The Lagos Calabar rail serves Nigeria no useful purpose .importing goods into Lagos ports and shipping them via rail line to the Eastern coast is an economic blunder. The right thing is to use every available funds to develop deep sea ports in Calabar and link Calabar to the north and Abuja via a rail line.
is rail line meant 4 only shipment of goods?
smh

if we tuck our cows into d train to bring 4rm north here down to ya east there, won't we board d same train so dat nama nor gor waka lost 4 una area? angry

Can we stop this dumb politics of seaport, how is a seaport an excuse for not having railway. Someone should please stop making the SE a laughing stock.

You are the dumb one.

I am in support of the two projects; I only called for more understanding, but you will rather support the railway and object the call for a seaport because you feel threatened should there be a Nigeria based on Justice, Equity & Fairness.

Quit poking nose in affairs that has absolutely nothing to do with you and that which you lack remote understanding of the local challenges afflicting the concern people.

Very unfortunate comment from a Senator. Trying to win the emotion of the Igbo. In the last 16 years you were sharing the loot you never remembered us, now the table has turned. Where were you when the yank away the coastal rail line.
Politics of bigotry.

Ekeremadu is supposed to be shot! Has he turned Igbo people to a puppet generation?

Before Buhari, I mean before the daily provocation of this government, Ekeremadu and the sold out Igbo sons and daughters have done inter alia :

1. 2nd Niger bridge is completed

2. The erosion ravaged federal highways were fixed

3. The calabar - Lagos rail was designed to favour Igbo people

4. In fact calabar rail project was completed.

MIPNIG:

If only this was the voice and channel calling for Biafra, the Nigerian government would have sat up, instead they are busy buying jeeps at double price.

If South-South and South-East senators come together and make a declaration that they want out of Nigeria unless Nigeria is restructured to run as a true federal state where each state fends for itself and contribute an agreeable sum to the federal government for maintenance of the armed forces and security of our territorial areas, It would have gathered sufficient momentum for a any type of table discussion (round or square) but no; Politicians just sit in that silly Abuja, steal from government, destroy the lives of young girls, go to the chambers drunk while paying more attention to CCT trials than getting anything done.

Even to achieve Biafra,Igbo need supports of other ethnic nationalities! . Igbo may have the means to fight their battles but their major problem is how to deploy these means for a successful battle. The truth of the matter is that every tribe in Nigeria is marginalised in one way or another. Igbo are marginalised but so also are the other ethnic tribes-Yoruba,Itshekiri,Kanuri,Ijaw,Tiv,fulani,etc.

Igbo will always need the support of other ethnic groups in Nigeria to realise their goals and aspirations. You can't see every Yoruba, kanuri,Itshekiri,Fulani etc as enemies and expect these same people to give you their support when you need it.

It will be quite hard for the South-south and South-east to speak with one voice as some would have loved it. It won't happen! This is because there are too many complex and highly divergent interests to make this a reality.

Igbo must build bridges of trust and love across the country rather than hate speeches and campaigns embarked upon by the likes of Kanu.

This is how low you guys descend on common issues of infrastructure in this country, is not public knowledge that a seaport is already being planned for in cross river with the blessing of FG? who has objected to the ss having a seaport, what a shame. Did PMB not visit cross river for same reason some months back. All this sermon of who is threatened and justice or equity of yours is a sign of inferiority complex.

You dey mind that guy and him ilks that yeye railway pass thru 3 SW state just because the thin kiss Aba for inside jungle na him dem dey blame igbos.
We all know the problem with nigeria is not really construction but maintenance, if after constructing the railway and the train or rail develops a problem and it takes them something like a month to fix it are they saying that in that one month folks wouldn't travel to Lagos again, is it not the same terrible road that people will go back to during this period?
Those guys dey craze!
