Two fuel-laden vehicles crashed and exploded on Monday night, killing 10 persons, including a baby.
They were burnt beyond recognition when a fully loaded 18-seater bus collided head on with a Mazda car on Gbaji Bridge, Iyana Yafin in Badagry, Lagos around 8.30pm.

It was gathered that 12 persons were injured and were rushed to the Badagry General Hospital.
The Nation reports that, the passenger bus which was coming from Seme border and driving against traffic rammed into the Mazda car marked KJA654XF with three persons on board.

All those in the car and seven others in the coaster bus marked LAR 279 DK were burnt beyond recognition.
According to the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), the bus drove against traffic to evade arrest by Customs officials.
It was gathered that the bus driver turned off his lights while driving against traffic to escape Customs men, who were at road blocks.

Both vehicles exploded on impact, causing a huge fire.

The inferno led to traffic congestion on the Badagry Expressway, as vehicles parked while the vehicles were burning.

Is driving against traffic the latest trend in Naija now? Or is it just a temporary insane solution brought about to beat the traffic caused by fuel scarcity in our roads?Accidents cause by this are fast becoming daily news. I hope drivers will not think those unfortunate ones died because they we're not sharp enough and not because they we're doing the wrong thing?
See how lives have been wasted just for nothing
May God console those they left behind.
Drive with care my people. Drive with care for your sake, and the sake of those you will implicate with your senseless actions on the road.

It's a common practice for commercial drivers to drive against traffic on that Badagry road while trying to evade policemen and custom officers on that road.Unfortunately some passengers encourage it because of the contrabands they carry. How can you drive against traffic and still have your headlights off in the dark?

Wasted the lives of the passengers.
