This is beyond being tribalistic and i wish and hope the President takes swift and strict decisions over these herdsmen, i read in another thread that these same set of people got a particular amount of money at ransom for releasing a kidnapped fellow yet one mofo above keeps shouting she believes in Buhari. No no no no! Mr. President is the chief security officer of the country. Its his responsibility to make sure that you and I are safe. If the Benue people retaliate, it could degenerate into some serious chaos or even war! I admit Mr President has a lot on his plate right now but that is what he signed up for. If he feels overwhelmed, he should honourably step down. I wouldn't want that though.

To start with Buhari himself has said very little in the last several months since assuming office, at this moment in time when an open fire is being held above a very flammable Nigeria, the Agatu crisis is a very touchy subject that can deviate from the current national discuss.

I don't remember when Fulani herdsmen started forming into militias who attack villages wand settlements without any known cause, where do they leave their precious cows during these incursions.

If a former herdsman leaves the profession of cattle herding, which is practiced religiously with absolutely dedication to the expensive cattle, and decides to become a criminal, can he/ they still be considered a herdsman , or if a Fulani man/ Yoruba man, efik, igbira, Hausa, Tiv man/men decides to commit a crime in a zone frequented by cattle herders, is the crime then ascribable as a Fulani herdsmen massacre.

It would seem they are the whipping boys in that region these days, I doubt there are that many jobless, unoccupied, violent professional herdsmen who decide to do nothing but attack communities, kidnap travelers, rob and kill at sight knowing full well they become persona non grata in such a community afterwords.

Do they often constitute a nuisance with their cattle , YES ! but to such a tactic to paint a community bad is despicable. It is similar to accusing MEND for all the pipeline destruction during the trouble period, while rather often it was just criminals using a suitable scapegoat as a smokescreen.
