by email. Kind regards, The WorldRemit team |

Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by nevilbot: 10:17am On Aug 03, 2016 |
uchezdedon: A friend of mine in kleve still used azimo around 5pm German time yesterday and it went thru in a jiffy. And Nigeria is still listed on azimo as at this morning. After going thru d CBN secular, I think d CBN point of contention is that des companies do not transfer d euro or dollar equivalent of wat d Nigeria banks pay out in d sent foreign currency. Dey maybe found a way of sending naira instead. So wat CBN is saying is if a Nigerian in USA or Europe sends money to Nigeria, pay d Nigerian banks in d foreign currency and not in naira while d Nigerian bank will pay into d receivers acct in naira. I guess its a way to increase d amount of forex in circulation and I don't think that is too much to ask. Just hope dey sort it out quickly 4 Likes |

Just to update every one on my student Visa process. I had my interview on the 4th of July and immediately after I sent the bank documents to DB. (In Ghana, you only open the account after the interview). The interview was pretty straight forward. - Why the school - Why the programme - Information in the sponsor (Sponsor is a UK citizen who is my fiance) - etc Then she asked me to open the account but I had brought the documents to the interview. So I paid for attestation right there and posted it by DHL. It arrived after 2 days. After 2 weeks I got an email stating that my account could not be opened because I didn't complete the tax information section. I resent the application(no need for embassy to attest) and exactly 9 days after it arrived I received my account opening details. I am going to fund the account tomorrow and I'm meant to send the confirmation to the embassy. My Fiance in the Uthis going to Germany to deposit it directly into my blocked account. Will update you guys on my progress 4 Likes |

I've been asked to send passport and insurance today. I sent my funding confirmation yesterday (8090). Looks like the new rule doesn't affect those that used the old blocked account form. Thank you Jesus! 10 Likes |

I know these questions might have been answered at some time back, but I really need some urgent and 'here' responses. Assuming I get my Admission letter today: How do I approach the visa application process, opening of Blocked Account, Insurance, etc? Your kind responses would be highly appreciated |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by chrisley024(m): 2:18pm On Aug 03, 2016 |
evoh:You go for opening of blocked account, I suggest you go to Abj since it's like you don't need to book appointment, and then book for visa interview. When is your school's enrollment deadline? |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by evoh: 2:31pm On Aug 03, 2016 |
chrisley024: October 1 is the deadline, but I have not got any admission letter from Uni of Jena. I am in Abuja, but it seems visa aren't granted here ( I am not too sure sha). Is the Block Account 8080 or 8800 Euros? What if I didn't get the admission, how do I get my money back? 1 Like |

Isn't 8640 Euros the needed amount for extension of the student visa? What I mean is, Deutsche bank might send confirmation for those who applied with the old form, but the Alien office might require 8640 for the extension in Germany. Gurus we need clarification ooo. 2 Likes |
