My concern na cost of fixing and removing the speed breaker

I passed there during the weekends and I know putting that speed bump was a very terrible idea. The Nyanya-Maraba road is known for traffic gridlock even without speed breakers and to think some two to three pot holes at that Kugbo filling station has been causing serious hold up isn't enough, some idiots decided to put a speed bump on a highway!!!
Please Mr Minister, somebody needs a query for thinking such foolish idea while collecting Gov't salary. What a dunce!!

Political office holders should be given clear tasks and targets and evaluated using clearly defined key performance indicators. FCT Ministers are not for land allocation and business only. Any successful FCT Minister, should work on the satellite towns and create alternative routes to Nasarawa etc. In this case, the Apo-Karshi road and the bye pass from Keffi road to Mpape should be top priority. This will be a quick win and cheap commendation for any FCT Minister but will they ever learn? What is the Nasarawa State Government doing on its own part? We just see politicians driving in intimidating convoys, bullying and flogging motorists to give way for politicians when they 'condescend' enough to ply the roads. There are those who fly by air and then connect via chopper to one helipad or the other.

This is a nice development. I nearly cried last nite when I was coming back from movie location. Around 10:00pm and the hold up is still around Abacha Barrack bridge. I have to climb Okada and he followed One-way direction. All this Abokii okada. God I thank you sha.

When I saw those bumps yesterday, all I could say in my mind was "whoever did this must be a certified **fooool." speed bumps? on a highway? in 2016? Smh.

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Malam Muhammad Bello has ordered the removal of the speed bumps erected on the Abuja-Nyanya expressway, precisely at the Kugbo furniture market.
This directive which was announced on RayPower FM on Tuesday morning and monitored by DAILY POST was in response to the public outcry that trailed the appearance of the speed bumps said to have been constructed to enable residents cross over to Kugbo without being hit by ongoing vehicles.

Pliers of the road had since last Saturday when it was noticed cried out to the authorities to remove the bumps which had worsened the traffic snarl experienced on the road. Some say they spend over six hours returning home because of the ensuing gridlock.

The affected passengers had threatened to take laws into their hands by coming out with shovels and diggers to remove the bumps, even as they called on the government to rather construct a pedestrian bridge there.

Speaking with Mr Nwachukwu, a corps member serving in the heart of Abuja, he said, ” I live in Nyanya and since I resumed work as a corps member, I have never had such a terrible traffic experience. The speed breakers are causing serious gridlock. People who left Abuja main city around 4pm got home yesterday by 10 to 11pm. This is not good at all, especially when it’s happening in the FCT. We have been facing this terrible situation since weekend. I think the removal order is a welcome development.”
