So, after noticing irregularities in my account statements, I decided to write firstcontact on their excessive debits. Imagine debiting account maintenance charge of like N250 (minus VAT) when total outflow from your account was just 21k. Plus the 'monthly charge' which does not come monthly. I took them to task about a month ago. After several reminders to them, I drafted a letter and sent to my domiciled branch. Part of my gripe was the account maintenance charge they debited from my savings account. That letter was delivered two weeks ago. Yesterday, I got the mail as seen in the attached picture.

Did anyone get this mail as well? Also, has any other bank started charging account maintenance on savings accounts?

I have left them already. withdrawn almost all my money and left about just a thousand naira to thank them for their years of service. informed all financial institutions who were linked to that account of my new choice of bank. so i am now enjoying their circus of trying to explain to me. and yes na yesterday them send me that mail too.
