Justice Ibrahim Buba of Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos today, 26 April, 2016, convicted twenty persons for illegal dealing and storage of petroleum products. The convicts are Captain Daniel Lebile, Ala Ibanibo, Wole Ajayi, Adesunloye Fani-Kayode, Michael Mgbanwa, Segun Ekundemi, Johnson Mashebinu, Ndidi Benjamin, Bright Nwaezuoke, Blessing Omoviye and Kayode Ireti.
Others Chuks Isiwepkweni, Friday Nchikpa, Peter Bayo, Ubom Amos, Zuopamo Embiowei, Olabamerun Owolemi, Adams Husseini, Ebisingha Timmy and Godwin Oputeh, MV Long Island and their companies Afa Global Impex Services Limited and GFL Marine Service Limited.

I was opportune to be there yesterday. He was quite lenient with them though, as per the terms of imprisonment. And then, they were given the option of 600k fine for the three charges they were convicted upon.

What do they think they're doing?

Trying to placate the citizenry by jailing these little fishes. They think we're going to applaud? They think we're stupid? Like we don't know what's going on?

Until they jail the bosses of these unfortunate thieves, this is just a charade.
