Saraki Desperate To Return – PDP by DONSMITH123(m): 8:56am On Apr 19, 2016
The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Kwara State Chapter, Iyiola Oyedepo has alleged that the Senate President, Bukola Saraki is desperate to return to his former party where he served as a governor for eight years.
Oyedepo while speaking with some party leaders from the 16 local government areas of the state in Ilorin, the state capital on Monday said the All Progressives Congress, APC, was out to render Saraki “politically naked.”

He said, “The senate president is about to be made naked by the APC. APC is in disarray and he is about to be made politically naked.

“He is looking for a shelter in case the broom sweeps him away; is this the time to allow him to take refuge under the umbrella? The mistake of 2003 must not be allowed to repeat itself in 2016.”

Saraki spent two terms as governor under the platform of the PDP, and was elected to the national assembly on the same platform, but defected to the APC in 2014.

Oyedepo noted that PDP lost the 2015 governorship election in the state because candidates and party leaders never did things right.

“All the candidates of the party ran their elections the way they wanted with very scanty reference to the party executives at all levels.

“We did not handle campaign funds of the candidates and we were not involved in the logistical operations of the campaign.

“Where did we go wrong on the issue of our failure in the elections? After the primaries, some aspirants walked away, some betrayed the party’s candidates by working for our main opposition.

“Let anybody name any member of this executive that did just that. Even those that embezzled campaign or election funds are the loudest about dissolution of the executive.

“We have put together the state executive that was then divided by individual commitment to aspirants; the executive is now properly united and focused,” he said.

It's a win win situation for PDP. If Saraki remains we win, if Saraki is removed we win.

He should do that as quickly as possible. We know the party that houses corrupt people and that's where he belongs.

Let everyone express his/her opinions. You cannot change their belief pattern, just like you cannot change the directions of the sunrise and sunset. However, amongst the right, wrong, erroneous and misdirected, the truth is attached to one of them.

Dogara loading........ Atiku loading....

Meanwhile

Kawu Baraje, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has issued a note of warning to leaders of the ruling party, saying the issues that made him leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have started arising in APC.

Baraje, a former acting chairman of PDP, said the ruling party has lived below expectation since it took over the reins of government nearly one year ago.

Baraje was the one who announced the formation of a faction of the PDP, leading six governors of the party to eventually align with the APC in 2013.
